Villa Lucid

WillemRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We (family of four with young kids) came across this house and loved it, but it didn’t have a bed for our one year old daughter, so we sent Vic a message and he went out of his way to find one. Great start! When we got there, the house was even better than the pictures give away: private villa on the quiet outskirts of Ahangama, but a five minute tuk tuk ride will get you to the town’s centre where all the restaurants and such are. Modern bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, nice kitchen and living room, beautiful pool, huge patio with a roof over it, monkeys in the trees in the morning etc. etc. I contacted Vic several times during our stay and always got quick replies with great advice - places to eat, tuk tuk drivers, surf coach and places to see. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again myself some day!

Quantum Villa Weligambay

IgaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What a great place to stay! The villa has many rare amenities, kitchen, washing machine, iron, sink, hair dryer, laundry dryer. Two desks is something no one has in this area! Most hosts assume only one desk, but we are a couple working remotely, so we needed two. The ergonomic chairs are a huge advantage, we've never had such good chairs when working away from home, we felt like we were in our home office with them. We moved the desks to one of the bedrooms and it was a breakthrough, one bedroom for us and the other bedroom as an office, both with air conditioning. The place was very clean. The scooter included is a huge added value, we used it a lot and can't imagine life without a scooter. Pinidu and his mom are wonderful! They have helped us so many times and have always been very kind, responsive, supportive. They are amazing people and we will miss them. Pinidu also treated us to a variety of fruits and regional foods, told us a lot about Sri Lanka, showed us temples.Recommended!

Ruwan Jungle Homestay

MayankRating, 5 stars4 months ago
I recently had the pleasure of staying at an Airbnb hosted by Ruwan, and it was a delightful experience. Ruwan was an extremely warm and welcoming host, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to both the beach and Coconut Tree Hill. The lush green property felt almost like staying in a forest, offering a serene environment. The breakfast provided was very good, with a variety of delicious options. The room was a bit small, but it didn't affect our comfort during the stay. Additionally, Ruwan offers to help plan activities in and around Mirissa, which could add a lot of value to your trip. Despite the minor detail about the room size, the stay had its positive aspects, particularly Ruwan's hospitality, the excellent breakfast, and the beautiful surroundings. This Airbnb is a great choice for travelers looking for a welcoming host and a beautiful location.

Peaceful & modern 4 bedroom villa 2 min from beach

OlgaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We spent a whole month in this house and were delighted! Spacious, cozy, with a lovely chill area by the river where you can relax and enjoy nature. I especially liked the rooftop – the perfect place to do yoga. The kitchen is fully equipped, so it was convenient to cook. The beds in the bedrooms are comfortable, slept great. The beach is only a 5-7 minute walk and the surf spot in Weligama is about 25 minutes away. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we are grateful to the hosts for their hospitality!

Thank you so much for your hospitality! The place was really cozy and nice, we loved the balcony surrounded by blooming trees. The hosts were incredible - friendly, responsive. For example, we wanted ab extra key and a fan for the balcony - all of our requests were completely satisfied. It was always clean and neat - cleaning every week with a change of bed linen. The place is close to the main beaches, bus stop and everything you light need. Yard is blooming and big enough for parking 4-5 bikes

Stella Beach House was the perfect getaway for my family and me. The location is absolutely stunning, with an array of excellent restaurants nearby. The house itself was impeccably clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing pool. From the very beginning to the end of our stay, Amit, Chaminda, and their team were incredibly helpful with everything we needed. They prepared delicious meals for us almost every day, which truly enhanced our experience. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Stella Beach Villas to anyone planning a vacation in Sri Lanka. Excellent Staff! Very well maintained premises, neat and clean but the highlight has to be the staff. The host was very prompt and helpful, prior to and throughout the stay. A little out of the way and secluded. Not much to do around the property, but that's why we loved it. Better with your own vehicle for transport. Pls do get the staff to prepare your meals, the best food we had on our trip to SL. Would definitely stay at pineapple Villa on my next trip to SL. Thank you Tushari, Hema and Randini.

Kalahe House

YvonneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Surrounded by wildlife—peacocks in the trees, monkeys, chipmunks, countless birds, and even a monitor lizard that occasionally visited the pool. Nalake and Chandana were exceptional hosts, caring for us with genuine warmth—especially when we unexpectedly fell ill. Just a 10-minute tuk-tuk from beaches and restaurants, the villa offers a peaceful escape that still feels connected. The sounds of everyday life—children playing, distant construction, a nighttime chorus of dogs—add to its charm, while nature weaves in with bursts of birdsong and the low rumble of distant thunder, making it the perfect place to rest and recharge.

The Mugatiya: Ahangama's Heritage Luxury Villa

NickRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The Mugatiya is a very special place. We stayed with family friends for a week and had the holiday of a lifetime. Ahangama is a chilled place with some very cool bars and restaurants here and there. I wouldn't say that the beach is walkable due to kids and the heat but tuktuks are easily arranged.

Our stay at Villa Ema was fantastic. The villa is beautifully designed, spacious, and very easy to find. It offers complete privacy and a peaceful atmosphere, making it the perfect retreat. Communication with them was effortless and clear throughout our stay. Each room is thoughtfully designed with air conditioning, attached bathrooms, and very comfortable beds. The quality of the fittings and the overall architecture of the villa is exceptional. Everything was immaculately clean and well maintained. We truly appreciated their hospitality and the effort they made to accommodate us. Our experience at Villa Ema was outstanding, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Galle area.

We stayed at Kasun's villa for two days and had a wonderful experience. The villa was well-maintained and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable long stay. On the day of our checkout, which happened to be a Poya day when nearby restaurants were closed, Kasun's father provided us with breakfast — a thoughtful gesture we truly appreciated. We will definitely visit again when we’re in Weligama.

The Koggale Hideaway

ChristinRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We really loved our stay at Monika‘s guesthouse. The one-bedroom house is situated right at Koggala Lake, so we were surrounded by pure nature and the sounds of the jungle. The location is very peaceful. There is a joint restaurant closeby but still the house feels quite private. The house provides everything you need: bed linen, TV, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, enclosed bathroom and a washing machine. However if you need anything, the staff is very helpful. It‘s the perfect place if you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the town and love to stay in nature in a calm environment. We would have loved to stay longer. We definitely can recommend it and are looking forward to coming back here.

Sunsara Villa - Family resort

HelenRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The house is amazing, the photos don't do it justice. It is far bigger than it looked in the pictures. The manager Manoji is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He cooked us a delicious breakfast every morning and he also did us a dinner one night which was the nicest meal we'd eaten in Sri Lanka, and the cost was very reasonable. He was always on hand if we needed anything. There's also a night watchman that stays in the grounds every night. It's about a 20 minute walk to the beach and the main road. The road to the house is quite narrow so be warned if you have a wide car!

Luxury Villa - Hikkaduwa - AC Rooms- Villa Vintage

BriantRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Villa Vintage is a beautiful authentic home away from home. Although it is big enough for a family, the two of us had a really nice time here. Great place to work and to relax at the same time. The villa is secluded in the green and lush hinterland of Hikkaduwa. Away from all the city noise but at the same time it is very close by and walkable to the heart of Hikkaduwa. We can not recommend this villa enough. Prabhath & Brig Himal are excellent hosts who will do anything to make you feel at home. Easy communication throughout our stay.
