Cabin vacation rentals in Obertauern

Very nice house with sauna and jacuzzi tub tub. There is a large terrace with a magnificent view over the mountains. Parking is not a problem. The kitchen could use a little more utensils, but they will be retrofitted soon. Conclusion: the house is wonderful place for a quiet holiday to hike and relax.

An absolutely fantastic stay in the mountains! The alpine hut in the Lesachtal exceeded all our expectations – surrounded by beautiful nature, with hiking trails right outside the door and numerous birds of prey, alpine jackdaws, alpine swifts and even vultures that we could observe. The cottage itself is authentic, cozy and very clean – equipped with everything you need on an alpine pasture: gas kitchen, wood stove and a very special flair. The jacuzzi at 1600 m altitude was a unique experience! Barbecuing with a view of the mountains was also unforgettable. Friendly cows grazed in the area and the fresh mountain spring water right at the house rounded off the natural experience. Madlyn was very friendly and explained everything we needed to know for our stay. We felt completely comfortable and would be happy to come back. A clear recommendation for those seeking peace, nature and originality!

Super nice contact, answers came very quickly and in detail. Very cozy house, looks original better and bigger than in the photos. Everything clean and beautiful clock yet modern. I only heated and cooked with wood, that was awesome. Super great area where you can experience great tours (we in winter with lots of snow). We made beautiful snowshoe tours and everything in the immediate vicinity. Very nice neighbors who are there to help you, where we were also invited to Christmas Eve, such a thing is not self-evident. Thank you for these wonderful quiet beautiful days in the house. The house and walking is highly recommended.

The host was great, he was very polite and was ready to adapt to our needs. The house was very cozy and beautiful. The location is great if you are planing to travel by car otherwise it is quite remote.

We had a very nice time at the cabin. The two children enjoyed the animals & the many play opportunities on the outdoor area. It was all very clean and well maintained and even more beautiful than in the pictures. Thanks to the sauna and hot tub, we were able to relax well and the view was fantastic on all sides!

Actually, you could describe the accommodation as 2-3 residential units, because the bedrooms were spread over 3 levels. So you also enjoy a lot of privacy in group. Everything was very clean, kitchen well equipped. The only point that would be in need of improvement is a shower next to the sauna. For this you had to go back into the house and either go up or down a floor. But as I said, it is only a suggestion. Thanks for everything.

We were there with a group and had a great time. The cabin absolutely met our needs. Everything you need is available. The view is outstanding And the hot tub was our absolute highlight. I'd love to come back.

Teresa's place was perfect for us. The house was spotless and hadeverything we needed including some extras! I would definitely stay there again. It is walking distance to all the Halstatt activities. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Romana's Hütte in Grundlsee! The cabin was spotless, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Nestled in peaceful and stunning natural surroundings, it was the perfect escape. The area itself is magnificent—ideal for anyone looking to relax or explore nature. Romana, the host, was kind and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. We definitely recommend this place and would love to come back again!

Had 2 great weeks. Lots of outings to do in the area (all within an hour's drive from the cottage) David's recommendation (walking to the mountain lake is well worth it!) and then it is wonderful to 'come home' to the cottage after an active day. The cottage is very quiet, the neighbors are friendly and there is plenty of space! Everything is available (kitchenware, television, games etc) Partly because of David's hospitality, we soon felt comfortable in the cottage. A plus was definitely the sauna. Definitely worth going here!

We enjoyed our vacation at Pyrbaumer Hütt'n in Hohentauern to the fullest! The cabin offered us everything our heart desires. The surroundings invite you to great hikes and activities in nature - and even in bad weather we were able to make ourselves comfortable in the sauna. Really a great vacation - we'll be back!

Ute and her family were so kind and warm. Always available. Helpful with everything you needed, including leisure tips. The cottage was fantastically beautiful. The location as well. All in all, a dream. We'll be back.

The location of the cottage is a dream! The view is incomparable and you can really do a lot in the area. We were there with our two small children and we were very enthusiastic. The cottage has real cottage flair, is solidly equipped and you have everything you need.

We were there with our 2 children and it was just gigantic. Huge, everything super clean and well equipped. Everything was super explained and easy. The sauna was great! The location, the view, the terrace and the fireplace - everything is fantastic! We will be back :)

Despite the initial difficulties we had a wonderful stay. Riff is a generous host, and easy to communicate with, problems were promptly addressed and quickly solved. The place itself is magical, the emptiness of the village that others found spooky actually was uplifting for us, and the quietness and the beauty of the mountains offered perfect immersion and winding down. The house is lovely and cosy, the upper store is a child’s dream - my son enjoyed it immensely. We are regulars to the area, know the neighboring ski-resort very well and beside skiing we enjoyed the local cuisine very much, or sometimes just grabbed a pizza from the village down in the valley. Johanna's log cabin is a nice house with everything you need for a short break at Lake Irrsee. The rooms are a bit small, but there is enough storage space to accommodate everything and to be able to move freely. Beware of bed lengths and large guests (we overlooked this in the description, but went anyway). The large kitchen is very well equipped. A pan on the induction stove did not work for us and Johanna was there with a new pan within a very short time! 🙂 The living area and the large well-equipped terrace invite you to relax. A mini minus for us was that we thought the house was right by the lake. However, there is a sports/football field directly in between. Was used very little during our stay. The lake access is within walking distance and very pleasant and quiet with a small catering station. All in all, it was a very relaxing stay for us. We will be happy to come back. 😊

Great short break!🥰 We were lucky that Simone's Knusperhäuschen was still available on our first wedding day. Everything corresponded exactly to the description and this view 😍 a dream! Even if only briefly, but we were able to unwind and relax, the location is great and you are far away from all the stress. Thank you so much Simone for making such a nice little cottage available to others. We definitely recommend you!

Tanja and her in-laws, who manage the cottage, are very friendly and helpful. The location is of course fantastic and the cottage very nice. It should be noted that the electricity is provided by generator and is only available at a very reduced rate (light) between 9 PM and 6 AM. The heating is a furnace heater, which is good to know at this altitude and the temperatures there. Communication was good. The journey can be a little intimidating if you are new to the mountains - the navigation system says 100 km/h on mountain roads and thus calculates the travel time earlier. But you're more likely to be traveling at 30-50 km/h. It's good to find your way

We immediately felt comfortable in Julia and Bernd's log cabin. Highlights for us were the seating options outside (balcony/garden) and the perfectly equipped kitchen! The hosts were friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this place!

We have already stayed with Matthias for the 6th time and have enjoyed it very much this year - despite bad weather - as always. If you love the peace and seclusion but also the simple, original life, this is the place to be. Matthias is a far above-average host and person and it is always pleasant to see him and talk to him. We will be back!
