Approximately 4 meters above the ground, surrounded by green leaves, you can only feel comfortable. A day in the tree house (without the luxury of everyday life) slows you down incredibly. You shouldn't expect luxury, but rather an adventure and the challenge of getting by with little. With stick bread by the campfire and an evening view from the tree house into the starry sky, you can escape everyday life.

Old Canoe Barn

Welcome to our terp in Waygaard on Bottschlotter See. The Old Canoe Hous is a lovingly furnished, open 130 square meter apartment in our thatched-roof barn with a view of the lake, the surrounding meadows and the North Frisian marsh. It is ideal for nature lovers: you can fish, canoe, cycle around the accommodation and watch the flocks of birds that use the lake, which is partly a nature reserve, as a migration and nesting site. The lake is used for windsurfing and wingfoiling.

Halmhuset - The Straw House

Our thatched house is probably the only "Halmhuset" that is rented as a vacation home in Denmark. It is breathable, made of clay and straw, and is sustainably supplied by heat pump and photovoltaics. In summer, the thick walls provide pleasant coolness, in winter it is cozy and warm, with a room height of up to 4 meters. A real feel-good place for up to 8 people, located at the gates of the city of Tønder, close to the Wadden Sea National Park and the islands of Sylt and Rømø.

Arrive and feel good, time out in North Frisia

Vacation in the North Frisian expanse, right on the Danish border and close to the island and Hallig world, the Wadden Sea, but far away from the tourist hotspots. We live directly on the Wiedaudeich, which belongs to a large nature reserve with a fascinating birdlife and at the same time forms the border with Denmark. Here you can experience the famous sort sol, the black sun, in the spring and autumn, the breathtaking dance of ten thousand starlings in the evening sky.

The Nolde Museum is in the immediate vicinity and Denmark is only 3 km away.

The courtyard is the ideal starting point for excursions to the surrounding islands and Halligen, the Charlottenhof and the Nolde Museum. It is only 8 km to the Danish border. The estate is located between Niebüll and Risum-Lindholm. Forget your worries and enjoy the tranquility in the middle of fields. Enjoy the light North Frisian breeze on the terrace with a cup of coffee. Take a bike ride on the dike to Dagebüll (13 km) and from there to Föhr or Amrum. The way to Sylt or Denmark is also not far... Should the North Frisian weather show its dark side, the fireplace with its cozy warmth is ready.

My North Star

We modernized the approximately 200 m² vacation home "Mein Nordstern" with a lot of love for detail in 2021. We have equipped and furnished the house as we like it best. In addition to design classics, there are high-quality beds and selected kitchen utensils that make the house modern and cozy overall. Our sauna is brand new from autumn 2023. Welcome to our apartment Rehkitz im Wald in Süderlügum. Süderlügum is located right on the Danish border on the North Sea between Flensburg and Sylt. Shopping, playgrounds and an outdoor pool are a few minutes' walk away. Special feature: our shops are also open on Sundays and on many holidays. A fishing lake is also nearby, day tickets for this can be purchased from us.
