Family-friendly vacation rentals in Port Louis District

a superb holiday in a faithful and comfortable rental. adapted and dunctional pool. Good hygiene and a verandah with ocean views. the furniture is in the theme of the island and gives a lot of charm to the stay. the only downside is the weak wifi in some rooms of the house, otherwise there is nothing to say. very good stay and the pool was a plus for all the family. The concierge is really great and responsive.

We had three very nice nights at Hans' house. The accommodation is spacious, with four large bedrooms, a superb swimming pool and a great location in Grand Baie. Clear instructions and a warm welcome. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

My wife and I stayed in Nicolas' home on our honeymoon, and we could not have been happier. Nicolas' brother, Armand, was generous enough not only to pick us up at the airport (about 45 minutes away from the home), but also to show us a good breakfast spot and eat with us on the beach, find us a car to rent and then drive us to the car rental place and help us coordinate, jump our car later in the week when it wouldn't start, and stock the fridge with a few essentials. Aside from his incredible hospitality, the house is a dream: four gorgeous bedrooms (the one we stayed in even had air conditioning!), and an unbeatable view from two patios that we ate breakfast on every morning. The house is conveniently located to great beaches and Mauritius tourist attractions (Casela Nature Park, Black River Gorges, Tamarin Falls, just to name a few, and not too far of a drive from the south's main attractions either). If we ever return to Mauritius, it will definitely be to this home!

We stayed for a week at Harry and Malini's. The accommodation is very well located, close to the sea and shops. I have nothing else to say, our week was excellent! Thanks to them for hosting us and for their kindness.

Perfect location, beautiful apartment with everything you need inside: a small balcony to enjoy the sun in the morning during breakfast, a lounge area with two swings to relax when returning from visits, a fully-equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom. Not to mention the outside with its large swimming pool, its well-stocked weight room, the relaxation area, the barbecue area... everything is magnificent. Great hosts who advise you on the best things to visit, very kind, respectful, attentive and attentive. I was able to share a barbecue and rum evening with them and it was perfect. I would 1000% recommend it and I will come back, that's for sure! See you soon.

We had a fantastic stay at this serene and beautifully kept home in Grand Baie. The house is spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable - perfect for both families and groups of friends. It’s tucked away in a quiet location, yet still close to everything you need. We especially appreciated the calm atmosphere and the generous space, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our time. The host was very helpful and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 5 stars all the way and will definately be coming back. Highly recommended!

Ruddy’s place was clean and tidy. The apartment was as described on Airbnb including everything you would need to sustain yourself for a long stay (we stayed 6 weeks). Ruddy was extremely helpful and accommodating, even giving us fruits from the trees in the garden. Upon any issues, he was very responsive. It was easy to get taxis from the road that would take you anywhere in Mauritius. 5min drive to the SuperU, which included a food court with different restaurants, supermarket, gym and cinema. Lots of bugs and geckos but this was not exclusive to the apartment and keeping doors and windows shut helped this. Belle mare beach is a 10min drive away and was one of our favourites to visit. Overall it was a comfortable stay and Ruddy was a great host.

We stayed 15 days at Christine's. She is welcoming, smiling and makes every effort to ensure you have a good stay at her place. It's always available. We enjoyed talking to her during a visit. We would highly recommend this place!!

Sheila was an exceptional host, friendly, always responsive to calls/texts and even went above and beyond to assist us during our stay (especially with her family for airport runs and car rental!!) Our lengthy stay was a home from home! We couldn’t thank her enough 🙏🏽 The place is a nice, big spacious apartment in the heart of rural Mauritius, small local shops close by - be prepared for some bugs in the evening, but friendly (and shy!) geckos, who actually help eat the bugs! Belle Mare beach (one of the best on the island) only 10 minutes away by car. La Riviere restaurant was also recommended by Shelia and is must to eat at, no need to make a reservation, you can just turn up! On our last day we also visited an island called Ile Aux Cerf which was a short drive and then boat ride away! Shelia also provided us with basic essentials: water, juice, sugar, cutlery, cleaning products and household basics. On top of all that she also provided a very useful welcome guide. Overall 10/

A nice and large studio with a great terrace. Very quiet yet centrally located. The beach and restaurants are within walking distance in about 10 minutes. If you want to drive to other beaches, a scooter or car is recommended. The landlords are very pleasant. There is plenty of hot water, the kitchen is well equipped and the rooms can be darkened with curtains. The bed is comfortable, the AC cools down, although it is also a bit noisy. Earplugs can help here. Everything is divided as shown in the pictures: a bathroom, a kitchen with seating, a bedroom and a living room with sofa and dining table.

Fantastic location, directly on the beach, really quiet. House is decorated with taste and really feel comfortable. The pool is not too deep so rather safe. The beach is really quiet and nice. Swimming is easy and not deep for a long while. East coast is more exposed to wind but end of June we had pleasant weather every days, despite some occasional rain that never lasted long. Asmita the cleaning lady is really friendly but also knows to be discreet. She was really taking good care of the house and us. It’s a real plus to have her. A car is a must to quickly go around, shopping or for dinner. We hope to come back one day.

We were allowed to spend 10 nights at Amelie's. She is a great host with lots of tips and nice conversations. The property is centrally located in Tamarin, shopping nearby and less than 1 km to Tamarin Public Beach. Through the hostess' garden you can reach the beach for wonderful sunsets and in the morning you can discover dolphins. The place is nice and large and has a great outdoor kitchen with living area right by the pool. If you are a light sleeper, you may be awakened by car traffic in the morning. The southwest of Mauritius is perfect for hiking in the national park and many other activities. We would stay at Amelie's again on our next visit to Mauritius.

Neat and clean. warm welcome by the host and instructions were clear. we had some grocery free of charge too, much appreciated from all the people who stay there. Would recommend surely.

We had a wonderful week in Tatiana's beautiful apartment. The view of the Indian ocean was spectacular. We practically had the pool and beach to ourselves when we were there as very few others around. Tatiana was very responsive, particularly when we had an issue with the hot water on day one. It was all fixed very quickly. I hope one day we can return as it was the perfect base for us to explore the area. Thank you!

We spent a great holiday in the ground floor Black reef apartment. The apartment is huge & well equipped. Kitchen includes all stuff you need to cook, from pots & pans to microwave & cooking machine. There is a huge fridge, coffee device and all tableware you need. The bedroom is nice and big, as well as bathroom that includes shower & bath tube. Everything is clean and very well preserved, exactly like in the photos. The terrace is opening to the sea and beach, that is very clean, too. There is a heated pool in the garden that is shared with tenants of the other two floors. The beach is nice but rocky, you can go into the water in front of the villa, but is better to use one of the very nice public beaches that are in walking distance. There is a supermarket where you can find almost everything & a very nice beach club (Le Plage) in 10 minutes walking distance and few restaurants closer. Communication was easy with both owner and local responsible person. Everything was perfect & top!

We booked the villa onella for our honeymoon in Mauritius and we didn't regret it. Pretty, in addition to being careful with the maintenance and cleaning of the villa, concocted delicious Mauritian dishes for us. The villa is very well-equipped and the area is very nice and residential. Only small "drawback" for the pool which is very shady and which was very cool. After we were there during the Mauritian winter so difficult to complain and I think the pool is more pleasant during the hottest weather. I would 100% recommend this listing. Special mention to Ariane who was always very responsive and who agreed to let us leave later in the day as the villa was not rented after us.

Great stay at a peaceful, cozy and beautiful house. It was private, clean, and fully furnished. Also a warm Stephanie to welcome us. Would have it as a first choice when around Grand Baie again. Did also receive a lot of information before the stay as well as tips about local activities/places to visit. For other visitors: following the GPS instructions can make you follow a bad unpaved road through bushes but if you read the map yourself you can get there through a good paved road as the residence is in an urbanised area.

We stayed 5 days and 4 nights at the Dilmed residence. Pleasantly surprised by the walking distance to the center of Flic en Flac and the shops around. The photos of the listing are identical to reality and the apartment is perfect for a couple. The necessary is present in the accommodation and a small + a plate of fruit and juice are offered upon arrival. Martine and Sabrina are easily accessible and on site every day if needed. Housekeeping is done 1/2 times a week, and sheets and towels are also changed. The host Ziaad is also available by phone, I recommend +++ and I assure you that for the location the price is relatively affordable. If needed, a taxi from the airport to the residence, round trip. Feel free to ask Ziaad, he will advise you and book it for you at an affordable price, much cheaper than taxis at the airport. You can say that it's really vacation time. Thank you

The apartment was really great! The location in Black River (west of Mauritius) is perfect for excursions and daily supply (supermarket, restaurants, boulangerie etc.) is just around the corner. The apartment complex is very nice, clean, safe and well maintained. The pool and the lookout from there on black River Bay and Le Mourne is tremendously great - not only for sunsets. The apartment itself doesn’t lack anything. It was perfectly clean, felt very nice, private and welcome to be inside of it and the balcony is great to enjoy your food or just to relax. It’s in our opinion of a perfect size for four people (family) and the available utensils/ items in the kitchen are well thought-through. Priscilla is a wonderful host with a perfect balance of being very helpful, friendly and reliable without forcing you to anything. We would definitely recommend the apartment as we experienced it.

Maxime’s communication was great, he helped us with an airport transfer and provided 2 cots and high chairs which was really helpful. The living area is really spacious and there is plenty of utensils etc in the kitchen. The beach is around a 15 minute walk and there are a couple of little shops at the end of the street
