My place is a cozy home tucked on the slopes of Zonwe Mountain in Bvumba (in Shona means “Mist”) overlooking the tropical low lands of Mozambique. It has great views and situated in a beautifully terraced flower garden. The setting is ideal for couples, business travelers, families and small groups with a desire to break away from the hustles of city life and take a back seat to enjoy the country side and be close to nature. Montana is indeed a home away from home.

A tranquil and relaxing retreat in its own right and ideally located for visiting local tourist attractions in the Vumba Mountains. A good spot for walkers and hikers, bird watchers and photographers. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, families and groups. We are a 25 minute drive from Mutare and 35 minutes from the Mozambique border post on a well maintained tar road.

Melody’s place is so clean and easy to access as it’s close to town. We enjoyed the stay and the caretaker was always there to help us whenever we needed anything.

Our stay was very wonderful. We had the luxury of accessing the full house. The care taker was friendly and always available when need be - we had privacy and quietness that you can not normally find. The fresh air and lovely garden set up was amazing with an option to braii. The city center is a bit far if you don’t have your own car it will be costly however there was a local growth point to get your emergency basic needs. Chef Cola

Very comfortable room in a nice neighborhood with a beautiful view. We had a great time with the host, who took us along with his family to show what the area had to offer. Would definitely recommend!

Ubuntu Backpackers was everything I was looking for accommodation-wise, and then so much more. It's a lovely little community with Christa at its heart. She helped me with my research and with local contacts. I was sad that I had to move on. You will not regret staying here.
