Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and satellite TV (Astra). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

This unique place is located next to the edge of the forest but still close to business and good communication, decorated with care and thought. Enjoy in the warm sauna overlooking the forest, cool off outside on the large porch enclosed by the tranquility and silence of the forest. Who knows, maybe there will be some deer or wild animals between the tribes of the trees. Lovely holiday accommodation for those who like animals and nature! Here you can fish, swim, hike and cycle. There are several nature reserves and hiking and cycling trails in the vicinity. You have access to a simple rowing boat (life jackets can be borrowed) and your own bay or you can borrow our jetty where you can dive or fish. We are located between Örebro and Karlskoga in Norhammar. Towels and sheets are included by the guest. For an additional cost, it is available to rent from the host.

Parts of the apartment is newly renovated and contains everything you will need for staying. In the surrounding countryside there are beautiful walking paths. The local bus stops 250 metres from the front door. You will find a lovely lake for swimming 4 kilometres away,and the large town Örebro 40 km away.

Vi erbjuder vår nybyggda "studio" (2016) till dig som vill bo nära stan men ändå på landet. Det finns tre sängplatser, en enkelsäng på loft och bäddsoffa(queensize) i kombinerat kök och vardagsrum. Om önskemål finns så ordnar vi även plats för en fjärde person på madrass på loft. Stort badrum med bastu. 28 kvm med badrum och loft. Pool och trädgård delas med värdfamiljen som bor i direkt anslutning till studion. Ett nybyggt utegym finns 100 meter från studion.
