You can also enjoy a relaxing stay in Kagawa, such as visiting a bonsai nursery, Kokubun-ji Temple, the 80th stop on the Shikoku Pilgrimage, and walking the Shikoku Pilgrimage Route. 　You can also enjoy dining and BBQ at the English garden in the flower season. 　It is the perfect base for a stay where you can fully enjoy a day trip sightseeing in Setouchi, where you can reach Kotohira, a major tourist destination in Kagawa, within 40 minutes by rental car, Chichugahama, within an hour, and Tokushima Soya, Okayama, Kurashiki, etc., within an hour and a half. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho in northern Nagano Prefecture, blessed with forests, lakes and snow. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

Hakone Villa with Private Onsen, Ryokan Style

Also it has a Japanese style garden where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery just sitting on the tatami. The house is 25 min bus ride from Hakone-Yumoto. From the nearest bus stop, Midorinomura-Iriguchi, it's about 2 min walk. It is also very close (3min bus ride) to Sounzan, the terminal of the Hakone rope way.
