The Ancient Baglio - Dammuso 'Il Gelso'

The Antico Baglio (“U Bagghiu” in Sicilian) is the only building of its kind in Pantelleria and dates back to around 1700. It is located in the Sesi archaeological area, 400 meters as the crow flies from the coast, 9 minutes from the town of Pantelleria and 14 minutes from the airport. It is made up of four independent Dammusi which can be accessed from the beautiful internal patio. A place of relaxation, in which you can enjoy a timeless atmosphere with typical Mediterranean rhythms and scents!

Con vista mare, terrazza solarium, cucina esterna e piscina, circondato da vigna e olivi, è situato nella zona nord-est dell'isola, molto pratica e allo stesso tempo tranquilla! La proprietà è alimentata al 100% da energia fotovoltaica per ridurre il nostro impatto sull'ambiente e quello delle vostre vacanze! Il dammuso non fa parte di alcun resort e è gestito direttamente da noi che viviamo sul posto! :)

Although the owners of the house live on the upper floor, they are very discreet, moreover, because of the way the dammusi are designed, they manage to guarantee total privacy and relaxation.

Il dammuso di Renata è un piccolo gioiellino e non manca nulla per una vacanza confortevole e rilassante. Il giardino pantesco è super curato oltre che bellissimo ed è la cornice perfetta per la vista magica di cui gode l'alloggio. Posizione molto tranquilla e buona per raggiungere bellissimi posti di mare. Renata sempre discreta e disponibile. Speriamo di tornarci!

Utter magic! My favorite place I stayed during my entire month in Sicily. They picked me up at the airport and allowed me to rent a car from them during my stay. Multiple family members were in contact with me during the entire stay. The cave suite was just SO charming, romantic, and cozy. Unbelievable shower. Very secure, and grounds were amazing. I'm coming back with family to rent the whole place.

casa perfetta per un soggiorno di due settimane. ristrutturata da poco, pulitissima e attrezzata di tutti i confort compreso wifi e aria condizionata in camera da letto. la posizione é perfetta per raggiungere il centro anche a piedi e strategica per raggiungere in macchina tutte le più belle calette dell' isola. Caterina é stata gentilissima e sempre disponibile. ci ha dato moltissimi consigli per goderci al meglio la nostra vacanza. é venuta a prenderci all' areoporto e ci ha aiutati nel recuperare l' auto noleggiata con un po' di sconto grazie alla sua convenzione con l' autonoleggio. consigliatissima e speriamo di tornarci presto.

La casa si trova in un posto meraviglioso, immersa nella natura dell isola a pochissima distanza dal mare. La casa è arredata con un gusto estremamente semplice ed elegante e ha tutte le comodità che si possano cercare. Punto forte della casa è sicuramente il meraviglioso terrazzo con affaccio sul mare dove si possono organizzare cene meravigliose e ammirare un Alba mozzafiato. Nota di merito ad Ariane eccellente proprietaria di casa che ci ha fatto sentire da subito dei veri isolani !

Il dammuso di Francesco ha regalato alla nostra famiglia un'esperienza speciale sull'isola di Pantelleria. L'abitazione è posta in mezzo ai vigneti e dalla panoramica terrazza con tettoia abbiamo goduto della vista per la colazione e cena. Un bel giardino a decoro. Una comoda doccia esterna. L'interno funzionale e ben curato è sempre fresco. Abbiamo dormito molto bene. Direi che è un posto perfetto per chi ama la natura e la tranquillità. Noi ci siamo innamorati e se dovessimo tornare sull'isola torneremo qui. Francesco ci ha dato un sacco di informazioni utili ed è stato flessibile con il checkout, cosa che abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo. I nostri bambini hanno apprezzato molto la casa e hanno avuto modo di esplorare e giocare. A presto e grazie.
