The Cottage on the Green

The Cottage is situated on the backside of an acre parcel behind the main house. A swimming pool separates the main house from the cottage. The property is very quiet, peaceful and private. Guest have a Separate entrance. We are a retired lieutenant from a California LE agency and his wife a retired teacher who give guests as much privacy as requested. We are a short distance from the Longleaf Trace and 1.5 miles from the Barn at Bridlewood wedding venue for those attending a wedding there.

The Leaf River Yacht Club KAYAKS INCLUDED

If you are looking for the perfect escape, look no further than “The Leaf River Yacht Club”. This beautiful cabin will make you feel right at home as if you are in The Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Built in 2014, this home offers breathtaking views of the long & winding Leaf River, a 1-mile sandbar, unlimited sounds of nature & birds singing, as well as peace & quiet. Located 1.8 miles off the blacktop, this getaway allows you to reconnect with nature & re-energize for the daily grind.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Go fishing in a bass pond or walk a short distance to a 2 acre catfish pond. Enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine on the back porch overlooking the pond. This place is centrally located 1 and 1/2 hours from Mobile and The Gulf Coast Casinos. We are 2 and 1/2 hours from New Orleans, 20 minutes from Hattiesburg and 30 minutes to Laurel. You will be greeted by two friendly German Shepards, Hans and Heidi Wiseman.

We invite you to enjoy our special place away from the daily chaos and hustle. A place where you can swim, fish, kayak, build a fire, play endless outdoor games, or do absolutely nothing at all. Do yourself and your family a favor and make some time to slow down and enjoy each other for a couple of days. Leisure on the Leaf #1 is the cabin on the left in the photo. Recently renovated, the cottage has all the necessary amenities as your home would.   It sits perched on a hill above Red Creek.  It's a great location if you would love to see more of the gulf coast region! It is within reasonable driving distance to the beach,  casinos,  shopping & more!
