Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Nanaimo

The comfort of the cabin was perfect for our rainy weekend away as we ended up spending most of our stay indoors. The little fireplace kept the space cozy and warm for when we came in from the hot tub. Plenty of room to set up a large dog bed and the enclosed deck was wonderful to allow her to roam without any worry of her wandering off. We had a lovely time at Ash & Brett's.

Ingrid’s home is incredible and was an amazing place to stay for our wedding weekend. The home is beautiful and Ingrid left thoughtful touches around for us. Communication was excellent and we had everything we needed. Exceptional host and exceptional property.

Absolutely stunning location - saw loads of wildlife from the terrace, and an amazing view over the water. Property was also very well supplied with a super modern kitchen and ample bed and bath space. Will be back!

We had a great time at Scott's place. It was well equipped, comfortable and felt very homely and welcoming. Scott was very friendly and responded immediately to any queries. He gave us helpful tips for local walks and wildlife viewing. We particularly loved watching hummingbirds just outside the lounge windows. We would recommend Karmix Cottage to anyone wanting a get away from it all break, but within easy reach of beaches, waterfalls and forests.

We had a very enjoyable two night start at Haining’s place. Beautiful location, very peaceful, idyllic. A highlight was waking up to see deer in the garden. Great value for money. Excellent host, helpful communication. We would definitely stay again, and would recommend to friends/family.

Had a great stay. This place was perfect for the three of us friends. We each had our own bedroom and all agreed the beds were very comfortable. There were lots of towels. Kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of coffee pods for the keurig. Really nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Liked that there was green space behind the house. If we were to come back to Nanaimo, we all agreed that we would definitely stay here again.

Coastal retreat was lovely and perfect for two couples. 2 bathrooms seemed like quite a luxury. Suite was clean, view and property were beautiful. Dyan greeted us when we arrived. Dyan and Des were responsive and friendly. Would definitely recommend this property and would for sure stay again. Everything was exactly as described.

Angel House was a grand choice for holiday. A hot spot for a mini reunion with family I hadn’t seen in donkey years. Diana and Paul greeted us warmly and were available throughout our stay. At €750 per night and a €21 cash fee per guest, it accommodated up to 12 guests in 7 beds. Listed as “Entire Home” was attached to Diana’s living quarters but it did not detract the experience. Charming décor, window coverings invited early morning light and hotel-quality pillows needed after a long drive. The provided salt and pepper were a nice touch. Nomads will know to bring their own essentials but I prefer not to ask hosts for things during my stay. Despite a few minor issues—no ice on arrival, low ceiling in upstairs bathroom—house provided ample space otherwise with reliable Wi-Fi and a dishwasher! Location was close to Maffeo Sutton & Colliery Dam Park, a short drive to Duke Point Ferry Terminal and bistros around for lunch. Casa Angel de Nanaimo is a value for a memorable reunion!

We had a wonderful stay at Tanis’ beautiful home! Everything was spotless when we got there, check in and check out were super simple and easy. Location is great with great amenities. Thank you for being such an awesome host Tanis!

Spacious, clean, modern unit and dog friendly.

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and convenience of this property. So much so, that we considered buying a cottage in this community. Our stay was a luxury experience. Kate and Fohla were wonderful hosts and gave us personal attention as needed. We will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful, quirky home. We had lots of space to come together and our own little nooks to retreat for some quiet time. The kids loved learning to swim in the pool. We all enjoyed exploring the property which is full of little discoveries and surprises to delight. Waking up to birdsong was so lovely. It's close to beaches (drive or bike) and trails (walkable). We are already planning our next visit. Thank you for your hospitality.

This was a fabulous rental, it was perfect in every way. Every step of this booking was just a great experience, the host was so friendly and fun to chat with and thought of everything a traveller might need. All of the instructions were clear and well thought out, everything was as expected if not better, the place was spotlessly clean and everything was provided for. Judy's place was clean, tidy & well equipped. We had everything we needed with all of the comforts of home. the kids loved the amenities of rathrevor Beach & the pool being near by! thank you! we will definitely be back!!

Our family of 5 plus our dog enjoyed our stay at Oceanside Escapes. Johanna and Julie were readily available to answer any questions that we had before and during our stay. The cabin was well-supplied and had a binder listing many local recommendations. It was a short walk to Rathtrevor Beach which we all enjoyed, particularly our dog. All essential amenities and many attractions were nearby. The central air conditioner was especially helpful in keeping the whole cabin cool during the hotter days. We will be back.

A beautiful, serene little place, right on the waterfront. It had everything I could have needed (I wasn't really planning to cook for myself but if I'd wanted to, the kitchen was fully equipped). I was looking for quiet few days for a solo retreat and reflection time, and Cheryl's place was ideal. Right on the waterfront, tables and chairs to sit outside and enjoy gazing at the ocean (some bunnies came by to visit), and a beautiful, majestic eagle kept watch over me while I was there. I heard but was not quite lucky enough to see a sea lion barking at the water's edge, and there were graceful herons taking flight and landing. I recommend the schnitzel Haus conveniently located across the street because I practically waddled back home, it was so filling and delicious. The unit was just as described, clean, comfortable, a perfect getaway. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Such a nice place to stay! Travis is a wonderful host. He thinks of everything. Overall, Travis's place is one of the best places we stayed. We definitely will stay here again if we get a chance.

Magnifique airbnb dans la foret, avec grand patio pour en profiter. Le hamac a ete apprécié! Nous n’avons pas essayé les installations de spa. Des cerfs venaient nous visiter sur le terrain. Megan était facile à rejoindre en cas de probleme, tres gentille. Elle nous a acheté un étendoir pour faire sécher nos vetements (laveuse fonctionne bien) au soleil :) Je recommande !

Shirley has a beautiful home. She is super responsive and helpful. A delight.Her home was great as well had everything we could need. The Kitchen very well stocked. Deck was so soothing and relaxing. Ryan and Madison were a lovely couple. We enjoyed getting to know them. They were happy to assist us with questions. They even went out and purchased a small dresser when we mentioned that there could be more drawer space! A beautiful family. We would happily stay in their place again!

I spent three days on the Sunshine Coast and stayed at this charming little Airbnb with my partner, and we were absolutely blown away. The place is super cute, cozy, and just a 10-minute drive from the ferry. Coralie is an incredibly kind and welcoming host who made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. It was such a relief to leave Vancouver behind for a bit and reconnect with nature. Being surrounded by forest with a view of the ocean was truly something special. The cabin is small, but thoughtfully designed and perfectly laid out, everything you need is right there. What really made the experience magical was the sound of the nearby river. It created the most peaceful atmosphere and helped me completely unwind and sleep like a baby. Highly recommend this little heaven, I’m already dreaming of coming back.

Had family come from Calgary, we stayed together. We all loved the place, beautiful suite, clean, quiet and lots of room for us. Beautiful surroundings and great staff 😊 Thank you for a great stay!!!!
