Next to the station of Racour is the cottage of the piocheurs or railway workers. Previously, railway workers used this “barracks” to store their materials, eat their sandwiches, or even sleep. The classified building of 3 meters by 3 meters was completely rebuilt in 2015 in timber frame and masonry. It is now furnished as a comfortable hiker's cabin for 2 people. Dimitri was very helpful with lots of messages and information about how to get into the property, find the key and work the lights etc. The property was quirky, warm and beds were comfortable. Dimitri responded straight away to my questions while we were there, and really flexible about check out time. There is only one bathroom in the property which for 5 adults getting ready to go to a wedding was a bit tricky. Great stay and just what we needed otherwise.

It was another great weekend. We enjoyed the sauna and the alpacas. For the grandchildren, it's always a dream vacation. The house feels like coming home.

During our dance weekend, we were able to unwind in this room. The room is completely as you can see in the pictures. I found the sofa bed a little less comfortable myself. For the rest, this was a great place: a good, clean shower, a table with 2 chairs, plates and cutlery, tea, coffee, a fridge, microwave. Everything you need. We were also surprised with a nice attention on Easter! Bert and Annemie are very friendly people! Highly recommended!
