If you appreciate the tranquility, nature and lake life, this place is perfect. Lots of sun and fantastic views of the lake. In addition, a nice house, airy and harmoniously decorated. The only thing we were missing was a thermos, really a minor detail in the whole thing. We'll be back next year! Gösta and Sabrina

A very nice cottage in a cozy environment. Close to the lake where we swam and went out with the rowing boat. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. Katarina was a top host. Next time, we'll stay more nights. Dan, Anna and Myran 😀

IF it was possible to give this place and Irja 10 points. Would we give it. Sten, who is Irja's husband, is just as nice. Have stayed here several times and every time we go home, we long to return. We have been on excursions (there are brochures in the cottage) Hembygdsgården is a nice place to eat and have coffee. Love the cottage and the plot that goes down to the water. Own dock. Peace. Watch boats gliding by. Best of all is the hospitality. In a few weeks (July) we'll see each other again. // Jenny and Desi with dogs

We had an amazing time. It was the highlight of our Trip to Sweden. It helped that we had great weather, so we were able to take the boat out and sit at the dock. Many things to explore in the area. The sauna at the end of the day was great. Josef and Anne were very responsive and sweet. Definitely recommend, and we would very much like to return.

When we arrived, we were met by Lotten. She showed the accommodation. In the fridge there was lettuce, ham and cheese as well as Lotten's own-grown carrots and Pak Choi. Lotte had also baked bread that we enjoyed for breakfast. Super delicious. the last morning was sunny and then it was wonderful to sit outside and have breakfast. The lot's cultivation land and the birdsong gave a calm where we could have sat for many hours. The pulse went down at Vinkeltorp. Before departure, we were invited to this year's Konstrunda as Lotten is an artist. Fantastic paintings and sculptures. If you are looking for a peaceful accommodation with a long distance to shops and necessities, this is perfect. We thank Lotten and her husband Bosse for their welcome that made us feel at home. We had 3 nights in Kerstin's fantastic cozy lake cottage. Surrounded by water and the forest around the corner, we really twisted down these days. The fireplace cracked nicely in the evenings while we cleared mushrooms. We had everything we needed in amenities, also the small oak that took us out to the island straight across with its nicely located fire pit. There were a couple of perch and a pike. Kerstin was helpful and nice to deal with. 10 out of 10! We are more than happy to come back!

We’ve had an amazing stay with friends and toddlers. The house was perfect for cooking and social evenings. We had bad weather which means we did not enjoy the pool as we hoped to, but luckily we enjoyed the sauna with breathtaking views. Mikael was responsive and always helpful when we had questions. We stayed at this house for three nights with our families—8 adults and 4 kids—and had a wonderful experience. The house was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable group stay. The view was lovely, and we enjoyed spending time outside, especially using the small pool. While the pool didn’t have bubbling features, the temperature was moderate. Martin is very helpful and responsive, which made the stay even smoother. Overall, a great place for a family getaway!

Wow!! Incredible house in Sweden, only 35 minutes from Stockholm. We wish we could've stayed longer in Naomi's gorgeous house which has a pool, sauna, trampoline, many board games and beautiful views all around. Our family of five loved every minute of our time here. Naomi was incredibly kind and accommodating, and was always quick to help when we needed it. Thank you Naomi, we hope to return again soon!!

Beautiful house, in a fabulous location. When we arrived, the house was all lit up with Christmas lights - it felt really cosy, warm and inviting. Jani was there to meet us when we got there to show us around the house and the facilities (hot tub and saunas). As we were there for Christmas, we were delighted to see the kitchen had all the pots and pans needed, plus loads of serving dishes. It was perfect! It’s a beautiful house, and one which we look forward to visiting in the summer some year to make use of the swimming pool.

Me and my partner had the most wonderful stay at Stina’s cabin. The setting was stunning, even more beautiful than we expected! The cabin had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing three days on the island. We had a lovely time rowing the boat to Vindalsö, having saunas and quick dips in the sea, and a barbecue. We took the ferry to Sandhamn for the day- highly recommend for gorgeous beaches and picturesque houses. Stina was really friendly and helpful and also let us do our own thing. An ideal island retreat!

We spent a relaxing week in Pia's house and enjoyed the tranquility and the great, large and well-kept garden. There were several seating areas, some overlooking the lake. We especially liked the lake access with private jetty and sauna. There was even the possibility of using a rowboat. Pia was always available to us. The place was easy to find and check-in was flexible and straightforward. The house was equipped with everything necessary, very clean and cozy. The proximity to Stockholm was also great. There were regular train connections from Gnesta. It was 40 minutes away. We can definitely recommend the place!

It was just great!!! We were in Victoria's house the first week of June, had 3 wonderful sunsets out of 6 nights. The landlady lived next door, we were allowed to use the private jetty. There was not much going on in the village in our time (only on weekends a café was open), but it was wonderfully quiet. Supermarket and pizzeria were open, but in Södersvik there is a great bakery. Modern and thoughtful amenities in the cottage, even an umbrella was available. WiFi worked great, the large window was a dream. We spent a day in Stockholm. The landlady gave us the tip to park in the free commuter parking lot in the south of Norrtälje. From there, a bus runs every 20 minutes directly to Stockholm. Payable on the bus, was great👌🏻 Clear recommendation!

The best AirBNB stay I have ever had! Hard to express how beautiful and perfect Katarina’s cottage is. Easy to navigate without a car, ferry from Stockholm drops off and picks you up just a few hundred feet from the cottage. Well-stocked grocery store is a short 5-10 min bike ride away. Lots of amenities at the cottage, we were able to use the row boat and kayak, the hot tub was perfect at night and even made some wood fired pizza with the pizza oven. On a sunny day, just sitting on the deck or the living room with the glass doors open can’t be beat! On the island, in early June, there was a Padel court and miniature golf course serving some delicious burgers and some other restaurants we did not visit, as they aren’t always necessary with the kitchen at the cottage. Katarina is also a very friendly and responsive host, promptly answering any questions we had. We stayed three nights, but wish we would have stayed more!

We received a warm welcome when we arrived. The house was in great condition and everything was clean and tidy. We wanted to borrow a boat and Staffan solved it right away. Calm and peaceful surroundings and perfect to bring the dog. We will definitely go back. Thank you for letting us borrow your lovely house, Staffan! +++++

We found a really beautiful house surrounded by nature and right by the sea! The location is especially great. And the decor was super tasteful, the kitchen well equipped. It was positive to note that the family also uses the house for themselves. We would love to come back ;-)
