We had a great time here with our dog! Very clean and character filled space. Host is kind and takes care of the place. 20min walk through neighborhoods to get to restaurants near ore dock.

We had a wonderful stay in a peaceful and relaxing setting. The host was incredibly accommodating and helpful both before and during our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the surrounding area and made great use of the sauna. The location offered easy access to downtown, with scenic views on the drive into town. Overall, a nice place with good amenities. Well worth the trip.

This is an incredible place. Peaceful, with beautiful views of Lake Superior, and the feeling that you have a quiet space to yourself, but with plenty of restaurants, cafes and things to do within ten minutes. I hope to make it back here again!

What a lovely, peaceful lakeside retreat! We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The house was very clean and well appointed. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The views from outside and inside the home were amazing. Every morning was spent on the Adirondack chairs with a cup of coffee watching the sun rise on the lake. For the bird lovers, we saw a kingfisher, a bald eagle and a pileated woodpecker. For the hikers, it was a short drive to Pictured Rocks, Porcupine Mountains, and countless waterfalls. We were able to view the northern lights from Presque Isle, which is just a short distance from the house. Mark was a great host, and quick to provide any information we needed before and during the trip. We will definitely be back!

Everything we needed in a nice comfy home for ourselves and our dog. Never before have we felt our dog was as welcomed as we were! Lots of thoughtful amenities too. Fenced backyard was super.

This is the fourth time we've stayed at Dennis's, and it never disappoints. It's always extremely clean and well stocked. Dennis is a kind, helpful, and conscientious host. The peaceful atmosphere and walkable neighborhood are lovely, but you're still only a few minutes drive from anything you could possibly need. We love it there and will return soon! Super cute and cozy place to stay. Owners are very responsive. The place has a lot to offer to families: board games, fully stocked kitchen, fire pit, outdoor kids gym, books, and patio furniture with lights. The beach is so close and we swam. The town is quaint and the people are super friendly. Our kids liked using the playground at the school and hanging in the backyard. We took a day trip to Marquette and hiked Sugarloaf Mountain which was beautiful. Loved the space.

This place was great! Walking distance to downtown and all the restaurants and shops. Beautiful home with great decor. Wendy was super friendly! Even recommended some things for us to check out while we were there.

Great little spot for a jumping off point for more hiking in the area. Little bar offering pizza and drinks is right next door. Friendly people. Enjoyed the area and the quick stay. Place exceeded cleanliness expectations.

We loved our stay with Eugenia so much that we extended an extra night. The space is just a short drive outside Marquette and close to all things nature. Eugenia was super kind and responded quickly to our questions. Would definitely stay there again!

We had a great time at the rental. The hosts were more than accommodating for our family and the rental had everything we needed for our baby, high chair and toys galore! It made the trip easy and fun for everyone.

A great weekend get away! If you’re looking for secluded, off the grid, and QUIET, this is your spot. You will be surrounded by nothing but the woods and yourself here. The cabin it self was very clean. The wood stove heats it up FAST so be aware to not over do it. Over all 10/10 would recommend and stay again. Ps it can be a bit confusing getting there but as long as you follow your location using the satellite option on iPhones you can find the cabin on the satellite view and follow the roads easily that way.

barbie was a great host. Her and her husband live in the house about 100' away, so they are available for quick response if you need anything. the cabin was clean and comfy. the view of the lake was amazing and barbie had kayaks and a row boat available for us to use. unfortunately, it was a bit chilly out during our work stay and didn't get to use the lake. getting to the cabin....check your messages from barbie! I didn't and just used our GPS with the address and it tried to take us on a closed off 2 track, then to E. Johnson lake rd. we did end up finding it though. later I realized Barbie sent clear directions to get there. totally our fault for not checking her messages. we would definitely stay with barbie again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! The lake was breathtakingly beautiful and incredibly peaceful. Everything was very clean!

We stayed here for our 20th anniversary and it was the perfect place to just unwind and reconnect. Cell service was spotty, Verizon, which is exactly what we wanted but with their Wifi we were never out of reach of our children. The caretaker Renee did a phenomenal job getting the cabin ready for our stay. Both her and Cory were right there if we needed anything or had any questions. It rained half the time we were there, it's Michigan lol, but that covered and screened in gazebo was like magic. The sauna was perfect, great size, easy to get going and we really enjoyed it. I get hot fast but being able to chat with my Husband while he's still enjoying and I was in the changing are was wonderful! If you are looking for peace, this is the place. We're life long Michiganders so we can travel to waterfalls and such pretty much anytime so we stayed in the whole week and it was absolutely perfect. Thank you so much for the new memories we made. We cannot wait to go again with our dog 😁

We all enjoyed our stay the Little Red Retreat! We dug the retro decor, kitchen was perfect for what we needed, and the location was great. Neighbors were quiet and friendly. We loved being right on the lake and just a few minutes from town.

Everything was great! Had more amenities than listed. Cabin was well-kept, clean, and comfortable. We had a great time enjoying the view. It is a short distance to beaches and restaurants. Overall, we had an excellent experience.

Great place to stay, beautiful views and not too far from Marquette, even the views on the drive up were beautiful. Becky was very fast to respond, clear communication and made everything simple. She even checked in when it got cold outside to make sure we knew how to work the furnace to keep things warm.
