Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Poljanak

This is my third trip to Croatia, and I was incredibly lucky to stay at this home for the first night of my journey. It’s a very popular place, so I was only able to book it for one night — but what a perfect start it was. Even in just one night, I was able to fully relax and recharge, thanks to the peaceful village atmosphere and the spotlessly clean, well-equipped space. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to any traveler visiting the area.

Ivan’s guest house is the nicest place we’ve ever rented! Everything is new, extremely modern, and well supplied with everything you need. It was very clean. The landscape is lovely and the outdoor patio is an inviting place to sit and relax.

It was such a lovely area and it felt right at home. We checked in earlier and there was fresh fruit, snacks for my son, easter eggs for both my children and a lovely local red wine that was so smooth. They gave us tips on where to go and what to try in the area and what to eat. They even gave us some fresh eggs. It was a great stay. So responsive and absolutely amazing house to stay in. We had a ball!!!! Great playing area for the kids, as well as some games in the house. This was a great stay.

A great spot to crash before heading to Plitvice National Park. Aleksandra and her daughter were very sweet welcoming us upon arrival. The place was clean and had a good layout. Shower was hot and good water flow. There was a nice outdoor seating area too. Overall I’d recommend it and would stay again.

The apartment matched the description of the listing. 15 minute drive to entrance 2 at Plitvice Lakes. A few good restaurants nearby and a big grocery store also. Branislav's father met us upon arrival and showed us the flat. If we could give 6 stars it would go to her father, there were eggs,milk, butter and jam in the fridge and he brought us fresh bread each morning by 7:30.

Le logement est très bien situé pour visiter les lacs (tôt le matin). La maison est agréable et calme. Nous avons été bien accueillis à notre arrivée et les hôtes ont répondu à nos questions, c’était agréable.

...die Unterkunft war nahe am Nationalpark Plitvicer Seen und sehr sauber. Die Ausstattung war super und überall Kleinigkeiten die den Aufenthalt erleichtern, wie z.B. Knabberzeug, destilliertes Wasser zum Bügeln, Waschmittel, etc. Es gibt keine weiteren Gäste im Haus, nur ein älteres Ehepaar, was sich um alle Belange sofort kümmert. Auf dem Hof ist parken möglich, was mir persönlich sehr wichtig war! Der Gastgeber war stets bemüht, das es seinen Gästen gut geht. Diese Unterkunft ist weiterzuempfehlen.

It's hard to put into words just how wonderful our experience was with these amazing hosts. My family and I were in a tough spot after another booking turned out to be a disaster, and they truly came to the rescue. With barely any notice, they had the place spotless and ready for us even before check-in time. From the moment we arrived, it felt more like visiting old friends than staying in a rental. We spent time hanging out with them, got so many great tips on what to see and do in the area, and even got a lift to a hiking trail one morning, among many other thoughtful gestures. They went above and beyond in so many ways that made our stay special - something we’ll never forget. We honestly couldn’t have asked for better hosts, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area. Thank you again for everything!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. It truly felt like a home away from home. Located in a beautiful town, it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. You can tell it's a well-loved family home, and we really appreciated the warmth and comfort. A gorgeous little cottage! We were surrounded by gorgeous green nature! They provided great recommendations for activities and restaurants close by! Close to entrance of park so we were able to start early. Also they provided bathrobes which we loved!

Incredible stay here, it was so clean and comfortable. Ivan recommended local restaurants and activities which really helped with our trip. Ivan was very kind and did everything to make sure our stay was excellent. The location is ideal if wanting to visit Plitvice lakes national park, a 10 minute drive to the entrance. The accommodation is surrounded by a beautiful surrounding, making the stay even more peaceful. Thank you Ivan!

Ivan’s apartment is spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. In a great quiet location. Ivan kindly allowed me to lock my motorbike in his garage overnight. Would stay again and recommend to others.

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. So clean! Our host was very friendly and responsive. The surrounding area is beautiful - under the protection of the National Park. Plitvice Lakes is just a few minutes down the road, which made it easy to arrive when the park opened - a must to avoid crowds. Grocery store less than 5 minutes away. We cooked our meals, but there were several restaurants nearby. Comfortable beds, lots of hot water, and lots of space for our family of 4. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient to the park entrance (2), great local restaurant, grocery store nearby, and so nice to have 3 bathrooms. The area was quiet and we wish we could have used the grill or fireplace but we only stayed for one night.

Very nice place and close to park. The host gave great recommendations for local places to eat, and was very responsive and helpful. We ended up driving to the parks, although place is walkable to the parks just a little further than anticipated. Overall great place to stay! Highly recommend!

Sehr netter und flexibler Gastgeber! Die Unterkunft war schön, sauber und ruhig gelegen – perfekt zum Entspannen. Besonders toll: die Nähe zu den Plitvicer Seen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Clean, comfortable, cozy. This condo met all our needs and, most importantly, it's close to Plitvice Lakes National Park. One thing to point out, and I think other guests also have mentioned this in their reviews, DO NOT let the exterior of the condo give you pause. Yes, the exterior of the building and the entryway need some TLC, but the interior of the condo is awesome. It's extremely clean and updated. People in neighboring condos were quiet. Also, there is a market nearby (within easy walking distance) with very reasonable prices. If we return to the area, we will definitely stay at this condo again.

This place is well located on the way into Otocac and very easy to find, with parking in the back of the house. The apartment was spotlessly clean and looked just like the pictures. We were very comfortable for our one night stay. We would definitely stay here again, and for longer; it would be a great base to explore the Northern Velebit National Park from, and the beautiful scenery around it. Otocac is also a lovely town with plenty of cafes, bakeries, supermarkets etc.

The accommodation fully meets our expectations and the pictures. It was easy to find. The apartment was clean and tidy with everything we needed. The beds are very comfortable, the soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, no outside noise. The kitchen is also equipped with everything you need. We received all the necessary information from the host in advance, so no further information was needed after our arrival. Parking in the courtyard is convenient. The area is beautiful, with several good quality restaurants and larger grocery stores nearby. If I come to the area again I will choose this one.
