Guests at this cozy, uniquely decorated 1950's home have a private living room with TV, bathroom, and small bedroom on first floor with large bedroom on second floor with TV. Each bedroom has a desk. There is a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee pot. Coffee, tea, fruit, OJ, milk, cereal, bread for toast, butter and jam are supplied. My location is close to lovely parks (beautiful Roland park a 3 minute walk) antique shops, Amish country and lovely Lancaster city.
“We stayed at Eileen's for a family wedding that was nearby. To be honest, the last AirBnb experience we had turned us off a bit, and we almost did not go this route this time. However, we ended up very happy that we tried again. It was just the two of us staying so things worked out very well. Plenty of space, little kitchenette that was stocked with breakfast foods (which we enjoyed all 3 mornings we were there) and there is also a front porch where you can sit and relax if you wish. There is a street at the end of the block that has fast food and other stores, so that is convenient as well if you have a need. We did not get to check out the park that is just down the block, but it looked like a nice place to spend time weather permitting. Eileen also came to the rescue when I needed a safety pin for my dress :-). We would definitely stay here again if we get back to that area.”
Yes. We are open. We are following all state and AirBnB standards for cleaning and sanitizing. Entrance directly to the cottage that is alongside an 1800s Stone Farmhouse on 11 acres with meadow, woods, walking trail, pond, & creek along Conestoga River. 10mins to downtown, 15min to outlets and Sight Sound Theatre, EZ access to tourist centers. Less than 10 mins to Millersville Univ. Quiet surroundings away from traffic. Outdoor deck use.
“It may be a little cottage, but it’s big in experience. It’s exceptionally clean, refinished, has all the amenities you’ll need, but the size and beauty of the property are what makes it so special. It’s in the middle of a neighborhood, but the moment you walk to the back where the cottage sits, you’ll feel like you’re smack in the middle of the PA wilderness. There’s a trail down the rolling hill which leads to a rambling river. There is wildlife and butterflies and a wonderful little spring house with Natural spring running through it. There is a lot of history behind this gem of property and the house that sits on it. We enjoyed our little tour when we arrived from Diana. She was lovely and warm and gave us a little run down on the property and where we could explore. We were also greeted by, Artemis, their friendly chocolate lab. She sat with us in the morning while we took in the morning sun. It was a very nice experience. If we plan another trip to the Lancaster area, we’ll be sure to come back. Just a special little clean cozy cottage ... and a lovely host. Couldn’t ask for more.”
My place is close to downtown Lancaster City, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, nightlife. The guest suite has it's own set of keys and two private entrances. A balcony area give you a sunny place to sit outside and have your morning coffee, drinks or any meal. Your host loves this town and lives on the first floor of the building so feel free to pop in and say hello. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
“My husband and I were in Lancaster for a weekend getaway and wanted an Airbnb that offered the balance of venturing out and staying in. From the artwork and decor to the special attention to detail, Andrea’s place was perfect and felt incredibly homey. We had our own, but Andrea had masks and hand sanitizer on the table when we walked in. The tiny kitchen nook had most everything you might need. The outdoor balcony is perfect for having a meal or enjoying your breakfast coffee. We even took advantage of the games and played a few rounds of Scrabble. Andrea is an environmentalist and had bins for composting and recycling. Her garden was beautiful and the peach trees smelled amazing. The location is perfect for exploring Lancaster on foot. Then Central Market is in walking distance and worth checking out. You can even bring back a few items for the fridge. Also a few short blocks away you can find the Queen Street shops, art galleries, restaurants, and Lancaster Brewing Co. We highly recommend Rachel’s Cafe and Creperie and Commonwealth on Queen. Andrea and Marlin were incredibly friendly and super responsive They even offered a late checkout since no one was scheduled to come after us. Once confirmed Andrea provided a long list of local places to check out, everything from restaurants to hiking and more. We highly recommend and would stay here again next time we’re in Lancaster.”
