Relax, explore and unwind in this large, cosy apartment on our organic farm, in the foothills of the Serra da Gardunha mountains. Spend the day kayaking, walking or cycling in the mountains, enjoying the largest spa in Portugal (20 mins), & exploring historic villages and cities, then come home to relax in a hammock in the orchard, soak up views from the bath, or chillout to vintage vinyl. We live on site, but the apartment is totally private, being the whole upper floor & with own entrance.

An ideal location for exploring the area, the independent and private double bedroom is set in a rural garden of olive trees, mandarins, almonds, grapes, and figs, surrounded by nature with mountain views of the Serra da Estrela, the highest mountain range in Portugal. A comfy queen-size bed and quality linen + bathroom and kitchenette + Hot shower, mini-fridge, and mini stove ensure you can make the most of your stay. The house is located in the Mondego River Valley on walking distance of a beautifull isolated riverbeach. A great place to get away from the stressed world. Excellent for a couple or an individual who loves the simplicity, purity and silence of nature. The house includes an open kitchen and living room, a 11 m2 mezanine for sleeping, an outside shower, compost toilet in a 5000 m2 forest garden with granit boulders, natural structures, sculptures and chillout places.

A casa está inserida numa quinta vedada. Tem vista sobre um lago, um pinhal e a Serra da Estrela, numa envolvente natural de grande beleza. Tem as comodidades adequadas para uns dias sossegados, com aquecimento de ar-condicionado e electrico, um frigorífico, um micro-ondas, um pequeno fogão de indução, uma cafeteira elétrica, um liquidificador, um grelhador a gaz e outro a carvão no exterior e máquina de café (cápsulas Delta).

Apenas foi incorporada a inevitável modernidade mas nunca entrando em conflito com a sua arquitectura tradicional.
