This is a guest house in a 120-year-old house that was renovated with the concept of "nostalgic and new" in a town of Omi Hino merchants overlooking Mt. Mimaki in the Suzuka Mountains of Shiga Prefecture. Hino-cho's townscape is also nostalgic and heartwarming, In the corner of such a town, "Mt. Moiwa Village" was born in the first year of the Reiwa Dynasty. The accommodation is limited to one group. Storage site: The Western-style room can be used by 3 people, with 2 beds and 1 folding bed, and the Japanese-style room can accommodate 3 people with Japanese futons, for a total of up to 6 people. It features a Shigaraki stoneware bathtub (120 cm diameter) that only guests can use, where you can bathe with your family and children. The furniture is all "Calimok" furniture from the Hida industry, made from the Taisho to the early Showa period. I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.

We have a Canadian house, just a stone through away from the beautiful Lake Biwa. Suitable place to stay for family trip, with friends and work trip. For 7guests or less, we rent 3 bed rooms (with 8 beds) For 8guests or more, we can rent the extra cabin space which is still part of the building but usually there is no access.(5 bed rooms and an attic, 12 beds and extra bathroom) please see photos and enquire within. - No Party - No BBQ after 9pm
