What happens after you publish?

Congratulations! You’re ready to publish your listing. Guests will be able to find your published listing in Airbnb search results within 24 hours.

Make sure you’re prepared for bookings by taking these final steps in your calendar and the Listings tab.

Your calendar is open and bookable as soon as you publish, so be sure to update your availability right away. Block any dates you can’t host. Choose when your listing is available for up to 2 years. You can also adjust settings like how far in advance guests can book and how much time you need between reservations.

Your house rules set expectations for guests and help them decide whether your home is a good fit for their trip. Create your house rules by setting your listing’s maximum number of guests, quiet hours, and check-in and checkout times.

You can also choose from a set of standard house rules, like whether you allow:

• Pets
• Events
• Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes
• Commercial filming and photography

Consider how close to check-in you want to allow guests to cancel and still receive a full or partial refund. You have the option to select cancellation policies for bookings of less than 28 nights as well as long-term stays of 28 or more consecutive nights.

Choosing the right policy for you is about balance. You want to protect yourself from cancellations while still attracting guests who want flexibility as they plan trips. Selecting a more flexible cancellation policy may boost your bookings.

You already selected from a short list of popular amenities when you set up your listing. After you publish it, you can add the rest of your amenities from our full list of nearly 150 options.

Many guests use filters to search for homes with the specific amenities they want. Completing your list of amenities helps your listing stand out in search results and set guest expectations.
