We had a lovely time at Luca's place. The house has everything you need for a great rest. You can observe the few animals that roam freely in the garden. The pool is a big plus in the heat of Sri Lanka. The house is incredibly clean and the people who work there are very nice. Nimesh will help you with any questions you may have, you can contact them anytime. He took us to exchange money, showed us where the best places to dine were and arranged all the excursions for us. He also took care of our trip and picked us up from the airport. Throughout, we were able to enjoy the wonderful dinners prepared by Nirosha including an excellent seafood barbecue. The house is in a very good location: only a short walk to the beach and all the restaurants/shops. Feel free to book your stay in this house, it's a real little paradise.

We had a fantastic 10-day break at this beautiful villa. The setting is amazing, overlooking the infinity of the Indian Ocean, with the calming sound of the crashing waves. The sea was too rough for a swim but the beach was perfect for a walk. The garden is lovely, the pool is a welcome escape from the heat and the house itself is spacious enough for everyone not to be in each other's way. We had so much fun during our stay - massages in the garden, wandering the neighbourhood and meeting the locals, visiting nearby beaches (Dickwella beach was our favourite, especially with young kids), safari, releasing baby turtles in the sea, boat trips, etc.... Last but certainly not least - the lovely staff. The hospitality offered by Suneetha, Ajith and Ari was truly special. They are all lovely and looked after us so well. Apart from the delicious food they prepared daily, they arranged our trips, transport, etc. It was hard to leave and tears were shed at the end. We'll be back, for sure!

We had the most incredible stay with Ishu and her wonderful family! From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family—welcomed with open arms by Mum, Dad, Granddad, Grandma, and their lovely daughters. Traveling with a 1-year-old, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our little one was so well cared for, and the kids played together like lifelong friends. The house itself was spacious with a big garden that made our stay even more special. It’s just a short 5-minute walk to the beach, and having Mama’s Café around the corner was a fantastic bonus for great local food. Ishu also speaks excellent English, which made communication effortless. On top of everything, they arranged airport transfer and helped us get around with ease—such a thoughtful touch that made our trip stress-free. If you’re looking for a warm, welcoming stay with a true home-away-from-home feeling, look no further. We can’t wait to return! Bohoma sthuthi :)

The place is great. bed is comfortable, kitchen well equipped and very well located. a few minutes walk to the main beach and 15 minutes to Secret Beach. Prabodi is incredibly kind and helpful, and very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful spacious property in a fabulous location with a sea view to die for. We were a little concerned as not many reviews, but this is often let as 2 homes together. Alexander was swift to respond and communicate this to us. Sam was always responsive and Dinesh was always on hand to look after us. The dogs are very friendly and absolutely no trouble at all. We already love this area in Sri Lanka, and loved it even more staying here.

Isuru was a vey polite and responsive hosts. Very willing to assist you with any issues you may come across! We had a lovely breakfast cooked by his mom :) also having an Aircon was absolutely amazing in this humidity! Thank you Isuru for your hospitality

Shamil was responsive and helpful. We were in a bit of situation to find last minute accommodation. Shamil was helpful to enable the check in at 10pm. This was a huge relief for us. A great host!

We were two families (8 persons) who stayed at Kristen’s house. There was plenty of space, big bedrooms and living area. A beautiful garden and a nice big pool. The outdoor kitchen had everything we needed and a nice place to chill out at. Kristel had a very friendly and good chef who prepared delicious breakfast in the mornings. He also prepared a great dinner one evening with everything we wished for. Kristel and Werner were very helpful when we needed their help. We would love to come back again. Thank you so much!

We were 2 families (8 people). We booked the entire villa and had the most amazing time at Santi beach house. The property is right in front of the beach, has a private swimming pool, lots and lots of common spaces like living area and balconies. You can hear the waves breaking while lying on the bed and you can just dip your feet in the pool and watch the beach and ocean in front of you. There were 4 staff who were extremely courteous and made ensure that they were around whenever you needed anything from them and we felt very safe and well taken care of through our stay. There is a restaurant next door (5 steps from the villa beach gate) named Fujisan. Amazing food with all kinds of cuisine and was super convenient for us. The sandy beach is again like 5 steps from the property. The beach was friendly with mild waves and a gradual slope. That worked very well for the kids.

We really enjoyed it here. The communication before and during our stay was just perfect. Every question was answered directly and with very helpful advices. The villa is clean and spacious. The way up is a little bit difficult. But you will be right at a wonderful beach. And around the corner (10 minutes walk) you will find amazing restaurants. The kitchen was a little bit basic but okay. Some salt and herbs would have been nice. But everything else was just the way we hoped it would be. Thank you very much for everything! It was a great experience.

Pavi, Bathi and their family and friends are the loveliest of people, always ready to help or offer advice when needed. Our apartment was situated on the 2nd floor and was lovely, bedroom and bathroom bare very large as is the kitchen diner, if there was anything you needed Pavi got it sorted asap, the grounds are immaculate and have a plethora of wildlife wandering the grounds, the use of the swimming pool was a great addition. Polhena itself is situated in a great spot for travelling out from and has a wonderful little beach(it does get busy at weekends). Shops are in walking distance as is the main town of Matara or a short fun tuk tuk ride. Colombo and other places are easily accessible via buses or train, both a fun way to travel. We will be back.

A fantastic stay at The One led by the most wonderful staff who come daily to assist with the property and food. I will absolutely be returning and highly recommend!

Great value for money, ideal for family stays.

The accommodation was excellent, everything went smoothly and the people at check-in were super friendly. The house is really beautifully furnished and is in a great location. I would definitely book it again if I return.

This is not a luxury property but a wonderful typical Sri Lankan property. Close to a small beach with diving and snorkeling centres. Also Mirissa is only a short tuk tuk ride away with its larger beach and many restaurants. The host, Ranga, and his family did everything to make our stay wonderful. Thank you

5 min from the beach and up in the jungle, it’s the best place to stay if your looking for the calm. Breakfast and Yoga sessions were great. The staff very kind. I recommend 100%.

Ruwan is an extremely kind person who is very keen to ensure that you do not miss anything. The place looked exactly like the pictures. Everything was very clean. There was a fridge full of free water. Breakfast times were by arrangement, which we found very pleasant. Breakfast could have varied a bit more (it was the same every day). Ruwan organized transportation for us to the next accommodation at the Uber price. And the driver was very nice too. We took a trip to the turtles and to Galle together with Ruwan, which I had honestly imagined a little differently. I thought he was something like a tour guide who would also give us information, but he just drove us. I found the price to be a bit too high for that. But it was still very nice and a good idea. We do not regret spending 4 nights with Ruwan and can recommend it with a clear conscience. I'd love to go there again.

Lovely place in a great location. Slightly tricky to find for our driver but access is via another hotel entrance. There wasn’t any WiFi when we were there and in a bit of a signal black spot but still a great stay!

It was a pleasure to return home to such a nice house. One of the best I've stayed in.

Celine’s house was great for us. 6 persons (4 adults and 2 children 3 and 4 years old). + house exactly the same as on photos. + location is great. + almost private claim beach was good. + Christian and Indra are really great hosts. Please, read feedback from Helen (November 2016) "Myself, husband, two children ......." - it's still actual.

We had a wonderful stay at Sahan’s place - the location was perfect being a few minutes walk from Blue Beach on one side and Hiriketiya on the other with amazing restaurant/ seafood choices. Avisa was always on hand with great suggestions of what to do and he booked us lots of TukTuks and taxis, he was very helpful. He also served a great breakfast in the garden every morning. The only downside is that the living room part of the apartment became very hot, but the views to the sea from there were great.

The house is located in a quiet area not far from the nearby beach. It is very large with several bedrooms. Outside there is a large garden where you can relax or eat. The host who greeted us was very kind and helped us organize our tours on a lot of issues. He provided some valuable tips that were very useful to us, thank you very much. Although a large home needs some minor fixes. It wasn't clean and the kitchen was not well-maintained (leftover food in the fridge and outside). Overall, the house was very spacious and had everything we needed, although it was a pity that it was slightly neglected.

Wonderful stay and the property was amazing with access to the beach right outside the back gate. Couldn’t recommend enough!
