Our large property is steeped in tradition initially housing staff for the Chateau and formally then a hotel. Our property is in a peaceful location with countryside garden views, yet just a few minutes' walk to two restaurants/ bars & five minutes’ walk to the amenities of historical Le Dorat main square with its bars, restaurants, shops and train station giving access to Poitiers, Limoges & Paris. The pretty courtyard & large garden are home to fruit trees. With sun/ shade spots & wildlife.

'The Studio'

The Studio, a calm space, in a very tranquil location, to spend a few days, or break up a long journey. It is hidden away in our peaceful smallholding in Central France, and yet just 20 minutes from the A20. Close to villages and small towns where you can find Boulangerie's, shops and restaurants. The Studio sleeps 2, but a travel cot (and bedding) for babies can be provided (please message to check for availability, as we have one travel cot between two listings)

Le Hameau du Breuil, PRIVATE, located in the heart of the Poitevin countryside, at the gates of the Abbey of Saint-Savin (UNESCO World Heritage Site), promises calm and serenity. I offer you a little paradise in Magnac Laval, a place called cressac, in the limousin, a very friendly place, you will not regret, for a couple with 1 child or 3 adults,there is a bedroom and a living room , equipped kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and a veranda that overlooks a large garden, barbecue, not very far from the highway 20 , 500 m from the pouyades, 3 km from shops ( Intermarché) bakery.(Pets are allowed with a supplement)

The cottage overlooks and accesses the river, where swimming is possible. The hamlet is very peaceful, and the water is a great place to relax! A walk can be enjoyed from the cottage, along a path along the Vienne River. You can reach Chauvigny on foot or by bike along the trails. There are a few chickens on the grounds. Nightly rate: €52 without sheets + €8 sheets to be paid in advance if needed.

The Sabotier Studio

Studio of 25m2, in quiet village, giving access to hiking trails. 38 min from Val de Vienne, close to Futuroscope, 1 hr from Limoges and Poitiers and 5 min from Dorat, train station 3 min from Poitiers - Limoges. In the studio: a sofa area with TV, a 140×200 bed and ensuite bath. In another room a kitchenette (airfryer, microwave, induction plate) and toilet. Garage available (bike or motorcycle).
