Lake Kerere Cottage

Sven was a responsive host. We enjoyed our stay. The place was serene and extremely breath-taking. Getting there was abit difficult but we managed. Absolutely worth it. I definitely recommend other guests but be sure to go with a 4WD car in order to maneuver the roads and pray it doesn't rain on the day you visit.

My stay with Bibie and Tom was wonderful. They are very nice, always here to help and to have a nice chat 🙏🏻 The collective workouts in the home made gym are excellent, all the animals very cute and the vue is very beautiful! Can only recommend you to stay here, for few days or longer :)

Amazing space! Amongst the trees with a view of the lake! Beautiful artwork and the outdoor spaces make it a special stay. Charles, the local host, provided great local tips and the most delicious local food!! Can’t wait to go back.

Baranko Villa

RodRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A bright, private, secure space with stunning views over a small lake. It has a fire pit area, paths to a private jetty, places to sit and look at the view or read a book. This is a great place for a couple (+- kids), or two couples to spend a weekend or longer just relaxing; it's close enough to be a base for day trips to Fort Portal, Kibale National Park; and further away Kasenyi and the Kazinga Channel. You can bring food and cook as we did, but better to have Clever and Annet cook meals and take care of you. We didn't stay long enough, and hope to return!
An elevated deck area features two woven chairs and a glass table, surrounded by natural greenery and vibrant flowering plants. A carved wooden rhinoceros statue adds a unique touch, while the open surroundings provide scenic views of the adjacent forest.

Butterfly Cottage Sunbird Hill, Kibale Forest edge

DanielRating, 5 stars47 months ago
Butterfly cottage is truly idyllic. Set within the forest with tremendous bird life all around. Easy access to knowledgeable local folks who can guide you on wonderful nature walks through the property. Less than 10 minutes from the starting point of Uganda's finest Chimp tracking location and there are a number of beautiful crater lakes nearby. Bigodi swamp and Town are also close and interesting excursions. The property owner is extremely pleasant and helpful Highly recommended for nature loves visiting this part of Uganda.
A vibrant butterfly with striking turquoise and black patterns is gently held above an open field guide, which displays similar butterfly images and descriptions. Hands are visibly gripping the guide's pages, set against a backdrop of green foliage.

It was a unique experience to stay at Julias place! Directly located at the border of Kibale National Park, you can watch beautiful birds, spot stunning butterflies and - if you are lucky - you can even hear the Chimpanzees scream nearby! The wooden houses are thoughtfully constructed and offer an extraordinary atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay and I really hope to come back one day to enjoy the beautiful nature and to continue our inspiring discussions!
