A renovated, 100-year-old traditional house that is rented out as a whole. Located in a 10-minute walk to the shore of Lake Kawaguchi, with a total area of about 198 square meters, it can accommodate up to 15 people. You can luxuriously experience the Japanese atmosphere in all seasons, with the stunning view of Mt. Fuji from the bedroom and the beautiful Japanese garden spreading out in front of the spacious living room. [Toketoke Mountain Villa] A villa with a great view of Kawaguchiko Lake. We hope you can relax and unwind.

I named it "Toke-Toke Sanso" because I want you to relax in the wind, sound, greenery, lake, sun, clouds, stars, moon, rain, earth, snow, and this mountain villa. The owner, who studied graphic design, sculpture, and furniture making, and works as a jewelry designer, designed almost everything from the building, exterior, and interior, and even did some of the construction. No, I did quite a bit of construction, lol. The exterior is a warm black. It is made of burnt cedar, which is held together with brass nails. It is a rare exterior of a traditional technique used in the western region. Using my experience as a furniture craftsman, I made the interior lattices, small windows on the doors, lighting, kitchen back counters, shelves, signs, and more using pure wood. There are also remakes and resizes of old tools, and there are many things that are unique to this place. The floors and stairs are made of pure cedar planks, and the walls are painted using an American technique called drywall, which I did with the help of a craftsman. I aimed to create a warm, new, and somewhat nostalgic, calm space.

Nice location, you can see Mt. Fuji from the living room, which is beautiful.Host was very nice, and although there were some problems during check-in, such as no bed sheets and no dishwashing cotton, they all arrived in time to fix the problem. One thing I would like to mention is that if you come by car, if you have not driven a very narrow road, then you are recommended to take a smaller car as there is a turn that is particularly narrow.

It was a very comfortable accommodation!The air conditioning was particularly good.The whole house is air-conditioned, so the whole house is kept at the same temperature, and it was like a hotel with no temperature difference! From the garden, you can see a beautiful green forest, and it felt private.I went to dinner with the host's family. They gave us a lot of local recommendations, which were very useful for sightseeing. It was a valuable experience that we wouldn't have had if we had stayed at a🗻 hotel.I'll visit again!

We had a brief but very relaxing and peaceful stay here. Jun and Kimi are lovely people and the whole place has their kind and warm energy within it. Jun has some fascinating historical facts to share on the area if you are interested, and Kimi makes stunning crystal jewellery. Highlights were their delicious food, the gentle ambient music playing, the beautiful view to the lake from the dining room, the private bath with pure spring water from nearby and the comfy pillows. Only downside was that the mattresses were a little on the thin side for us but I would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you both for a very memorable stay.

This experience made me feel the unique charm of a Japanese tatami inn. The inn is located near Dashi Park, in a great location, about 10 minutes' drive from Kawaguchi Lake Station, with convenient transportation.The quiet surroundings of the hotel allow you to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the tranquility of nature. Unfortunately, the weather was not good, I didn't see Mt. Fuji for the first two days, and only saw the main Mt. Fuji when I checked out on the third day, which was a bit of a waste of the advantage of being able to see Mt. Fuji directly from the room.I will come back another day, thank you Wat for your 100% service!
