Forest house in a resort area overlooking the lake

Our house is on a hill, which has a great view of the mountain lake and the surrounding mountains. Behind the house is a forest with mountain bars and beautiful air. Nearby is the city center and the shore of the lake with equipped beaches and water attractions. Nearby are tennis courts, golf courses, and cycling paths around the lake. Mineral water thermal baths are 30 km away. You can take excursions to Venice, Salzburg Innsbruck, etc. There are many attractions in Carinthia - you won't regret visiting us.

3 Fantastic vacation home in prime location

Our 85 m² vacation home consists of a large living, kitchen and dining area on the first floor, as well as 2 double bedrooms, each with its own shower room on the second floor. Our vacation home was built in 2017. It is bright, spacious, cozy and equipped to a high standard. Each bedroom has its own bathroom - TV/satellite is available in each room. A washing machine and dryer are also available. Internet access via Wi-Fi is a matter of course.

Communication and friendliness were sensational, we felt very welcome. Everything was as described for a pleasant feel-good stay. Kitchen equipment great, barbecue and seating in the garden usable - generally: the apartment has flair (no sterile atmosphere). The location is perfect - 5 min to the lake. The NockMobil (on-demand shuttle, e.g. for trips to alpine hikes) has a stop in front of the door, to the postbus 10 min. (Therefore also easily accessible to the public). The best, however, are Thomas and his mother Ilse, who make it a wonderful stay.

In the heart of the mountains, this apartment offers a warm and quiet refuge from the endless expanse of snow and ice. The view is stunning, stretching beyond comprehension, a reminder of nature’s vast, silent presence. Inside, the space is dry, clean, and thoughtfully equipped—especially the kitchen, which holds everything one might need after a day spent carving through the frozen landscape. The hosts, kind and welcoming, even conjured a fire one night, inviting us to gather around, roasting marshmallows beneath the indifferent stars. For the children, toys and games provided small joys and family time. Shops were close by, offering the comforts of civilisation. By day, we threw ourselves down the mountains, surrendering to speed and gravity. By night, we returned here—warm, safe, and at peace. A perfect base for adventure and escape.

I was in the wooden house because I want to have one built myself. I was interested in what it feels like to be in a house like this. I already had some expectations, as I myself deal with natural construction and minimalism and even live in an organic, old stone house. It was a very special experience in the Zinipi house. With the wooden walls, I felt well protected in the house and yet very intimately connected to nature. My next house will be a wooden house. ;-) Thanks for having me in the house.

Our stay was great, the apartment was nice and clea, with huge windows (watch out if you're sleeping on the sofa-bed, you'll get waken up at 7 am by the light) and a big balcony. The host was helpful before and during our stay, with the onyl catch of having to wait 1 hour to check-in despite having agreed on the check-in time with the hosts, as we found the cleaning staff still inside when we arrived.
