Highlights

  • Airbnb.org is an independent nonprofit inspired by the generosity of Hosts

  • Hosts who offer free or discounted stays or recurring donations are eligible for the Airbnb.org Supporter badge

Your ability as a Host to make people feel welcome in your space inspires us every day. We’re particularly proud of the way our Host community has supported Airbnb.org, the nonprofit established in 2020 to build on work begun by the Open Homes and Frontline stays programs.

Since 2012, you’ve opened your homes to more than 100,000 people, including refugees, asylum seekers, essential workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, and evacuees fleeing catastrophic natural disasters around the world.

Airbnb.org’s work is possible thanks to the generosity of Hosts who provide stays and donors who provide funding to help support people in times of crisis.

Earning the Airbnb.org Supporter badge

We’re celebrating the Host community’s generosity by offering the Airbnb.org Supporter badge. Hosts can support Airbnb.org and earn the badge by:

  • Signing up to host emergency stays for free or at a discount

  • Becoming a recurring donor

Hosting emergency stays

The Airbnb.org Supporter badge recognizes Hosts who have at least one active listing through Airbnb.org that offers free or discounted emergency stays. Offering an Airbnb.org stay means housing evacuees, refugees, or others in need of temporary accommodation in times of crisis.

Donating on a recurring basis

You can also earn the Airbnb.org Supporter badge by signing up to donate a percentage of your payouts to Airbnb.org on an ongoing basis. Or, if you’d prefer, you can make a one-time donation without qualifying for the badge.
