The space
One-eighty-degree views stretch beyond a 60-square-meter pool at this traditional villa perched atop Jimbaran Hill. The verdant Bali countryside unfurls in front of an open-sided living area designed by prominent Indonesian architect Popo Danes and overseen by a full staff. Do laps in your own pool or make the 10-minute drive to swim, surf, and dine on seafood at Jimbaran Beach.

 

During your holiday at The Longhouse, a chef, butler, and housekeeper will pamper you, and you’ll have private access to boutique-hotel-worthy amenities from an infinity pool and yoga area to a barbecue and al-fresco wet bar. This luxury property also features a home gym and spa area, plus a smart TV, surround-sound system, and Wi-Fi.

 

The living areas at this vacation rental are set in an open-sided pavilion with a traditional alang-alang roof. Reconnect with friends and family around a dining table for 14, or catch up on reading in one of the quiet lounge areas. Though chef service is included in your stay, the villa does have a fully equipped kitchen.

 

The Longhouse has 3 bedrooms with king beds, including one that feels like a honeymoon suite with its al-fresco shower and plunge pool. There are also 2 bedrooms with 2 twin beds each, and one bedroom with a queen bed. All 6 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

 

The villa’s location in the Kuta Selatan area gives you a taste of the real Bali. The closest town is Jimbaran, a 10-minute drive away, where you can spend a day on the white-sand beach, browse for the perfect souvenir in the shops, or join the locals in one of the many celebrations that still take place at the temple in front of the town’s market. For more restaurant options or a night out on the town, it’s a 30-minute drive to Seminyak.
