Why are the Airbnb Experiences I’m hosting canceled?
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of COVID-19 to be a global pandemic. Based on the guidance of governments and public health experts regarding social distancing, Airbnb Experiences were paused on March 18, 2020, and the pause will continue through at least April 30, 2020 in order to protect the health and safety of our community.
We believe that taking this action in the short-term is necessary to do our part to slow the spread of the virus, and in the long-term preserve experiences as a trusted way to connect with others throughout the world.
What happens to reservations
If you had a reservation between March 18 and April 30, 2020, the reservation has been automatically canceled. Your guests will receive or have received a full refund, including a refund of all Airbnb service fees. Airbnb won’t keep any fees associated with the reservation.
Booking experiences after April 30
Guests can book any available instance on your calendar after April 30, 2020. Airbnb will continue to monitor the situation globally, and will update our community if the situation changes.
