We had a great stay at Casa Isabel for three nights. Maria and Bernard were very helpful and responsive hosts. There is a lovely view of the sea from the apartment, a small pool and a friendly dog Gitana! Le Morne beach is one of the loveliest places in Mauritius so we felt lucky to stay so close to it. The peaceful surroundings also make it a delight for stargazing/birdwatching. The place is a self contained unit and beautifully set up. The well stocked kitchen has lots of utensils and a stove, microwave and fridge, so it's easy to fix yourself meals if you feel like it. You should probably have a car to stay here though, since there aren't too many restaurants around and the closest supermarket is in the next town, La Gaulette. The closest public beach, Le Morne public beach is also not a comfortable walking distance as the beach you can see from the window is a private beach for the five star hotels close by. Also, bring your own shower gel/soap, only hand soap is provided here.

This house has no flaws, it really belongs to the luxury category. It is modern, cosy. There is a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, each bedroom has its own shower and toilet and air conditioning. Everything in the house is well thought out, despite the proximity of nature,there are no insects in the house, everything is very clean. Cleaning of the house and pool is included in the price. A large modern kitchen with everything you need (and more), a large TV with access to all services, and the jewel of the house - the roof with stunning views. The owner of the house, Gilbert, is a very nice person, always on call, met us personally and showed us around. He organised a tour to the dolphins and even prepared a small gift, which was very nice. We felt like we were visiting a good old friend. There are some good restaurants, a supermarket and Le Morne beach close to the house, I liked it the best on the west coast of Mauritius. We definitely recommend this house and its professional owner Gilbert!

We had a wonderful time! The apartment is perfect for a few days in the south of Mauritius! It has everything you need and we felt very comfortable. Only the street was a bit noisy but you get used to it. I would stay here again anytime.

We had a very nice time at Le Cabanon. It is a unique cottage, in a quiet and secluded location, walking distance from a beautiful beach and with great views (of Le Morne, among others). We loved the "natural" of this place. The outdoor kitchen and the outdoor shower were unique. In the evening, showering in moonlight had something magical. You have to be able to accept that it really is a nature cottage, with the necessary animals now and then. At night we were sometimes surprised by a balking deer or treated to a frog concert and through the cracks in the cottage mosquitoes and geckos sometimes entered the cottage. But the air conditioning and fans helped with that. All in all, a special and pleasant stay! We had booked 5 days and added a few more days because it was so good. The cleaning ladies come every day and even did our dishes when we forgot to do them💕💕 Thank you for everything Dominique! See you next time😊
