Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Kilifi Creek

My stay in Watamu, with my two friends, was very lovely. Yasmin, Antonio, and Mary made our stay very comfortable with their warm personalities and responsiveness to any queries we had throughout our visit. This was much appreciated when we needed assistance with things in the house. The open plan feel of the apartment with the strong breeze was something of a lifeline in the heat by the Indian Ocean and the effective A/C in all bedrooms was a blessing. The pool was clean and also very quiet which made mornings and evenings very peaceful to swim. The apartment is very well located and is just 5minutes, if that, to Watamu beach and also positioned close to the bank and nearby shops. I will be staying here again if and when I am on the coast, Gus (UK 23-29/08/24)

A beautiful place. Had wonderful time with my family. The place was clean and spacious. Zawadi the caretaker was lovely. Would recommend this place. Perfect for family.

Joanna’s place was amazing. My daughter with 6 friends went there and Joanna was very supportive and welcoming. The house is large, breezy, in great conditions, with large en suite rooms. The girls had a cook who helped prepare breakfast and dinner for a very reasonable prize , the pool was cleaned daily and the place was excellent for groups of families or friends. I would highly recommend and we will definitely go back !

WOW!! What a fabulous trip had by all!! 8 adults and 1 baby stayed for 10 nights at Shuma house. We had an incredible trip. Shuma is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful, you really feel at one with nature here!. Shuma house itself is stunning, plenty of space for everyone, all the rooms are quirky, spacious and full of personality. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating, and all work incredibly hard to ensure we are well fed and looked after. Martin, Shumas chef cooked us the most delicious meals night after night! Lots of choice and flexibility with meal choices/timings/allergies etc. Robert was amazing and tended to our every need, especially our daughter Elkies needs! Thank you all so much for making our trip to Shuma House absolutely fabulous! It was an emotional goodbye, but it certainly wont be the last!! We will be back!! Thank you! 🤩

This is a wonderful home and we had a fabulous time. We came as 2 families of 4 (from London) + grandparents (from Nairobi) - so 10 of us in total. The house is beautiful - very charming and comfortable - and spills out onto the beach (via a private gated entrance). The kids loved playing in the small private pool and having daily walks out onto the reef in low-tide. The stretch of coastline the house is on is idyllic - about 20 min drive from Watamu town. The chef and staff are very attentive. We're all vegetarian and they handled that pretty well (though naturally they're more accustomed to a meat/seafood menu). As a family/group holiday venue, this is highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Kevin's place. Kevin is a great host, replies in minutes and makes sure any issue that might occur is solved quickly. the apartment is very nice and cool thanks to the AC and fans. the pool was also a very nice extra touch! all in all, we would definitely recommend this place.

Great place in a beautiful location with beautiful views of the neighbourhood. The host was very responsive incase of anything and made my stay even more enjoyable. My family and I will surely be back.

Susan’s place is a true gem. The beds were comfortable, always hot water and power, well equipped kitchen and a gorgeous pool and patio. Even niceties I dint expect like security cameras, house cleaning and a quality washing machine. You have all you need to live there autonomously. Next door is a great pizza place w vegan pizza and cocktails! Notes for families: the beach that is directly outside of Susan’s compound is not family friendly nor good for swimming (trash and khat chewers). But the cleaner swim able beach is just a 8 min Tuk Tuk ride away. Worth the distance to have such a gorgeous condo! The pool was shallow enough for my 5 yo to stand w her head above water but a short child or a younger child couldn’t stand. There is no “kiddie pool”

Nous recherchions une immersion au Kenya et nous avons choisi cette grande villa isolée située à Likoni pour l’absence de touristes et son extraordinaire vue sur le lagon et shelly beach . Nous nous y sommes sentis très bien. Josephat , Leaky et Timoth ont veillés à l’entretien de la maison et nous avons engagé le chef cuisinier Daniels pour préparer certains repas . Si vous souhaitez vous deplacer au restaurant, en safari , dans une boutique ou allez à la plage , il vous faudra un vehicule ou appeler un tuk-tuk mais si vous souhaitez vous reposer, la grande piscine et sa vue extraordinaire participeront à vos vacances tres reussies. Il y a des moustiquaires et de l’air conditionné dans toutes les chambres.

We liked our stay very much! Very big place for ourselves with kind staff. Efrat also knows many contacts to make the stay more comfortable (drivers, chefs etc.) The private chef was a new and very affordable experience which we enjoyed very much.

Time slows down as you recline on the cushions, a frosty drink in hand, your face cooled by the breeze. Looking out over Takaungu bay, the flippers of the fishermen bobbing up and down in the waves, dhows outlining the horizon, the kids distracted in the pool, gives you the space to let go of your city worries and let the serenity wash over you like the waves of a calm mid-month ocean tide. Thank you Charlie and Philip and the amazing team for taking such good care of us. Christine's lemon cake will not be soon forgotten! We will be back!

Really enjoyed my stay. Gianni was very clear in his instructions and everything was set up just as we had asked for. Kashuru, the groundskeeper, is a great guy and very friendly. I also recommend you use Morris the Chef. An extra 1500 Kshs/day but his food is delicious and you can easily get groceries.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jackline's place in Kilifi! Both Jackline and Eric were incredibly responsive, with Eric going above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Communication was seamless, and any needs or requests were promptly addressed. The location is tucked away off a main road in Kilifi, providing a quiet and peaceful environment. While Google Maps struggled with the exact directions, Eric's clear instructions made finding the place easy. He even assisted with arranging transportation when needed, which was a huge help. The house, located within a shared compound, was clean, functional, and well-equipped with everything we needed during our stay. It offered a cozy and convenient base for exploring Kilifi. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would absolutely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Kilifi. Highly recommended!

Fabulous little important, in a peaceful area close to the beach. Adhiambo was an incredible host too, always easily contactable and flexible. Charming place to stay in Kilifi. Only (small) issue was with apartment wifi. I went to Kilifi for a four week work trip and the internet was not great for calls so had to hotspot from my phone a lot. OK in general (emails/browsing) but not strong enough for calls. But there is some excellent places/cafes near by with good internet coverage. And when there were a few power cuts Adhiambo was incredibly helpful and responsive with updates.

Thank you to my kind host who helped me call tuk-tuk and motorcycle drivers to get around. Clean place, good for 1–2 people. Laundry service available for a fee.

We recently stayed at this Airbnb and overall had a pleasant experience. The town house was clean, well-equipped, and exactly as described in the listing. The location is far from the airport and train station as it is in Kikambala but next to beautiful white sandy beach. We, however did encounter a hassle with the check-in process. Despite this minor inconvenience, which was amicably resolved, the stay was enjoyable, and the host was responsive and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place for its comfort and location next to the beach

We just loved this place and thought it it even more beautiful than on the images. The tasteful house offers a spectacular view directly onto the ocean. The architecture is beautiful and everything works well. The place is located in a very safe and luxurious estate with access to a private beach an larger pool. We had daily visits from cute monekys and other pretty birds. The staff is very reliable and friendly and the chef great (this is a fully serviced house wirh a cook, someone doing the clothes etc.). Our only problem was, that we did not want to leave !
