Vacation rentals in Petalidi

We spent a fantastic two weeks at Sea You Soon. The cottage itself is a pleasure - clean, stylish, comfortable, with everything you need - including Netflix! The garden is large and peaceful, patrolled by several friendly cats, with a stunning view across the Messenian Gulf to the Taygetus mountains. Best of all, it's a 60 second walk down to the beach, which (in May) we had to ourselves most days. The beach itself is pebbles and sand, but once you're in the water it's almost all sand. There are a couple of decent tavernas and a mini market in the village (c.15 min walk). There are some really good places to eat in neighbouring villages, 5-10 min drives away. We also used the cottage to explore other parts of Messenia/Peloponnese, including Olympia, Pilos, Koroni, all worth the trip. Regular visits from a cleaner to refresh towels and sheets. Hosts very responsive and helpful. Lovely place to escape to.

We spend as a couple a week in April in this wonderful house with a lot of space. The terrace and the View on the olive trees, mountains and a bit of the sea is incredible. We really enjoyed the nature. Nice small towns are nearby and it is easy to get everything you need in a small driving Distance. In April it can be chilly in Greece at nights but the heating in the living room was working really well and it became warm and cosy very fast. There was also a movable little electric oven and nice spare blankets. Friendly host and good communication. Great place for a holiday. There is enough space for more people to hang out and relax. We can imagine to come back someday!

Tucked away in the village but close to shops and bus route. Beautifully presented accommodation with a lovely garden and bonus orange trees - fresh, tasty juice every morning! Everything we needed was in the property and Gill and Mick across the road were so friendly and helpful it really felt like a home from home. Do pack with space to spare as Gill's shop is packed with her wonderful, original artwork - if only we could have brought home more - she captures Greece so well. local shops and eateries are in the village and again so friendly and prices comparable with the supermarket so do shop local. Rosé wine a speciality of the area so we tried a few, the Bio-wine at the supermarket one of the better low priced ones. Good walks to the nearby beaches and Koroni walk also a highlight, and the town well worth the three visits we made. We were able to use the bus a lot, cheap but high quality and really helpful in getting us to the right stops. We will be back, car to see more next time

O Δημήτρης ήταν ευγενικότατος , το σπίτι πεντακάθαρο με όλα τα απαραίτητα , πολύ ωραίες παραλίες σε πολύ κοντινή απόσταση , το χωριό Πεταλίδι πολύ κοντά στο σπίτι , πανέμορφο με ωραίες ταβέρνες. Όλη η περιοχή είναι πανέμορφη ,σίγουρα με την πρώτη ευκαιρία θα την ξαναεπισκευτώ.

We were planning a tour of the Southern Peloponnese and needed somewhere to stay for a few days in the Messinia Area. We looked at loads of places to stay and kept coming back to Athena minimal house so we booked it. And what a great decision it was! The first floor apartment was scrupulously clean and well presented with everything you need. The scenic view across the bay only improves as dusk develops and we loved sitting on the spacious terrace eating and watching the colours change. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We wished we could have stayed for 3 weeks, not 3 nights. We had very helpful and friendly instructions from our host and accessing the apartment was simple. Parking was provided and very helpful, but it's a tight space. Plenty of places to eat in Petalidi very close by. If you're looking for a place in busy metropolitan area, this isn't it however. We used it as a base for visiting Koroni, Voidokilia Beach, Pylos and Nestor's Palace. Can't wait to return.

Il soggiorno a casa di Yiannis è stato piacevole e confortevole. Check in e check out semplici. Yiannis non era presente ma è sempre stato disponibile nel momento in cui abbiamo avuto bisogno. La casa con vista sul mare si trova a pochi minuti a piedi dal centro del paese, molto silenziosa, ulita, ben attrezzata e corrisponde a descrizione. Petalidi è un piccolo villaggio sul mare poco turistico, con ottime taverne, bar, panetterie, piccoli supermarket, farmacia, banche e un piccolo mercato del pesce appena pescato aperto dalle 9 alle 10 circa. La posizione è perfetta: in 30/60 minuti massimo abbiamo raggiunto meravigliose spiagge a ovest come Voidokilia, Divari e la fortezza di Metoni e a est spiaggia di Zaga e Agia Triada con nidi di tartarughe e il Castello di Koroni. Nell'entroterra ci siamo avventurati nel percorso naturale che porta alle cascate di Polilimnio. Una visita all'antica Messini e Olimpia. Una vacanza meravigliosa, una terra accogliente in una casa speciale! A presto

This place was truly wonderful. Our family of 4 stayed for 5 nights and loved exploring the area. Vasilis was very kind and helpful. The house is in an wonderful location with a very good restaurant super close by. We will be back!
