Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Gafanha da Nazaré

Lisbon was nice, but our vacation started here. Having this beautiful home and a car, we explored the region and had a great time. Owners recommendations led to our favorites experiences on the trip. Can't recommend enough. The pics don't do it justice either, and the pics are amazing.

Lieu paisible et très agréable au bord du fleuve. On peu laisser la voiture devant la maison. Il n'y a pas de voisins.

We had a fantastic stay at the villa. Highlight was the unbelievable views from the pool and terrace. The villa and garden with pool & basketball/football court is completely private, perfect for small groups. There are some great local restaurants and river beaches, and Porto centre is only a short drive away. Be warned - there are lots of steep and narrow roads! João was a brilliant host - greeting us on arrival, and easy to reach throughout. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

This is one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed. The home is in an amazing village and is so peaceful and beautiful with great views. The location is very accessible to fun hiking trails. Lousã is good to stock up on groceries. The home has good wifi and the bottle of wine the host left was such a thoughtful and pleasant surprise. We really liked sitting on the patio having food and wine and just taking in all of the surroundings. I have never been somewhere so unique. Such a special place.

Reservei o espaço para uma despedida de solteiro. Posso afirmar que todas as 11 pessoas ficaram extremamente contentes com a casa, disponibilidade do sr. Marcos e restante equipa, limpeza, comodidades e principalmente a localização da casa. Era exatamente o que procurávamos, para o tipo de férias que queríamos fazer. Fomos sempre muito bem aconselhados, informados, bem recebidos, não nos faltou nada. Uma terra linda, com atividades e locais de visita obrigatórios. Uma boa relação preço-qualidade para quem procura um bonito refúgio da vida de cidade. Muito obrigado. Voltaremos.

A casa era exatamente igual às fotografias. Desde o momento da reserva até ao check-out, a D. Adelaide foi uma excelente anfitriã, sempre disponível e atenciosa. As comodidades eram muito confortáveis e cada cantinho da casa surpreendeu pela positiva, com detalhes pensados ao pormenor para garantir o bem-estar e o conforto de todos. A receção feita pela D. Glória foi extremamente simpática e acolhedora, e o bolo de boas-vindas... estava simplesmente divinal! Sem dúvida, uma experiência para repetir.

We so enjoyed our stay! The house is amazing. Historic and cozy charm with modern amenities. We had so much fun with the soccer field, the pool, the pool table, hammock, and exploring the grounds. We picked lemons off the tree and made lemonade and a lemon dessert! We soo enjoyed meals at the big outdoor tables- wonderful to accommodate our large group of 7. The daily delivery of fresh bread is a treat!! We enjoyed walking into town and visiting the butcher, bakery, fish market and such. It’s a 25-minute walk through lovely hills, though there is not a sidewalk and the traffic was difficult to navigate at times, but we also drove to town. Sitting outside with morning coffee overlooking the valley was one of my favorite parts! My daughter and fiancé stayed in the detached cottage and found it to be so cozy and comfortable. Lastly, Isabel was very accommodating with some last minute changes, which I really appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay!

So happy we stumbled on this place! The hosts were so sweet and showed us the best spots. The location was amazing and it was perfect for 4 of us. I would love to be able to stay here again!

Alex was a wonderful host, allowing us to check in very early, and providing restaurant recommendations nearby. He lives on site downstairs, and is very responsive and helpful. The Manor House is a beautiful building adjacent to Sé do Porto, and our top-floor apartment was spacious and had incredible views overlooking the Douro River and Dom Luis I Bridge. Absolutely worth a stay with Alex in the heart of the Ribeira neighborhood!

Very clean apartment right beside the most beautiful beach. We went off season and there was still a good choice of small cafes and bars open. Very accessible to Porto and Averio by train and also cheap. Five people return was only 22 euro and half an hour journey each way. Averio is also well worth checking out. Fernando was great but to be honest we didn't really need to contact him much as everything was pretty much set up to enjoy your stay. Only downside is the beach is too far to walk to the bigger supermarkets but Uber and Bolt are very good and also quite cheap. A few local smaller shops with most of the essentials, so not really an issue. Thank you for a lovely stay! Highly recommend

Het appartement is ruim, schoon, modern en van alle gemakken voorzien. Ik voelde mij er meteen thuis. Het was heerlijk. Zelfs mijn hond kreeg een vip-treatment. Dank je voor een heerlijk verblijf, Anabela.

O apartamento é lindo, vista linda, bem decorado, limpo, com todos utensílios domésticos, roupas de cama impecáveis, valeu muito a pena nos hospedarmos lá.

we had a wonderful stay at Maria’s apartment! the views from the living room and garden were incredible and we were so close to many great restaurants, shops, bars, and tourist attractions. the host was able to accommodate a slightly early check in and we met at the apartment to pick up the keys and be shown around the building. we were also given a map with some recommendations and directions to the event we were in town for. the garden area is shared between all 4 units in the building. i believe the hosts family is two units and the other two are rentals. it was a little rainy during our stay so we only went out to the garden a couple times but it was very pleasant out there and we got to meet the host’s dog! everything in the apartment was great and we felt right at home for our 5 nights in porto. would highly recommend staying here!

We stayed for more than a week at Manuela's place and had a great time. Manuela and her son Daniel were very welcoming from the check-in till then end of the stay (thanks for the delicious port wine!). The house is better than the pictures - cozy living room, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and lovely garden ... with a hot tub! Porto old city is 20mins drive, Aveiro is 40mins and Douro Valley is around 1.20mins from the place. There is a lovely restaurant by the river around 500mts away. Steep down and uphill walk but amazing views and very good traditional Portugese food. Good to have own transport (you can park inside or on the street) but there is a bus stop just few feet away from the house (we didn't use it as we had our own car). Overall a lovely stay. Thanks Manuela and Daniel for hosting us!

Super logement, je recommande! La localisation est géniale, le logement est face à la mer, l’environnement est calme et pour ceux qui le souhaitent il y a des restaurants à proximité. La ville de Porto est facilement accessible. Nous étions 4 adultes et 1 enfant, nous avons trouvé la maison spacieuse , belle et bien équipée. Rodrigo a été super sympa et réactif. Merci pour tout.

Really great apartment and location. Absolutely beautiful. Quiet and huge garden with a really nice pool. The garden is well maintained and fruit and vegetables are growing. Owners are friendly and really helpful. The apartment and kitchen are well equipped and really clean. Would definitely recommend this place and would return.

si tengo que encontrar alguna pega a esta estancia, serían los mosquitos. El resto fue todo estupendo. El anfitrión fue súper amable, estuvo pendiente y nos recomendó muchos lugares. La casa a demás de ser preciosa y de estar muy limpia también estaba llena de cosas a nuestra disposición. Hemos estado en muchos alojamientos y de varios países diferentes, y nunca habíamos visto algo tan completo y acogedor como este lugar. lo recomiendo al 100%, el precio es algo caro pero cuando llegamos entendí que mereció totalmente la pena. a nuestro perrito también le gusto mucho :)

Rustiek en charmant huisje in een klassiek Portugees berg dorpje. Mooi verbouwt en voorzien van alle gemakken. Voor mij als lange Hollander wel een kleine uitdaging maar het was geen probleem. Ik raad deze of een van de andere huisjes in de nabije omgeving van harte aan.

Adorámos ficar na casa do Vitó e da Vera. A casa é encantadora, ideal para famílias ou grupos de amigos. Convida a estar em casa a partilhar momentos de lazer. Os anfitriões foram uma simpatia facilitando horas de check in e check out. Muito obrigada
