Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Lake Huron

main pros: right next to highway. well maintained property. hot running water,wifi, kitchen,etc.. everything is just like home. kayak, firepit , bbq. main con: not isolated enough, if you are looking for such isolation experience.

Jereme’s place was very clean and had a lot of character. Every space in the home was very comfortable. The distance to the Bay City State Park and downtown was perfect. Once you step in the A Frame, you feel like you’ve left the city. Great place! Great host!

The A Frame getaway Nordic Spa really delivered. It’s a cozy interior and a beautiful spa oasis outside. Everything was decorated with purpose and the space felt very relaxing. We spent a few hours cycling through hot and cold in the sauna/hottub and cold tub. The only downside to the space is the small semi updated single bathroom. Wasn’t a huge concern for us, but I don’t remember any pictures of it and it’s certainly not the focal point of the space or why you should stay here. Overall, the space provided an amazing opportunity to relax, unwind, and refresh. Thanks for sharing your space with us!

Beautiful space and super responsive & accommodating hosts! The place looks exactly like the photos and was a really nice space to spend the week. The only thing I wish we knew ahead of time was that the neighbours are pretty close on all 3 sides so it does impact the privacy of the backyard at times!

We had an amazing stay at Jane and Steve’s place! They were very warm and were always accommodating and ensuring our stay was going well. Jane even ensured we got to our trail start and end one day. Everything about the “loft” was comfortable, the banana bread was amazing and it felt like we were visiting old friends. Thanks so much for helping to make a rainy cold weekend enjoyable!

We had a great stay at Tracy's cottage. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Being pet friendly was a huge bonus for us. Kitchen was well stocked with lots of spices and condiments. The beach is lovely and peaceful. . Tracy gave us some great recommendations of places to visit nearby which we enjoyed. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Stayed only for one night and really wished we booked it for longer, really nice clean place with beautiful views and a beautiful backyard. Definitely worth it!!!!

Lisa was a wonderful host and even met us at the door when we arrived to make sure that we were settled in okay and knew how everything worked. She checked in throughout the stay just to make sure everything was okay which I appreciated. I would gladly stay here again as it was the perfect location for when we come to visit Lapeer. I enjoyed a peaceful 2 weeks at this beautiful Airbnb! The setting is surreal surrounded by nature and a river! I had everything I needed and I enjoyed a few nights with a cozy fire in the wood stove. The bed and couches were very comfortable. The No Frills in Shelburne was a great grocery store nearby. Wendy was always very responsive and helpful. As clearly noted in the description, there is no cell service but not a big deal as there is wifi. I hope to be back again one day! A true gem!

We had a fantastic stay at Sarah's place. The surroundings were very peaceful and private, yet conveniently close to all amenities. We were in the area for a fastball tournament, and this accommodation was a much nicer option than a hotel or motel. We utilized the kitchen to prepare our breakfasts and dinners instead of eating out, and the living room was a comfortable space for us to relax in during the evenings. The bedroom was spacious, and the bed and linens were extremely comfortable. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family. Thank you for a great stay!

Heather's place was easily accessible. The listing had everything I needed for a lovely weekend at Walloon Lake. It was also very walkable to the waterfront and other things in the town, such as restaurants and the General Store. Great place to stay!

My hubby and I wanted to get away for a couple nights because it was our anniversary and this place did not disappoint. It was quiet, clean, close to a couple towns for shopping, close restaurants that were excellent service and delicious food as well as a river that was <5 minute walk that you could watch the sunset at. We would definitely go again. Hosts were great and very easy to contact.

We had a wonderful stay at Charlene’s! The apartment was carefully put together and had everything we would need or want; we felt right at home. The hot tub was a lovely feature and Charlene’s breakfast was excellent. We can’t wait to come back!

We loved our girls weekend stay at the Kimberley Creek Cabin. We instantly felt peaceful and at home in the space. The sound of the creek and landscape let us feel immersed in nature and the entrance to the Bruce Trail is very easy to find directly from the cabin. Karen met us with a fresh loaf of sourdough which we enjoyed during our stay and showed us everything we needed to know, including recommendations for areas to explore during our stay and the routes to take with beautiful scenery. We were very happy to take her advice and had some fun adventures in surrounding towns we may not have otherwise visited. Karen and her husband Steve helped make our stay very comfortable, offering firewood for a bonfire and making sure to be available for anything we needed. Something to note is that the stairs up to the loft area are half stairs and half ladder which was a little scary but there's a lovely main floor bedroom with a very comfortable bed if the stairs are too challenging.

The property is absolutely beautiful. Me and my girlfriend and her dog had stayed the weekend there and decided to book an extra day because it was so nice and peaceful. Margo was very kind and made herself available if we needed help. Would love to come back here again!

It was truly an amazing experience. I will definitely be back when I need to get away from the city. Everything looked just like the pictures and the horses made the whole getaway beyond unique. My new favorite destination! Highly recommend!!

Spent a lovely long weekend at this cozy cabin! The property is beautiful and full of areas to explore, Neil is an incredibly friendly and engaged host, and Luna is the sweetest furry co-host. Perfect location for a peaceful and rustic stay!

This is our second time staying at the cabin with our two dogs and we came back because our first experience was so great and we're glad we did! The cabin is right on the water and very private and has everything you need to feel comfortable and right at home. The fenced in area for the dogs in the backyard is perfect and the proximity to trails can't be beat.

Loved staying at the Little Bear Cabin. Peaceful , private. The kitchen has pretty much all the essentials to cook some great campfire food. comfortable bed, wall mounted tv for those cozy rainy days a big plus. Wifi worked great! The whole cabin looks like its taken care of really well. Would definitely go back!

Waking up to the large window overlooking the beach in the morning is our favourite memory. It was like it was straight out of a movie. It was such a nice home, and it had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Josie was very responsive and friendly.

Fernside is an adorable place to stay with many extra special and thoughtful additions to make guests feel at home. We loved just relaxing and watching the river. It was a little cold and rainy during our stay so it was an absolute treat to use the beautiful new sauna overlooking the river and green space. We would recommend staying and plan to return!
