Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Faial Island

Brunas Unterkunft ist schön und hell. Auch die Terrasse hat uns sehr gut gefallen. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden und das Bett/ Matratze war bequem. Außerdem zentral gelegen.

Heel mooie rustige plek vlak bij zee. In het huis was alles aanwezig en we kregen eigengemaakte wijn en brood. Heel attent! Twee hele kleine puntjes ter verbetering misschien, het was, zo vroeg in het jaar, behoorlijk koud in de kamer en er was geen verwarming helaas ( in de slaapkamer gelukkig wel! En die was al voor ons aangezet ook!). Verder beschikte de televisie wel over alle nodige kanalen maar was ie wel wat erg klein.

Absolutely amazing place for a couple of days of relaxation. The top balcony is great as you can see the sun set and enjoy the sea view while having dinner. Comfortable bed and plenty of pillows and even gives you coffee capsules and a water just in case. 5 stars

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit bei Jörg und Plonja! Der Empfang war herzlich, die Kommunikation super unkompliziert. Alles war außergewöhnlich sauber – so gepflegt haben wir keine andere Unterkunft auf den Azoren erlebt. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, Bäder und Küche top, der Außenbereich mit Pool, Sauna und Meerblick ein Traum. Trotz Nähe der Gastgeber hat man volle Privatsphäre. Die zehn Tage in Miguels Haus waren hervorragend. Das Haus ist traumhaft gelegen, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, praktisch und ruhig. Die Aussicht ist einmalig. Jeden Morgen mit dem Kaffee draussen sitzen und auf das Meer hinausschauen war sehr erholsam. Das Haus ist perfekt gelegen, um Ausflüge zu unternehmen. Rundherum ist alles grün, wunderschön! Der Pool ist sauber und angenehm, vor allem die Steine rundherum heizen schön auf und man kann super entspannen. Miguel war sehr hilfreich, als ich ein Problem mit dem TV hatte. In 5 Minuten war es gelöst. Perfekter Urlaub, ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

We felt incredibly lucky to stumble upon (& get to book) Jorge’s summer family home: there is not a better view of Horta in the entire area! We loved having our mornings & evenings overlooking the gorgeous bay & town. There were many evenings we had dinner at home instead of out because we knew we could not beat that front yard! We never met Jorge, but he was so warm & responsive we felt like we knew him. His recommendations were terrific (do go to Peter’s Sport Cafe- the food is excellent & the Gin & Tonic, per their & Jorge’s recommendation, is so smooth & to die for ((& we aren’t even cocktail people)). The house was great; we only had one minor issue, & Marco & Carla, the caretakers, (who are such kind, wonderful people), handled it perfectly. We loved Faial so much! Definitely hike the volcanoes, & go to O Moro Quijeria for the best cheese in the world (seriously!). We certainly recommend this house to others & plan to rent it again ourselves :)

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet und toll gelegen. Der Ausblick aus den großen Panoramafenstern ist das Highlight, aber auch die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist sehr gut. Einziger Nachteil ist die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit im Schlafzimmer und der damit verbundene muffige Geruch. Durch den konsequenten Einsatz der Klimaanlage (wie von Ana beschrieben) lässt sich dies jedoch gut in den Griff kriegen. Auch Insekten sind ein häufiger Gast, dies war jedoch auch in anderen Wohnungen auf den Azoren der Fall und lässt sich kaum vermeiden. Wir hatten hier eine sehr schöne Zeit und können die Wohnung bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen. Auch der Kontakt zu Ana war super, sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit.

Fomos muito bem recebidos, com simpatia, atenção e uns miminhos regionais. A casa é muito espaçosa e tem todos os itens essenciais. Se regressarmos ao Pico, será para o alojamento do Sr. Antonio. Muito obrigada por tudo!

Il soggiorno è andato benissimo, la casa di Andreia è piccola ma dotata di tutti i confort, ottima per due persone. E' vicino alla fermata del bus e a Sao Roque, ma per visitare l'isola ritengo sia indispensabile l'auto. Ci piacerebbe tornare

We had a great stay, the apartment is spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, clean and it's in a perfect location. You can park nearby for free and the ferry station is about 3 minutes on foot. The balconies are amazing, we could not only admire the distant Faial island and Madalena with the beautiful church, but also watch some local festivities from there. The sofa is also quite comfortable for sleeping. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming, helpful and easy to communicate with. We immediately received help with the issue we had. Overall, highly recommended for anyone planning to explore the beautiful island of Pico!

Environnement paisible et agréable, très beau jardin, dépendance au calme et bien entretenue. Emplacement proche de la côte nord. Hôte réactif et échange fluide et agréable

Excelente! A casa corresponde plenamente às fotos (ao vivo, até supera, tal o bom gosto da decoração!). Éramos 8 hóspedes - 6 adultos e duas crianças; a casa tem bastante espaço e conforto para dormir/descansar e para conviver. Paisagem linda no exterior! A Andreia foi bastante disponível e atenciosa! O único senão da localização, é o facto de se ouvirem os carros a passar na estrada principal, principalmente no quarto do fundo (o que pode acontecer até mais tarde à noite). No geral, estadia maravilhosa; com um grupo de 8-10 pessoas, voltaria! :)

The appartment was perfect for two people. The view was beautiful and definitely a highlight. A rental car is necessary since there isn’t much within walking distance. Two cats live there when you're outside on the balcony—it was always nice to have them nearby. Another great feature was the whirlpool, which made the stay even more relaxing. Overall, a wonderful stay! We can highly recommend appartement T0.

Un logement atypique plein de charme et d'histoire. Immersion totale dans l'île de Faïal d'hier et d'aujourd'hui. Un grand merci à Agostinha pour son accueil et sa gentillesse.

Wonderful stay on Pico island. Close to the sea and natural beach, but also to the mountains. Everything was in perfect state, fully equipped kitchen.

Perfect location in the heart of Horta. Easy to walk to the marina and all the restaurants and bars. The apartment was spotless and extremely spacious. Host is very responsive and extremely helpful. Excellent home for your visit to Faial.

Die Wohnung von Margarida ist äusserst hübsch und praktisch eingerichtet… uns fehlte es an nichts. Die Lage ist super zentral und gleichzeitig ruhig. Horta ist ein bezauberndes Hafenstädtchen. Margarida war eine super Vermieterin… ich kann diese schöne Unterkunft zu 100% empfehlen!

Eunice was an amazing host. She was always responsive, helpful and very kind. We had issues with the lock box and within 10 min she had the matter solved. We would definitely recommend Eunice as a host!

Thanks to Alvaro for making our stay seamless. We were near everything and loved the space. What a stunning house right on the pier possible to swim every morning.

Geweldig verblijf op Failal! De accommodatie heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, het is schoon en is mooi gelegen in ‘Varadouro’; je kan zelfs lopend naar het natuurlijke zwembad aan zee. De host geeft je veel informatie en tips en is goed bereikbaar! Aanrader!!

mooie plek om te verblijven, mooi nieuw appartement met goed uitgeruste keuken en goeie bedden. Pluspunt vind ik ook dat er horren voor de ramen zitten zodat er geen insecten naar binnen komen en je met het raam open kan slapen :) (soms beetje lawaai van de straat van auto's dan maar niet erg). Goede restaurants op loopafstand

Beautiful stay in Madalena. The apartment was well kept and had all of the amenities you would want. The property is a 15 minute walk along the coast into the town centre, with fantastic views of Faial the whole way there. Paula a fantastic host, would happily stay again.
