Kerinne and Mike’s guest house was perfect for our long weekend stay. This quick trip was all about Hawaii Volcanoes National Park as we hoped to catch Episode 23 of Kīlauea’s ongoing eruption. We’d no longer gotten back to the hose and settled in, when Kīlauea started fountaining again. We raced back to the park and were never so glad to have chosen a location so close to the park as traffic was backed up for miles headed to the park when we were leaving. While the house is a little difficult to find at night, Mike was on the lookout for us and flagged us down and Kerrine’s directions ensured we were in the vicinity for Mike to see us. Friendly animals were a nice bonus! Would recommend this guest house to anyone wanting to stay near the park.

Our stay at the cottage was fantastic. The street is peaceful and beautiful. The home is surrounded by mango trees and wildlife; in the morning you can hear the birds singing all around and in the outdoor shower area you might see a little gecko friend!

Cozy spot with a beautiful yard. Loved sitting on the porch and playing with the dog. Too comfortable beds. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Highly recommended.

We spent a week at this lovely Kailua house. The location is amazing, basically on the beach and about a mile to local shopping, restaurants and gyms. The host provides everything you need for a fun beach experience: towels, snorkel, umbrella, and blanket. We will definitely be back.

Sharon and Mark were so sweet! We got a little tour and lots of great conversation with them! It was cozy and a beautiful location.

I can’t say enough good things about this home. It’s located conveniently, has everything you could need while spending some time on the big island, and has the most beautiful view. My husband and I enjoyed looking out at the gorgeous view over coffee every morning, which was such a great way to enjoy the home’s lanai. Karrie is a great host, communicates well, and helped us to feel right at home. Her sweet pup Scout hangs around the property and was a great bonus for two folks missing their dog :) I highly recommend this home!

Stepping out of my car, I was greeted by Karen and we walked through the magical lights towards my place for the night. There was a little “welcome Annie” sign at the door. Karen then walked me down to the beach to see where I could snorkel in the morning. This museum like home is full of LOVE. Art, Elephants, surf boards, even a buddha gong. Unfortunately for me, it was also full of little spider roommates that hung high above the bathroom and bedroom. The occasional spider is okay, but to have that many eyes on me was unnerving. I couldn’t stay a second night. I know, I know….I have an unnatural fear. I didn’t see any other friends. I would stay here again if I was with someone else. The bed was super comfy…. and the shower was heavenly. That was the best part for me! The fridge and stove were dirty so I opted out of eating there. ‘The Coffee Shack’, is a very delicious restaurant with an amazing view!! Call ahead to get on the waitlist.

Loved this stay. Convenient, modern house with clean and quiet location. We loved being able to walk to coffee and Merriman’s for dinner. The location is a short drive (15-20 mins) from beaches too. I would highly recommend it!

My partner and I stayed in the jungle cottage for 4 nights everything about it was accurate jungle type scenery it is very noisy at night due to coqui frogs but we didn’t mind it no ac but there is two fans that help out we had a great experience and stay here definitely a place I’d come back too

Robin was a great host. She was responsive and accommodating and the jungalow was beautiful. If you’re looking for a great place to reconnect with nature, it’s the perfect place.

This is a cozy spot (perfect for us as an active couple) in a killer location —five minute walk to the best beach on Oahu. Loved the privacy away from main house and especially the tropical and private backyard birdsong and colorful red heliconia. Loved the boogie boards and soft top surfboards! Outdoor shower was a bonus as was the washer/dryer. Raquel and Mac were super helpful and friendly. Loved the neighborhood, feeling like a local as we walked to the beach. Will def book again.

Loved Jordan’s place. Close walk to cliffs and a hike. Short drive into Hilo, but so nice to have space and the peace and quiet of the area.

Ich habe lange zwischen 4 und 5 Sternen geschwankt. 5 Sterne für die makellose und perfekte Unterkunft. Absolut sauber, super ausgestattet und alles wie geschrieben. 4 Sterne gedanklich, weil unter unserer Wohnung jemand (vielleicht der Vermieter?) privat gewohnt hat (weil ein paar Meter weiter er ein weiteres Haus auf dem Grundstück scheinbar selbst baut) und wir an 2 Tagen etwas Lärmprobleme hatten - aber nicht von den Bauarbeiten. Jeweils morgens schon ab halb 7, 7 die ersten lauteren Gespräche und ab 8, halb 9 dann auch teils laute Musik. Einmal bin ich abends davon sogar aufgewacht - es war, als würde mein Sohn nebenan Party machen. Somit sehr hellhörig, wir konnten jedes Wort verstehen. Da aber der gesamte Eindruck und auch der super Kontakt von Brandee positiv für mich überwiegen, doch verdiente 5 Sterne. Mahalo!

Great place to stay. Convenient to get around. Nice oasis created with lots of birds flying around while enjoying coffee and view in the morning. Very clean and comfy bed. Would definitely stay again.

Amanda was very friendly and welcoming. i would recommend this humble aboad to anyone and everyone. what a spectacular view! We felt very invited and it was warm heartfelt retreat. close to the airport and lots of amenities! Would definitely stay again. Mahalo

Airbnb stay in Kona was fantastic! The place was just as described; very clean and comfortable. The location was pretty centralized for Kona and in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Our host was flexible with check in and allowing us to use extra amenities like the laundry. Def recommend for a couple of people looking for a spot to rest at in Kona.

Margit’s place was perfect for my daughter and I. She had everything we needed, extra towels, sheets, full kitchen for cooking, cleaning supplies, a separate laundry room, a cooler, beach chairs and beach toys; which my daughter loved. Her place was very peaceful and BEAUTIFUL and I definitely enjoyed sipping coffee on the porch every morning. You can tell she definitely goes above and beyond to provide a great experience for her guest. She was always very responsive. I didn’t know a tapping sound on the glass was due to geckos in the area, but she and her husband came over first thing in the morning to check in. I will come back here next time I’m back in Maui 🏝️🩵

All of us enjoyed our stay at Debbie’s place. It was the perfect size for 5 of us; and that extra 1/2 bath was truly great to have! We really enjoyed eating the eggs from Debbie’s chickens that she left for us. We ate them scrambled and soft boiled and all were so delicious!! We picked fruits and flowers from their huge yard and we made friends with their dogs, birds and cows. We wanted to take a picture at the house with our Broken Dog Ranch shirts, but I felt bad that we were already late checking out. So we got together on Oahu for our photo shoot! 😁 This was my 2nd time staying at Debbie’s beautiful hale and I would definitely stay there again! Mahalo nui loa for your warm hospitality, Debbie! If you love simple quaint and quiet you will love this place! Unwind in Hanna..:the pace is slower in Hanna and this home is a little pice of jungle paradise! Steps away from beach walk with clift jumping a little beach and of course the ocean, lizards 🦎 and birds flowers 🌺 galore!! Stock up before you come to Hanna the places close early and can be expensive…the beaches are amazing and we will be back! Thank you for an amazing time Sybil! See you next time!

Gigi and Marc are wonderful hosts with all the amenities at this adorable cottage. We definitely felt at home. Hawaiian Volcanoes NP is right down the road. The landscaping around the cottage is beautiful and private.

Charles and Kathy are wonderful hosts. Great location for excursions. Easy in and out to road system. Highly recommend, and would definitely stay there again.

We loved staying at Heathers place! It will take you around 40-50 mins to get to Kona and other popular locations, which me and my partner did not mind and we were ready for since it is mentioned in the listing. Location is beautiful, surrounded by lots of pretty greenery and the view from the lanai great. We definitely took advantage of the provided snorkel gear. Her pups were always sweet and we loved having them greet us whenever coming back to the Airbnb. Loved the baby ducks too!! Thank you Heather!

If you are planning on spending time at Volcano National Park - stay here! Lily and Brian were helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Hospitality was top notch. We enjoyed the indoor-outdoor lifestyle so much! Everything was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was set up to cook really anything you could want. We spent the mornings before our hikes in the infrared sauna and outdoor shower. Followed by espresso on the deck. We got sweet hellos any goodbyes from the well-behaved family dogs. Lazy Acres is a truly special place. We cannot wait to return! So much more I could say but just trust you will love this place. Experience it for yourself!!
