Staying here was an absolutely peaceful and relaxing experience. From the minute we arrived we felt more than at home, it was perfectly clean and felt very cozy. The extra touches of complimentary cinnamon swirl bread, popcorn and much more made for a very relaxing experience. It was great to spend some much needed time away hiking in some of the local parks. Not your typical "tiny house"! What a great house in an amazing location! Private and quiet yet close enough to attractions to be a great home base. Modern, spacious, one bedroom cabin with new appliances and furnishings. Everything was user friendly. The views from the front deck in the morning and at night are amazing. The location makes it easy to explore the Davis, Thomas, Canaan Valley, Blackwater Falls, and Monongahela Forest areas. Wish we had more time than just a weekend!

This place is magical! We could hear the small falls we were able to hike to from the treehouse! Toney even provided walking sticks- use them. Each morning we woke to birds and squirrel playing outside the windows- so many windows! In the middle of the night I watched at least 3 flying squirrel at the bird feeders while lying in bed- I watched for over an hour! The treehouse itself is a work of art and ingenuity. Toney has thought of everything! It is comfortable and peaceful! Toney has given people a gift that not just anyone might appreciate! It is special, it is unique, it is an experience and it is magical! We had but just arrived when I knew I wanted to come back! I want to see it in other seasons! My adult daughter slept in a Hammock on the highest platform the first night, there is a hot shower wet bath, stove for cooking, a black stone griddle outside and solar/battery power for lights etc. I am so glad Toney doesn’t want this place commercialized!

My mom and I wanted a little weekend away & Chef’s apartment was just what we needed! The space is clean & cozy. The king-sized bed is very comfortable. There were gorgeous plants everywhere, fresh fruit on the table, freshly picked flowers on the counter, cool books throughout the apartment, & even a corner with comfy pillows, a mediation chair, & drums! Chef kindly helped us get our bags up to the apartment. We met his lovely dog, Pacha, who is so sweet. We woke up each day & enjoyed an amazing breakfast made of fresh fruit & veggies & enjoyed the conversations we had with Chef while he cooked. How many times in life do you get to wake up and have someone cook you a farm-to-table meal? And he made it 100% vegan for us—amazing! We took his recommendations and checked out Oakland, MD. It was a cute little town and we particularly enjoyed the antique shop, Englanders. Swallow Falls State Park is worth checking out, too. This was a really unique, beautiful stay. Thanks, Chef!
