Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Diemelsee

We had a very nice one in Daniela's charming cottage. We did not lack anything on site and Daniela was always available for questions. We particularly liked the private location of the cottage and the beautiful garden in which we could make ourselves comfortable in nice weather. However, it should be noted that the noise, the nearby highway, which caused a subtle background noise at least during the day. Due to the good connection, however, we were able to reach beautiful routes to explore and hike in a few minutes' drive. Overall, we were very satisfied and can definitely recommend a stay.

A nice location, with a terrace at the back, where you could sit nicely by the river, and behind it the garden. It was a spacious house, with spacious rooms. Even the kitchen was a separate, and very spacious space. Everything was present. Very clean and tidy. Nice hiking in the village. Shops are 4 kilometers away. Edersee 20 minutes by car. Really worth going to. Did a nice brisk walk there. In short, value for the price.

We spent an extended weekend in this great house with 8 people and were completely thrilled, especially by the diverse and large lounges and the park-like outdoor area. The amenities are more than extensive and we didn't miss anything. The house with its ambiance and tasteful decor is truly one of a kind. Anne gave a tour of the house, as well as tips on shopping and dining options in the area. She was also always available for questions. We definitely want to come back.

We had a very nice stay at Oda in the small apartment. Everything necessary was available and everything was already set up for our dog. On request, we were able to use bicycles on site, with which we rode to Kassel city center. The surroundings are wonderfully quiet. Thank you, Oda!

We had a great stay with a total of three families. Ulla is a very nice, helpful and accommodating hostess. The accommodation and surroundings were really fantastic for a quiet break!

Super nice! Idyllic, large meadow by the house great for ball games or frisbee, several streams by the house + various cozy spots. Inside everything is very tasteful, nice mix of old + new, many wooden beams, very different room heights. Upstairs 2 bathrooms, one with a bathtub. Toilet on the first floor would be more practical, especially as the stairs are a little special, just an old building. The remains of the former mill right by the house ensure a clearly audible permanent splashing. But you don't hear any cars driving by at some distance. Directly around the house there are only meadows, water, trees, fields and the neighboring house with 2 (?) other apartments. Many beautiful views. Brilon can be reached in 5 minutes by car, but you feel very nice for yourself due to the valley location. Weak Wi-Fi, which is noticeable when, for example, streaming music and using the library. Good coffee machine. Despite all the small criticisms or ideas for improvement: we felt very comfortable!

Everything was perfect 👌🏽 we would always choose this house again. It was a perfect vacation for us 😊

Beautiful location, surrounded by nature, lots of sunlight. House is cozily decorated, you feel right at home. Anything you need is available. Extra effort was made for our small children (baby cot, high chair, stair gate). Close to beautiful hiking trails and only 5 to 10 min drive to other places in Winterberg for skiing/sledding. In the evening enjoyed a campfire and the sauna. Communication with the owners prior to our stay went very smoothly!

We had a wonderful time at Lake Eder, which we discovered for ourselves from the beautiful apartment. With the view of the lake, you will be insanely relaxed and calm. We liked the room and the region very much and would be happy to come back!

We were received in a very friendly manner upon arrival and everything was shown to us. The apartment is nicely furnished and the kitchen is well equipped. As a starting point for excursions to the Edersee, the apartment is well suited, and shopping is also nearby. It is very quiet and you can relax well, in good weather you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the view of the grounds. We enjoyed it very much. Best regards, Roman and Gabi

We had booked an overnight stay. The communication with Susanne was friendly and totally straightforward. Check-in was also flexible and we were even able to pick up the key a little earlier. The apartment is beautiful and ideal for a short trip. In the immediate vicinity in the village, there are shops, cafes and restaurants, a little further then beautiful areas for walking, hiking and swimming. I highly recommend staying at Susanne's :)

Everything was great! The beds were very cozy and the use of the wellness area was definitely a highlight.

Beautiful, inexpensive accommodation in an idyllic location. Shopping, restaurants and all kinds of tourist offers of Willingen are within walking distance, parking at the house is also available. Sven is an extremely friendly and accommodating host! Check-in was flexible and quick. The apartment was very clean and cozy, as well as equipped with everything necessary for a short trip.

We stayed in Tanya's accommodation for 4 days and felt comfortable right from the start. Check-in was very easy. The place is very nicely decorated and well maintained. Everything fits the pictures. The view from the terrace into the valley was beautiful. From there, you have many opportunities to hike or explore cities like Kassel, which were a short drive away. Tanja has been a super lovely host and we can recommend her as well as the accommodation 100%.

The place met all our expectations. We were warmly welcomed, the apartment was excellent in all respects. In particular, the quiet and natural location of the beautiful half-timbered house was very accommodating to us. And yet the center of the city of Kassel is very quick to reach - also by public transport. The 4 nights convinced us to definitely book Moritz's apartment again. Thanks for the hospitality!! Fantastic apartment in a great environment. We spent 2 nights here with our two children (3 and 8) and explored Fritzlar, the National Park and Kassel Wilhelmshöhe from there. The playground right next to the house was particularly liked by the children and Wolfgang and Simone are great hosts! The old rectory is beautiful! We will be happy to come back.

We loved the apartment. We felt right at home. The bedding was cozy and smelled fresh. The box-spring bed is super comfortable, as is the sofa bed in the living room. Towels and toilet paper were sufficiently available. Also coffee, spices, oils etc. in the kitchen. We particularly liked the small garden and the quiet of the area. Shopping is sufficiently available in the town. In a few minutes you are at Lake Edersee. Thanks Licinio for the wonderful stay!

We were very satisfied with the accommodation. Check-in was very straightforward directly through Oli as the host. The apartment is very nice, absolutely clean and matches the pictures. It is quietly located in the countryside in Altenkleusheim without traffic noise, etc. On the small terrace you can relax and enjoy a coffee, tea or wine with a view of the garden. The amenities are good, you can find everything you need. The highlight for us was the sauna, which we used on two rainy days of our stay. Cuddling up to the fireplace in the living room afterwards is already premium🤩. And the surroundings are beautiful. Hiking on the Listertalsperre, on the Biggesee & Co. is fun and ensures pure relaxation and a good mood. Oli as a host was very attentive and always available/responds quickly to messages and also gave us great tips for exploring the area. We will therefore be happy to come back☺️.

We were in this wonderful Airbnb for the second time and relaxed nicely, enjoyed the view of Hercules, enjoyed the loving address of the hostess, cooked in the well-equipped kitchen and slept very well. We'll be back for sure! Kassel is a great city. And the apartment invites you to linger.

Very nice apartment in a beautiful setting. It is very clean and we lacked nothing for such a stay. Shopping facilities can be reached quickly by car and the possibilities for the children are sufficient. The Spielberg was the reason for our stay, it is great and if the weather deems it necessary, you have swimming pools nearby.

We were super satisfied and very happy to be guests. The outdoor area was also particularly beautiful. All as described, very nicely furnished:) Also a short-term change (my nephew came spontaneously) was no problem at all, thank you again :)
