Alex’s place at the Outrigger Kauai is great! The room has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Checking in was a smooth process and the room was clean and comfortable. In addition to providing the essentials, the room has a couple of beach chairs for guest use as well. The property is beautiful, the pools were clean, and it is conveniently located close to Lihue Airport. It is less than 30 minutes driving distance to Poipu and Koloa, and 10 minutes to Kapa’a. From the moment of booking, Alex was a very responsive, friendly and helpful host. If you are in need of accommodation in Kauai, I would highly recommend booking with Alex!!

Just book it if you're on Kauai -- it is all that you see in Lorna's photos and read in her reviews. The room has everything you would need and want in a resort BUT the view takes everything to the next level... The bedding and mattress are high quality. [Note: the mattress is on the softer side if that is important to you.] I loved the large new Keurig and To-Go mugs. You're steps from the tropical pools and the Lounge, while pricey, has good value Apps during Happy Hour. And, yes, factor in that paid parking if you rent a car (Lorna is so clear about that). Admittedly, we have rarely stayed at resorts but everything about Lorna's place brings our heartiest recommendation. Thank you, Lorna, for everything!

June 17-23 Pali Nui Suite Overlooking Kalapaki Bay

The view of the bay and the mountains from the balcony, along with the sound of the waves, and the privacy creates by plumeria trees feel very upscale. The walk to the beach is very easy and includes a free standing elevator. it's helpful to know that the elevator only runs from 7am - 7pm, if you are coming home later, you'll have to walk through a parking lot, up a hill, and on a road. Not bad, but not easy with kids and older adults. The beach does not get very crowded despite being one of the best we went to for swimming and floating. The house supplies 4 beach chairs and a cooler, which came in very handy. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is basic, but has everything you need. The location is central, and convenient for travel to Waimea Canyon, and North and South shores. Overall, the hosts were responsive and very easy to work with, and we cannot recommend this spot enough. Amazing week.

Perfect Private Kalapaki Beach Cliffside Getaway!

Had a great stay! The location and the view were amazing! Loved all the patio spaces and could sit out there for hours. The house was very accommodating for our family of 7. We wish all the windows in the living room had a curtain panel to cover all the windows at night. My son slept in there and didn’t like that some of the windows were still exposed. The bathroom connected to the 2 queen bedroom was a little awkward with the open concept and stayed wet a lot of the time. Also would be nice for there to be blinds in the windows in that bathroom. Family members or friends can easily walk outside and see the person showering. That may or not be a pleasant sight. The kitchen was fully equipped and very nice. The house is a little dated, but overall very cozy. The walk down to the beach was not bad and we appreciated the beach gear that was available in the rental. Would love to stay here again if we are ever back in Kauai.
