Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Malta

There is something magical about staying in the heart of Mdina!! And despite the impracticalities, we’d happily do it again!! This place is a real unique find!!!! We loved being able to walk around after the tourists had left and enjoy the magic of the place. It’s really ‘money can’t buy’ stuff. The property is exactly as described - not for you if you want luxury and all the modern conveniences - it’s quirky and a bit of an odd layout. It can also be a bit of a challenge with parking/traffic - we struggled one day and can’t imagine what it might be like in the height of summer. Would highly recommend coming up the back way to Greek’s Gate via Triq l-Għarreqin. I would say from 7am - 9pm it can be quite loud, but we were out and about so didn’t bother us. It may sound like we’re being negative, but we’re not… we just think this property deserves guests who appreciate it for what it is and don’t expect it to be something else. Le logement est super, très bien équipé, dans un quartier animé mais une rue paisible, à proximité des transports en commun et des commerces. Shaun est très réactif et à l’écoute. Idéal pour un séjour à Malte !

Malta ist immer einen Besuch Wert, aber Gozo hat die Position der ruhigen und grünen Seite der Inseln. Und inmitten des Herzens von Gozo in Viktoria befindet sich in einer ruhigen, zentralen Seitenstrasse im Stile eines 'house of character' das Apartment von Rowen. Wer dort einkehrt, wohnt nicht nur zur Miete, sondern lebt dort die Zeit, die er dort verbringt: grüßende Nachbarn, alle Annehmlichkeiten des täglichen Lebens sind in der Umgebung wie Restaurants, Eisdiele, Supermarkt (beste Austern!!), und vom Zentrum kommt man an jeden Punkt der Insel in weniger als 20 Minuten. Rowan ist ein perfekter Gastgeber, das Apartment ist 1A gepflegt, es fehlt an nichts incl. allem nötigen Beiwerk zum kochen wie Öl, Salz und Pfeffer. Das mag eine Kleinigkeit sein, aber es ist immer sehr unangenehm, wenn man diese Dinge erst selber für ein paar Tage einkaufen muss. Mein Tip: eine klare Empfehlung, einfach ausprobieren!

Gianluca was very responsive and answered all my queries. I felt very comfortable dealing with him. Allowed an earlier check in and a later checkout . I would highly recommend this place !

This place is absolutely stunning. So peaceful, both inside and out in the beautiful garden. Authentic & historic. The local village and area are very interesting to walk around - I recommend the Zebbug loop (if you don't mind a steep hill!) Very well stocked, even a bottle of prosecco was provided, beach towels, etc. Ana was very helpful, recommending local beaches and restaurants, and always responsive, kindly allowing me a late checkout on the last day. My one comment, as someone else has said, is it should be made clearer in the description that the place is all really one room, with no real separation between bedroom, kitchen and living room. This doesn't matter if you are 1 or 2, but may affect groups of 3 depending on their makeup, as there is no real privacy.

The place was in a cosy place, easy to find and easy to park location (at least late May - beginning on June when we visited). Clean, comfortable and cute apartment, with all listed amenities. We would definitely choose this place again for our stay. Also, David was very responsive and helpful with everything we needed (not only about the house itself).

This property is located in a fabulous position being so close to both the Gozo fast ferry and the boats to the 3 cities. Also lots of eating places close by and the upper barraka gardens 10 minutes walk away. Very clean, extremely cool inside, spacious. comfortable. Audrey was extremely responsive and helpful with a flexible checking which we appreciated. Overall we lived our stay here in Malta and would highly recommend this property.

Rowen was a fantastic host. He met us and went through the instructions showed us where everything was. The apartment is absolutely beautiful, so clean. The little pool was adequately heated, it’s too small to swim in, but lovely to chill and look at the lovely views. Unfortunately on our 1st day the builder next door decided to do some drilling at 7 am in the morning. For the inconvenience, Rowen did not charge us the €20 for the heating of the pool and the tax. Albeit we were there for two days To relax after being in Villetta for five days, it is what we needed. It’s not located near the beach (25-30mins walking) there are some supermarket right downstairs but we chose to take a 25 minute walk down into the town and have more options of restaurants. Bolt is really accessible so you don’t have to walk if you don’t need to. It does have a busy roundabout out front but your are pretty high up (4th floor) so it did not bother us.

We had the best time staying here during our first-ever visit to Malta! The local area is so vibrant and buzzing and Valletta is only a 20-minute walk or so down the road! The apartment itself (balcony and outdoor terrace downstaires included) are STUNNING and the decor is some of the best we've seen in an AirBnB! Thomas' recommendations were spot on and he was kind enough to give us a late check-out as we had a very late fly the day we were leaving. Honestly 10/10, would love to come back and stay here again! Thank you!

Great location. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. Ferry to Valletta and loads of tours all walkable. Apartment very comfortable for 4 adults both bedrooms en-suite. Fantastic views from balcony and having a hot tub was an added bonus. Jean-Pierre is an excellent host, very responsive and helpful. Lots of recommendations. Lovely welcoming basket of fresh fruit, pastries, water and sparkling wine!!

A lovely, comfortable apartment in an Old Townhouse with easy access to all Valletta has to offer. We also enjoyed access to the lounge and balcony on the floor above with views over city rooftops and the Mediterranean. The terrace also has impressive views of the Church Dome and Cathedral Spire to the rear. These landmarks dominate views of Valletta from the sea and are wonderful lit up at night. Michelle is a great host, fun to be around and her cats are the best behaved we have ever encountered. She is very discreet and respectful of your privacy. We would happily stay there again.

pictures don't do this place justice. You're right by the water, with amazing views all day and night. the location is so close to the beach, bars and restaurants. this place is really worth it, and a hidden gem!

We had a wonderful time at this apartment in Malta with beautiful views overlooking St. Paul's Bay. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Check-in was seamless and convenient using the key box system. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Such a great find, we loved the pool and hot tub! Rooms were clean and we pretty much had everything we needed. Location perfect for what we wanted and was easy to get about with Bolt. Local area not the prettiest but good selection of restaurants/bars and we had a an amazing time and can highly recommended

Lewis was amazing, considerate and attentive. Communication was immaculate and super supportive he’s the best Airbnb host I have had, the place was just as amazing as the apartment itself, definitely worth the price and much more.

The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, plus some lovely extras like fresh coffee and an ironing board. The washing machine’s 15-minute cycle was especially handy for a quick turnaround of clothes. The views from the apartment were extraordinary, both during the day and at night. We didn’t use any of the common areas of the apartment block and wouldn’t have used the pool, so we can’t comment on those. The apartment was ideal for our holiday. We had a car and spent our 10-day stay exploring Gozo and Malta with ease. We would happily stay again if the mattress is replaced—it was very, very uncomfortable. Aside from that it was a great stay. Thank you!

J'ai passé 3 semaines dans ce logement, parfait en tous points. Matthew est très réactif et prend soin de ses locataires. Il y avait de la nourriture et de l'eau pour débuter le séjour, c'est un geste très appréciable. Je recommande ce logement et si je reviens à Malte je sais déjà où je séjournerai ! Merci Matthew !

Jesteśmy starszą para i ta uprzejmość i empatia bardzo nas wzruszyła. Za co od serca dziękujemy. Bardzo łatwa komunikacja z gospodarzem. Miejsce łatwo znaleźć. Nieskazitelnie czyste wszystkie pomieszczenia. Zmiana ręczników, mycie okien po ulewnym deszczu ! Wszystkie urządzenia sprawne i zgodnie z opisem. Jest wszystko czego potrzebujesz do przygotowania posiłku. Piękna okolica do zwiedzania, dobre miejsce do spacerów, restauracje, bary i kioski. Komunikacyjne połączenie z miejscowościami Gozo bardzo dobre. Autobusy przy terminalu promowym 2-3 minuty. Autobus 301 do Viktori/ Rabat regularnie co dwadzieścia minut. Widok z balkonu! Widok na morze, port, wyspę Comino, Maltę. Niezapomniany spektakl, zwłaszcza kąpiące się konie. A przede wszystkim niezapomniani gospodarze. Dziękujemy. Grazyna i Teodor.

We loves the setting of the apartment and the balcony was the biggest plus overlooking the sea views. We enjoyed waking sitting having tea and coffee to start the day. The bed was comfortable and all the amenities we needed were available in the apartment. The air con in the bedroom was a god send. Such a great find in a great location.

Spacious and modern apartment, within walking distance to all the things to do and see in Valletta. There are a few steps to navigate as you enter the apartment but well communicated in the listing. Really enjoyed the convenience, we stayed for only a short trip but there was a washer included which is perfect for longer trips. Highly recommended!
