1930’s rock home has recently refurbished hardwood flooring. A full kitchen, Central Heating and cooling, a front porch and an enclosed screened in back porch. Ample parking front and in back. Still in progress in the kitchen, but very user friendly.
“My boyfriend and I were in Stamford for a wedding. Although our stay was short, it was nice to come to a house that felt like home. Lisa has done a great job adding thoughtful touches and leaving some snacks for our long drive back home. Lisa was hospitable, accommodating and responded quickly to any questions I had. Definitely recommend!”
Peaceful country lodging only five minutes from the historic Throckmorton County Corthouse and downtown Throckmorton.
“If you ever have the chance to travel the backroads of 380 across North and West Texas- this is a great little ( affordable) place to stay. Off the beaten path, this little cabin has all you need for a cozy night stay- comfortable bed, microwave, fridge, and tv ( with dvd) for those who aren’t mesmerized by the stars at night instead. Although our little family of 3 arrived late, and did not use, there was also a fire pit that would have been fun to relax around. Rhonda was more than accommodating, especially our last min request to stay. Heat and lights were on when we arrived and the directions to this hidden property were spot on. Surprisingly, our WiFi service was also fine. The next morning Rhonda suggested the local ( donations only) coffee shop in town- she even called ahead for us to confirm they were open. What a great local joint- and the local ppl made it even more welcoming. Ohhhh and the coffee was also really delicious. Don’t miss the taqueria across the street either for some delicious breakfast. I’m a New Mexican chili snob and this was some of the best red chili sauce I have had. Great stay - great ppl- great town. If your interested in escaping the hustle and bustle of the city- this is a great getaway.”
The backyard cottage is perfect for a few nights stay. It is cozy, clean, and has what you need for a weekend get away. Dog kennel is available, but no pets allowed inside. Watch the deer come up behind the house to eat from a feeder. Maybe even meet our neighbors goats that are in the pasture from time to time.
“Great place to stay. Good location. Clean, and college football on tv.”
