At the Steinhuder Meer you will find many recreational opportunities, restaurants and cultural offerings. Poggenhagen has a S-Bahn connection, which makes it possible to get to the beautiful state capital Hanover by public transport (30 min. travel time).

From our vacation home, you can reach the Steinhuder Meer, the Dinopark or the Loccum Monastery and much more by bike, car or public transport in just a few minutes. The location, close to the sea cliffs, invites you to take walks, hikes or bike tours through the beautiful nature. For everyday needs, shopping and dining are available within walking distance. The former bakery in Schweringen was completely renovated as a guest house in 2019 and now offers 2 rooms (1 room with a double bed, 1.40 wide and 1 room with 2 single beds, 90 cm wide) with a shared living room, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. The Weser ferry and the Weser cycle path are right outside the door. Schweringen and the beautiful surroundings invite you to take long walks and bike rides.

A tiny house is available for rent in the Steinhuder Meer recreational area (Mardorf) The cottage is located on a quiet side street. The promenade is within walking distance. 10-15 minutes. There is a forest right outside the door. Behind the house is the bike path around Steinhuder Meer, so you can start right outside the front door. Daily necessities are easily reached on foot or by bike.
