Four Fields Farm at Old Rag Mtn

DevRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We celebrated my wife's birthday with her parents and our dogs, and our weekend away at this house was everything we had hoped for. A fenced-in yard for our dogs who had an awesome time running around freely. Very private, no 'street noise', a beautiful view of pastures with cows and farm life as well as a great view of Old Rag. About 20 minutes from both downtown Sperryville and Madison, you're in your own world at this house unless you want to venture out and about. The WiFi was fairly weak, not a big deal to us because we had plenty planned and nothing dependent on internet access (other than getting directions to places because we didn't get a cell signal), but mentioning as if someone is planning on working remotely from this house, you may want to check with the host about internet strength. This was such a great trip and home, beautifully kept and the host was wonderful to communicate with. A beautiful part of Virginia that will have you wanting to come back as soon as you can.
A traditional farmhouse with a spacious front porch is depicted, featuring multiple seating areas and decorative elements. The exterior is painted white, with blue accents around the windows and porch. Lush green grass surrounds the home, enhancing its rural charm.

Refurbished 1880s Victorian Farm House~ Sleeps 6.

We had a great one-night stay at Maui’s place during our trip to hike Old Rag Trail. Maui was an exceptional host — he prepared plenty of bottled water for us and even had the charcoal grill ready to go, which we really appreciated after a long day. The home was cozy and filled with unique antique decorations that made the space feel warm and interesting. Maui was also very responsive and helpful with any questions or needs we had. I would absolutely stay here again if I’m ever back in the area!

River Front Mountain Views (Old Rag, SNP)

RebeccaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Wonderful weekend stay right on the river. Easy access to the hazel river, Shenandoah national park, as well as some short trails right on the property. Spectacular views from every window and multiple decks. It’s easy to sit and read a book while listening to the peaceful sounds. This property is beautiful with everything you need to feel right at home. It felt more like a home than a rental property. It was well decorated and somewhere you actually want to spend time vs drop your stuff and head out. We enjoyed our stay, and plan to return.

Mountaintop Retreat

DhruvRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a great time at this cozy house. David was responsive from beginning of the booking process to check out. There was a huge storm the day before our check in, which knocked out power for most of the area. Although there is a generator in the house, David kept us informed from beginning of the day to the time power was resorted. We appreciated having up to date information so we could plan our travel. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely return again.

Mountain Retreat — 4 Bdrm Blue Ridge / Shenandoah

BrianRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
One of the nicest Airbnb we've ever stayed in! It felt like we were in the most beautiful and upscale cabin-like getaway. All of the finishes, furniture, bedding, etc--were all top of the line! Plus the screened in porch felt like you were in a tree house, so restful and peaceful. The house in the country and in the woods, but Culpeper is less than 15 minutes away and has all the restaurants & shops you could ask for. Communicating with the owner was easy and delightful. 10/10 recommend this place!
The image portrays a charming brick cottage set against a bright blue sky filled with fluffy clouds. A gravel path leads to the cottage, surrounded by neatly arranged vineyards and lush greenery, creating a peaceful rural setting.

Rappahannock's Vineyard Cottage

IanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Like Rappahannock's cab franc, our time at the newly-offered home tucked amid its vines was velvety smooth. Just as the Fizzy Lizzy provides a satisfying surprise, we were stunned at the spaciousness of the place -- and the views off the porch. Even the linens were as crisp as a bottle of VX2! OK, maybe it seems as if I'm overextending the similes, but we absolutely loved it here. Not only because Rappahannock Cellars is one of our favourite wineries (just walk down the path and you're in their tasting room) but also because Kelly has set up the perfect stay for families and friends. Don't hesitate to book here!

Muse Vineyards Farmhouse, w Seasonal Pool!

JamieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This amazingly cozy farmhouse was just the vibe we were looking for. Beautiful outdoor seating (screened-in porch, deck overlooking the vineyards, and lounge chair by the pool) made it easy to breathe in the fresh air. Beds were comfortable and water pressure was great! The outside deck with Solostove was perfect for the chilly evenings. We enjoyed light snacks and wine at Muse Vineyards, which was lovely and got to meet Sally! We ventured into town for some local eats. Can’t say enough good things about Woodstock Cafe’s breakfast. We enjoyed a sweet treat at Sugar Creek and had a lovely walk down the street at Seven Bends. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, look no further!

Hydrangea House - A Bright and Peaceful Farm Stay

CassandraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lenah's place was wonderful! We were in Bealeton for a friend's wedding, and it was so close to everything we needed (including Moo Thru) but still in a rural setting. The house was spotless and had all of the amenities we could want. Lenah was even so sweet to loan me her iron so I could iron the dress I took for the wedding. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it!

The Hunt Box @ Tally Yo Farm

GracieRating, 5 starstoday
I cannot say enough good things about Lynn’s place. Myself and 3 girlfriends went for a girls weekend and the place was perfect. I have never been in an Airbnb with such a well stocked kitchen. We cooked most of our meals in the house and had access to spices, nice knives and pots/ pans/ plates. Not like a normal Airbnb that is bleak and bare. The pool area was super cute and easily accessible. We met and chatted with Lynn who was so sweet and helpful- and she has the cutest dog ever, Baxter. The beds were comfy, the showers had plenty of water pressure, there was plenty of room inside to hang as a group. The surroundings were gorgeous. I cannot overstate how much we enjoyed our stay! Honestly the place is better than the pictures. Thank you Lynn!!

Log Cabin, *Pool, Hot Tub* Views, Views, Log Fires

StacieRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Close enough to all the hikes we wanted to do. Pet friendly (huge for us) and beautiful views! Please make sure you read the whole listing, as you definitely need a vehicle with 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway. We brought our own towels, sheets, and so on as stated and everything else we needed was available. Would recommend bringing dish towels. We had forgotten them this trip. Cooking pots and pans are little outdated but they’re just fine! We had a wonderful taco night anniversary dinner at the cabin and throughly enjoyed a nice soak in the hot tub. There’s a very nice above ground pool also but it was too cold this time of year to swim in. I would definitely stay again!

THE PERFECT HIKING & WINERY COUNTRY RETREAT

AdamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay at Majestic Meadows. Sandy & Chris were wonderful hosts and the property was a great home away from home, with a beautiful courtyard full of colorful birds, a private pool, and a ton of flowering plants. Close enough to town to not feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but far away enough to feel secluded. I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. Highly recommend.

The Barn Loft at Cardinal Springs Farm

SherryRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We throughly enjoyed our stay in the Barn Loft. Andrea and Steve are gracious hosts. Prior to our arrival, we received information to prepare for our stay. We received timely communication on the date of our arrival. The property is even better than the pictures display. We truly felt welcome and at home. The furnishings are cozy and the beds are so comfortable. Our family enjoyed meeting the hosts, exploring the property, and the opportunity to rest and to relax in such a beautiful scenic area. We appreciated the fact that our dog could accompany us on this trip. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We look forward to returning.

6 Person House on Gorgeous Rural Estate w/Hot tub

BrianRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Connie is a great host and the 6-person house in Castleton was a wonderful retreat, just what we were looking for. The house was as fantastic as the photos show. Be sure to see their additional 'Grounds' photos on their website. The hottub was hot, clean and worked great (even in winter). During our visit, the donkey, miniponies, goats and ze-donkey were fun to watch grazing in the fields in the field on the other side of the backyard fence. Stargazing was great at night. A bbq grill was on back deck, and a propane tabletop social 'firepit' which was great for morning coffee hangout. A woodstove (& everything I need to get it started) was in the living room. We walked the paved 4+ mile loop to see more of their animals.

The Farmhouse at Cardinal Springs Farm

AmirRating, 5 stars1 day ago
This was our third time staying here. We absolutely love it here. It is our happy place. It’s very close to the town of Sperryville, breweries, restaurants, and a short ride to skyline Drive. The farm has lots of animals, chickens, horses, goats. There’s also a great pond good for paddle boarding and swimming. We are family of four, two teenage daughters. There is Wi-Fi but it’s very weak. So just something to note if you are bringing teenagers! But it’s nice to get them to detach for a couple days.
A serene view of a pond bordered by lush trees creates a peaceful natural landscape. The grassy area offers ample space for relaxation, while the reflections of the surrounding foliage shimmer on the calm water surface.

HB 2 at Spring Haven Farm

MikaylaRating, 5 stars23 months ago
Peter and Helen were just wonderful from start to finish. They made sure the cabin (which is so lovely, very homey and rustic) was ready for us complete with a book of things to do and intros to the area and their farm. There was a slight issue with another renter on the property, but Peter and Helen had it resolved in less than an hour (even though it was quite early in the morning). Within 15 mins of Sperryville and 40 mins of Shenandoah National Park, absolutely perfect.

12 Person House on Spectacular Estate with hot tub

NaomiRating, 5 stars5 months ago
This was a great space for a large family getaway. Lots of room to gather together in common spaces/large table as well as the ability to spread out. Kitchen was well equipped with high end appliances. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Wifi was good in some parts of the house, but not all. Know that there may be stinkbugs depending on the time of year, but the house was overall very clean. Would recommend.
