Villa vacation rentals in Pico Island

Das Haus ist sehr schön renoviert und eingerichtet und auch beheizbar. Es liegt direkt am Meer und war im April etwas klamm, was dem stürmischen Wetter geschuldet war.

Super Aufenthalt! Schöne Zimmer, schöne Anlage, sehr ökologisch. Frühstück ist inbegriffen, Parkplatz ist vorhanden und reserviert. Super Aussicht und sehr ruhig.

We loved our stay at the Lava Homes! It was much too short but will definitely be back. Ana, who checked us in was awesome and very helpful. The house was pristine and you can't beat the view. I will recommend the Lava Homes to all of my friends. The Magma restaurant was outstanding as well.

We stayed Sept 1-Sept 6 as part of a 2 week trip to Madeira & Azores. Our other accommodations were hotels on either end of our trip. It was a lovely change to have a house in between. The space was perfect for my husband and me! The house is what we in New Hampshire, USA refer to as a “camp”-seasonal home, casual comfort (not luxury) with all of the basics. We prepped a couple of simple meals. The neighbors are close and seemed friendly. We were out exploring each day so did not interact. Someone does have chickens and a rooster. That didn’t bother us. I read a review complaining of bugs. We saw none except one tiny spider on the last day. The house was very clean and a great home base for our Pico adventures. Tips: Keep the key with you because it was easy to get locked out. (Our bad-Thank you Ana for being so responsive). Need a car. There’s a decent market 5-10 minutes away heading west on ER1. We found a supermarket 20 minutes away in Madalena that was better.

Very cute place, we really enjoyed our stay here! Maria was accommodating and helpful throughout our stay and the place had everything we needed. Would recommend!

Nelson is a great host. the location was great and super easy to use as a base to explore the island. supermarket was also near as well as the city center. this is a great location for families with kids, as the house has a separate garden away from the road.

It was a perfect family time in the quiet and beautiful place. Helped us to renew our energy. Maria and Beatrix were super nice and helpful all the time and responded quickly

This place is amazing for people who want peace, beauty, and inspiration. The house is absolutely lovely, and it was very clean. The bathrooms are big enough, and the water pressure in the master bathroom shower was great. The area where the house is located is beautiful. A small beach is very close, within walking distance. A nice bakery is very close by also. We rented an electric car from Maria, and it was easy to get to other places around the island; there was a charger at the property. The house view is to the east, so it is possible to enjoy the sunrise over the ocean. The light pollution is minimal at night, so it is possible to enjoy the night sky and also to sleep in total darkness. The service was outstanding. They picked us up from the airport, took us to get the car, took us to the house. The communication while we were on the island was prompt and helpful. Check-out was equally smooth. My whole family was delighted to stay here, we want to return soon.

É uma casa muito espaçosa , ótima para várias famílias com crianças pois existe o espaço circundante que é excelente. As crianças vão adorar a piscina. Britney facilitou o chek in e o chek out o que foi ótimo para nós. Para além disso está sempre preocupada com o nosso bem estar.

We loved our time on Pico. The property we stayed in as a family of five was perfect. We spent last afternoons after exploring the area sleeping by the fire and drinking coffee on deck enjoying the view . The breakfast was a a wonderful way to start our day. We recommend the restaurant after a full day exploring. Staff was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this property .

This is an incredible property. Every detail has been thought of. The views are insane and the house is decorated impeccably. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food at Magma, their onsight restaurant, was the best we had in Pico. The pool and yoga studio, just breath taking. We loved our entire stay here and will return. Like others have said, the driveway is steep. Grab an automatic or be proficient with your manual car. We had a 7 person manual van and managed fine but we are comfortable with manual drive. Highly recommend!!! We didn't want to leave.

The location of Lava Homes is very unique. The view is stunning. The property is immaculate. It takes your breathe away to see the summit of Pico Mountain to your left and the island of Sao Jorge in front of you across the Atlantic. It’s worth the price for the uniqueness of this property.

Beautiful place inside out. Very well located in between the view of Pico and the sea. We couldn’t find a better place to visit the island.

La maison est très agréable à vivre, le seul vis à vis est avec la mer. Très paisible on serait bien resté plus longtemps. Le restaurant le magma est très bien pour le petit déjeuner et le dîner, une viande délicieuse. Des hôtes souriants disponibles.

The views from our Lava home were absolutely incredible! The free breakfast was good ,loved the Portuguese pastries and cake .All the staff that we encountered were pleasant and helpful . We ate at Magma several times and the food was very good . The only thing we didn’t like was the mattress,just a bit firm for us .

Nous avons séjourné dans la maison " Casa de piquinho" en août 2022. Quel endroit merveilleux : la vue sur l océan et sur l île de Sao Jorge aux travers des baies vitrées est époustouflante ! Le logement est soigné, propre fonctionnel, avec des matériaux nobles en accord parfait avec l environnement Le petit déjeuner, inclus dans le prix, est au top. Nous recommandons également chaudement le restaurant "Le magma" (le poulpe..le gâteau au chocolat...) géré par la même équipe (à noter : possibilité de commander des plats à emporter) Si nous revenons un jour sur l île de Pico, nous reviendrons à Lava Homes

Unseren Urlaub mit Oma und Opa war ein tolles Erlebnis auf der Insel Pico und in dem wundervollen Haus von James. Das Haus mit Pool war unser Favorit in der Auswahl, damit für jeden etwas dabei ist. Aussicht, Badestelle, Pool, gemütliche Rückzugsorte im Haus und davor. Es ist alles da, was man sich wünscht. Nur das Wetter kann man nicht beeinflussen und deshalb haben wir mit dem Montana de Pico noch eine Rechnung offen. Deshalb kommen wir wieder und wenn möglich, sicher zu James.

Lava Homes was everything we wanted and more for our honeymoon. The home was gorgeous with its two bedrooms, large bathroom and absolutely amazing views. We’ve stayed at a lot of air bnb’s in Europe, North and South America, but this view and the beauty of this stay surpasses them all. The pool and amenities were gorgeous, the restaurant was delicious and the team at Lava Homes were incredible. We already want to go back. Thank you!

Il soggiorno a Pico è stato stupendo. Gli host sono stati puntualissimi, disponibili e gentili. Ci hanno accolto all’orario da noi indicato e ci hanno fatto trovare la nostra casetta super pulita e accogliente! Le aree comuni sono altrettanto pulite e ben tenute, piscina e vista top! This is a perfect house for a couple. The waterfront location is beautiful. It’s easy to walk around the area. There is a small grocery store at the top of the hill that carries everything you will need to prepare your own meals. We were here during February and a small heater was provided to keep the temperature comfortable in the living room. The bedroom has heat and A/C too.
