Apartment vacation rentals in Ketchikan Gateway Borough

Amazing location! Walkable to the whole downtown. Perfect apartment for a family of 3 or 4. Kitchen had the best amenities we have ever had at an Airbnb pristine pots and pans etc only caution is this would have been a little uncomfortable with another couple as only bedroom has a door. But it was perfect for a mother and 2 daughters trip. Highly recommend this amazing find.

The host was very welcoming and responsive: there was a small hiccup during check in and she was able to quickly help get it sorted out. The space was clean and obviously well maintained, with a spacious bathroom, comfortable bed, and cozy couch and tv setup. Located right in town so everything was very easy to walk to.

I know this may come off as trite or exaggerated but believe me when I say this is hand's down the very best AirBnB experience I've had in the US. Alaska is home for me & I travel all over the state for business. I am accustomed to AK standards for "lovely accommodations" & I am telling you now Amanda (who always responded promptly) & her property far surpass even Anchorage's Hotel Captain Cook. When I booked her pet friendly home I must admit I was a little bit wary expecting there to be a lingering odor of poo or, even worse, urine but such was not the case. Everything in the kitchen is where you'd expect it to be. The setting was a perfect 15min distance from downtown with a small but quality grocery store along the way. The nearby beach is sandy (rare treat in AK) & Ward Lake is nearby offering a wonderfully relaxing stroll as well as giant fireplaces beneath pavilions which allow for enjoyable gatherings in spite of classic Southeast AK Weather. I will definitely return!

the arcade game was awesome. of course we tried to beat the high score. it was perfect for me and my girls. I've stayed at another property that she owns and just like that one, it is amazing 🤩.

2nd time staying here, and it was just as great as the 1st time. From the location to the hosts, I HIGHLY recommend staying here when you can! ❤️.

This was my second stay at Marsha's place, and it was as lovely as the first. I love the surrounding trees, and the location is central to everything to do in Ketchikan. Thank you, Marsha, for a great place to stay!

Dena is amazing! The family enjoyed visiting in “our Alaska house.” The host went out of her way to be welcoming and had some great local recommendations. We hope to visit and stay there again soon.

My friends and I absolutely loved our stay at Jaimie’s modern apartment in downtown Ketchikan. Not only was it spacious and tastefully designed, it was perfectly located between Ketchikan’s restaurant scene and the local rec center and library. Jaimie was an incredibly gracious host and always responded to our messages within a few hours. We made some unforgettable memories during our extended stay with Jaimie and could not have imagined better accommodations or a better host. 100% would recommend to any travelers in town!

We stayed at Cass’s place for six nights on our 4th visit to Ketchikan to see our family. This spot was perfectly located for us and Cass has thoughtful touches in this lower level Airbnb. We plan to return every year for a visit if we are able to!

We loved our stay here. We were close enough to Knudson cove for our boat and 10 minute drive into town. Very clean, beds were comfortable after long days of fishing, everything you’d ever need in the kitchen. We had 4 of us, so it was nice having two bathrooms. Huge freezer on the porch for our catch. Amanda was great with communication. We will definitely stay here again!

Had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it. Love that is walking distance to the downtown area. Be warned that there are several sets of stairs to get to the property, but it makes for a nice view!

Great place! Very big and spacious. Jillian is very friendly and gets minor issues fixed right away.

Ideal place to stay when downtown Ketchikan gets busy with cruise ships and tourists. The Red Oar is just a short and lovely drive from town but it feels like an oasis with the peaceful and quiet surroundings and the proximity of Rotary Beach Park as well as the Saxman Totem Pole Park. A stay at the Red Oar presents the ideal way to experience all the best that Ketchikan and Alaska have to offer. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose.

Just right for my stay in Ketchikan for a few days. So much more personal than staying in a hotel. Next time I'm planning a trip to Ketchikan, I'll check with Jillian about this same spot.

Jillian's place was true to the description - the view from here is incredible. The unit had freshly redone floors and new furniture brought in before our stay so it was very comfortable, up to date, and clean. Gorgeous place to stay if you are visiting Ketchikan. Also very accommodating to longer term stays.

Definitely would stay here again. Keypads for entry we’re super nice and convenient. Awesome place to stay👍👍
