Amenities are a top priority for guests on Airbnb. When searching for a place to stay, they can filter their results to show only listings with the amenities they want.

Even small comforts, like a TV or first-aid kit, can make trips easier and more enjoyable for guests. So it’s a good idea to include anything you offer.

Guests often search for listings that have:

  • Wifi
  • Kitchen
  • Washer or dryer
  • Free parking
  • Air conditioning
  • Dedicated workspace
  • Pool or hot tub

To add amenities, select items from the lists of standouts and guest favorites provided. You can add amenities you don’t find here after you publish your listing.

Next, note the safety items you have available on the premises, like a smoke alarm.

A few quick tips:

1. Don’t undersell your place. If you have an amenity, include it. Let guests decide, for example, whether an outdoor dining area with a picnic table is as comfy as one with cushioned seating.

2. Set guest expectations. Make a note to provide greater detail—for example, whether your BBQ grill is gas or charcoal—in your listing description.

3. Think like a guest. Ask yourself what you want and need as a guest when you travel. Consider adding those items, and other amenities, over time.

“Make sure to offer basic amenities,” says Harry, a Host in Athens, Greece, because doing so can help you attract bookings. “I found that spending a little money on a steam iron and a hair blower was worth it.”
