In the garden, six chickens walk in the enclosure and to the house and garden also belongs a very affectionate and social long-haired cat.

The area is scenic with beautiful hiking and biking routes.

Guesthouse Refshalegården

Enjoy a cozy vacation in the countryside – in a UNESCO biosphere reserve, close to the medieval town of Stege, near the water and surrounded by nature. We are a family consisting of a Danish-Japanese couple, two dogs, two cats, sheep, running ducks, and chickens. We care about ecology and sustainability, and love growing our own vegetables and herbs in the garden. "Farm to table" Breakfast (Japanese or Danish) can be ordered no later than 4 PM the day before. Breakfast is not included in the price and is paid on-site with either MobilePay or cash.

The well-appointed 50 m2, with up to 4 m to the ceiling, is perfect for a couple - but is also ideal for a family with 2-3 children. All year round, you can swim in the "Svenskerhullet" and Roneklint and the small fine island Maderne, which is owned by Nysø Castle. 10 km from Præstø. In addition, the landscape is created for beautiful walks and bike rides.

Birkely Bed & Breakfast is a charming newly renovated guest house of 38 sqm with a nice bathroom. The house is beautifully and cozily decorated with kitchen, dining table, large double bed and armchairs. There is direct access to a private terrace overlooking the field and forest. Our guest house is in a scenic location, close to the forest and only 3.5 km from Præstø Town and the harbor with its restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlors.
