Beachfront vacation rentals in Ometepe

Nous venons de séjourner 9 nuits à Glorianna. Cet endroit a été un réel coup de cœur pour toute la famille (un couple et deux enfants de 3 et 8 ans). Juan Carlos, Guissell et tous le personnel ont été au petit soin pour nous tout en respectant notre intimité. Le lieu est idyllique pour créer de beaux souvenirs et le service de taxi répondait en tout point à nos attentes. Cet endroit est parfait pour séjourner durant la course Fuego Y Agua (ligne de départ/arrivée/dropbag/dossard/remise des récompenses à 200 m sur la plage).

Very helpful and pleasant staff, delightful setting, very good food at good prices. Facilities are a bit basic but this is clear from the description. The two more modern rooms with en suite look like the best option - there are two basic private rooms, plus rather cramped dorms (which received no complaints). There is a nice restaurant area and a nice relaxation area with views of the lake (and sunsets). The excellent Santa Cruz-San Fernando beach is about 4km away, and buses can take you (slowly) further afield. The walk up to the nearby waterfal is hard yacka in the heat - much better to drive a hired scooter up the first 2km of trail. Overall, great value for money and a nice place to relax with the two delightful inhouse dogs and nice family ambience.

Great place if you're looking to stay directly by the lake! The houses are basic, but it works! I enjoyed most being close to the lake and going for a morning swim. Both nights there was quite loud music till late (and we like to sleep early), which could have been an exception... Fernando and the other staff are very friendly and welcoming. For a shorter stay I would def recommend.

La Poza Azul provides a little hideaway at the end of the world. If you want privacy away from the hustle and bustle of some of the more touristy areas of the island, this is your spot. There’s plenty of places to relax to enjoy the sun dotting through the trees and the breeze off the lake. I loved how alone I could be, but when I wanted company, it was easy to find. The land here is intense and beautiful. It will take what it needs to take, and give you what you need to receive. I love to camp, so I’m not bothered by lack of AC or bugs or general things that come with living with the outdoors, so mentally prepare for that type of living if you aren’t accustomed. Spike is incredibly hospitable and such a joy to get to know. He patiently and kindly answered my one million questions about Nicaraguan life. I loved the connections I was able to make with the neighbors, as well. The trip to this secluded spot was a HAUL, and Spike was so proactive and helpful in getting me there. <3

Authentisch und wunderschön!! Wir bedanken uns herzlich bei der ganzen Familie. Sehr gerne wären wir länger geblieben. Unsere Empfehlung, bleibt mindestens eine oder zwei Wochen. Es ist wunderschön in der Natur und auf dem Hof anzukommen. Ohrenstöpsel für die Nächte nicht vergessen, die nachtaktiven Tier und der Hahn gehören dazu:)

Wilber and Lesbia were wonderful hosts and their place was absolutely beautiful. It was clean despite it being quite rustic. We had many animals and bugs come through and it was a very fun experience. The private beach and access to the lake was incredible and the homemade breakfasts are highly recommended.

Lovely family, we felt very welcome. Nice location right at the lake. They made us great lunch and breakfast!

Nothing bad to say about Hector y Isabel's place. Hector was such an amazing host who is so gracious and knowledgeable about the beautiful island of Ometepe. He gave us a great deal on renting his motorcycle and even brought in his sister in law to teach us how to cook local cuisine. If you ask nicely, he might even bring you up the hill and show you his beautiful farm on the side of the Maderas Volcano. Great location right on the beach and close to restaurants and 2km or so to Ojo De Agua. Do yourself a favor and stay in this great spot. Thanks Hector!

J ai adoré mon séjour l endroit est formidable. Le balcon donne une très belle vue sur l océan et les coucher de soleil sont a couper le souffle. Le spot est parfait pour aller surfer et profiter pleinement de la plage et la piscine. Pour se rendre au village il est préférable de se louer une petite bicyclette, moto ou kart de golf ! Il est certain que j y retourne l année prochaine!

Beautiful spot- steps from the beach which is such a bonus traveling with kids. The view from each balcony was so nice. The small private pool was perfect too. I was in the master bedroom and the a/c worked great at night. We brought our paddle boards and the bay was a perfect spot for that. We saw a sea turtle! Our host was very communicative and accommodating. The beach bar/restaurantwas very disappointing. The first day they didn’t have fruit so no smoothies or blended drinks. The second day all they had available was beer and shots. So bring your own drink and food so you don’t get stuck without! We were a little disappointed that the beautiful sliding patio doors didn’t have a screen so we couldn’t keep them open for an ocean breeze (flys and mosquitos). We had a wonderful time and will definitly come back!

Our stay at Villa Delfin was outstanding, we can’t recommend this place enough! The ocean views are gorgeous, especially the sunsets, from your own private infinity pool. The rooms were very comfortable for 2 couples and our baby. The A/C in the rooms kept us cool at night. The kitchen is really well equipped to cook - highly recommend using their chef for a night or two, she made amazing Nica meals for us to enjoy! Easy to walk to a few restaurants on the beach and you are right on Maderas surf beach to catch some epic waves. The staff are extremely accommodating and helpful - it’s also a nice touch having a Doctor on site. We can’t wait to come back to stay at Villas Playa Maderas again!

The space is small but you have everything you will need. The location is great, you’re far enough from the town center that you don’t get all the noise but just a couple of minute drive to everything. We were able to check in and check out earlier and communication was fantastic. Would love to stay again!

This home is huge! We adored Luis and family who live next door and are available to help with anything. There is a little buzzer on the fridge to call them if needed. They’ll even do your laundry! We’re all learning spanish and it was so cool to have a local host available for a chat- very authentic experience :) The kitchen is well stocked with all the kitchen supplies (so rare for Airbnb’s). I gave the house a 4 for cleanliness but that is only due to the indoor/outdoor nature of the construction. It really couldn’t have been any cleaner. Occasional critters make their way into the house - a street cat, a bat, a bird, a few geckos. My kids loved the critters and the bedrooms are fully sealed so nothing gets in there. No issues with mosquitoes at all. The pool is lovely and the location is spot on and super safe. Highly recommend!

Can't say enough about Casa Margarita. It was a wonderful trip, made even better by a communicative, helpful, engaged owner. I'm hesitant to write such a glowing review because I want it to be available when I return to Guasacate next year! It would be a fool's errand to try to encompass my thoughts, as I'd leave something important out, but it's a safe bet that you'll enjoy your stay at Casa Margarita. I'll certainly be back soon.

Great location close to town but not too close. House is modern and relaxing. Beautiful view of the bay from the large picture windows. We would stay again.

We had a very nice stay at Casa Pocahontas and felt right at home. The house is decorated with a lot of love and is located about 10-15 minutes walk from Playa Maderas. We spent a lot of time in the open living area with the huge terrace. A great place to relax, read a book or watch the wildlife in the jungle. The kitchen, bathroom and bedroom were well equipped. There was even a yoga mat and blackrolls. If we had any questions, Sebastian was always available and due to the keybox the check in/out was very flexible and uncomplicated. We can only recommend the Casa and would definitely come back again.

We loved staying at Carolina’s house and really wished we could have longer. The house itself was beautiful and comfortable while the outside space also was equally enjoyable. Carolina was an amazing host who helped us so much, we’re very appreciative of her sharing that space they’ve built with us. It really does feel like a paradise when you’re able to watch sunset from that hammock or walk the beach at Playa Amarillo with no one around. It was fantastic having both the empty Playa Amarillo and Playa Gigante, with some walk-up bars/restaurants and small pulperías. We can’t wait to go back, and if you’re considering this area, this really was an amazing find to us.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this place!! The home is beyond beautiful and we enjoyed having two floors and access to anything we needed. The location is the shortest walk to the beach with gorgeous views and surf lessons in close proximity. We would stay here again!!

Nous avons passés un magnifique séjour à popoyo dans le logement d’Isabelle et Petrona. Peteona était sur place pour nous accueillir, nous nous sommes sentis à la maison dès notre arrivée. Le logement est très bien équipé, situé au bord de la plage avec restaurant et épicerie tout se fait à pied sans problème. Directement à coter du popoyo republic donc on peut de musique mais rien de très intense. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir!

For slow travellers and and those who enjoy the simple life, Dale's is like a tropical home away from home. Muchos gracias, Dale!

Nous avons adoré l’appartement, particulièrement la terrasse avec la vue et les couchers de soleil. L’appartement est à 10 minutes à pied de la plage. Heureusement le taxi connaissait l’emplacement. Si vous arrivez par vos propres moyens, assurez-vous vous d’arriver de clarté.

Our stay at Salty Surf was fantastic! Emeline is a wonderful host, she has all the best tips for the area - Carolina (care taker) is very sweet and helpful too! The A/C in the bedroom worked great, bed was comfy and kitchen has all the basics for cooking. Beautiful spot on the beach, love having coffee listening to the ocean waves. Walking distance to a few good restaurants, coffee and groceries. Surfing is about a 15-20min walk away. Highly recommend this gem in Popoyo!
