Great place for a relaxing weekend getaway. Plenty of parking, also easy commute to Newcastle/Sunderland/Durham.

Love this place, right by the beach, and a beautiful beach too. The host was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. The place was immaculately clean, just as described, lovely and warm with all the utensils and appliances working exactly as they should. Easy to walk to town, with a Co-Op and pubs and restaurants there. Shower pretty good too. Family bathroom and a small but useful en-suite to the main bedroom

We had a lovely break. The position of the caravan overlooking the sea is one of the best on the site and it had everything we needed. We’d very happily go back for another stay.

Lovely stay in Whitley Bay at Claire’s caravan. On the edge of the park closest to the sea so great views of the coast and lighthouse. We were lucky with the sunsets - they were beautiful! Recommended!

Lovely cottage which was spotlessly clean with fresh smelling bed linen and towels. In the heart of the village with lots of walks nearby for us with the dog. It's only 8 minutes drive to Beamish Museum, short drive to see Angel of the North, 20 minutes to Durham, 15 to Newcastle with Metro Centre close by too. Great restaurants within a few minutes - Soho Tavern (2 min walk), Guiseppes (1 minute walk) and Ravensworth Arms (2 minute drive) - all with amazing food and such friendly and welcoming staff. We also got a Tesco food delivery which was handy. Great sized fully enclosed garden and off road parking was a great bonus. Kitchen had every appliance you would need, heating was great (only had to use it once) and the shower was powerful with loads of hot water. Laura and Steven checked in with us via messages and responded quickly which we appreciated. We loved our visit here and wouldn't hesitate to return. Would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent stay at the house as we homed with my family for a weekend. The location is easy to access and quiet at the riverside just opposite to the Quayside over the Tyne Bridge. Lovely service in the house during my stay.

We had such an amazing weekend here. The house was a perfect size for our group of 4 adults and 4 children. It was in an ideal location for links to Hexham and Newcastle. This was perfect for us visiting family in both of these places. The kitchen was fully kitted out with everything we needed. Bathrooms had soaps/shampoos included. Kitchen had soap/dishwasher tablets etc. handy to not have to bring everything but the kitchen sink with you for a weekend! We spoke with Dawn a few times over the weekend, and she always responded super quickly, helpfully and friendly. I would highly recommend using this property and I feel like we will use again when we are next back up visiting family!

Had a great stay . House was very clean , bedrooms and bathrooms excellent. View over the mouth of the Tyne really good from the balconies . Would stay again.

I stayed here with my son (age 12) on holiday and it was the perfect location for us. We were on foot and it's an easy walk into the centre of Newcastle. The neighbourhood was quiet at night, and generally pleasant neighbourhood. If we had brought our car, I could see that we could have parked easily. Beds were extremely comfortable and the place was roomy and relaxing. There is a great kitchen and eating area, with modern appliances. There are two bathrooms and the upstairs one has a particularly nice shower! The living room was the perfect place to chill out in the evening. The hosts were highly responsive when I had questions. I would gladly stay they again. Thanks!

We were up visiting family for the weekend and stayed at Steve and Viv’s place. The house is lovely and is exactly as described. Bathroom had a lovely rainfall shower and toiletries were provided. Instructions were very clear and they communicated very well. As previously mentioned the 3rd bedroom has a small narrow bed, which I would say is only suitable for a child, we were a party of 4, so didn’t need it. It was in an area we already know and was perfect for our needs. It was very easy to travel into Newcastle itself via bus, which stopped opposite the property. I would recommend this property. The only difficulty we had was the smart lock once we got the hang of it was not a problem. The house was very clean and had all the necessary facilities. The parking was spacious enough for two large vehicles with Lidl supermarket more or less on the doorstep. Next time I am in the area would like to stay here again

The cottage was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we needed! the views were absolutely beautiful and the area was peaceful and relaxing. The welcome guide was so indepth and had recommendations for everything! Would definitely come back again!

The property was perfect - well maintained and clean. It is also very well equipped and comfortable, and ideal for a family. Arun was a super responsive host. Situated on a quiet street off West Road, it is a perfectly located for public transporting easy access to the centre of Newcastle. Highly recommended.

Derek was a very helpful, responsive host! The location AND house its self was absolutely stunning and even better than what we expected! The experience itself in the house was absolutely fabulous and would definitely recommend to others! We hope to return again one day :)

Spacious, well-equipped and comfortable house. Close to coast and golf courses.

We had a great 5 nights, the house was spotless and we felt at home straightaway. The bedding is soooo soft, we didn’t want to get out of bed! An easy and quick walk to local shops and pubs and a play park for kids. Lovely walks from the doorstep. Highly recommend a visit to the Wood Oven for great pizza, very family friendly. Looking forward to our next stay in August.

Location, Location, Location. Sitting right next to the sea overlooking the village. This is one of those breaks where you don't really need anything else to do, you can just stay put for a few days and enjoy. The property is immaculate. We stayed Easter weekend, kite festival on the beach in the village was a treat. Nice local cafe's and take aways and well stocked small local supermarket an easy walk away. Only moved the car to use the EV charger in the free car park just along the road. A pod of Harbour Porpoises swam right past us on the last day. Perfect!
