A space in the middle of nature, ideal for disconnection. The cottage of 30 square meters with terrace of 18 square meters, is located on the Bistrita Valley between the mountains with the same name. It is made of natural wood, benefits from electric heating and is very well insulated. The property is bordered by the Bistrita River, it has a yard of 10,000 square meters. In the yard you have SAUNA and CIUBAR. It is 30 minutes away from Durau Resort, 30 minutes from Rarau, 45 minutes from Tara Dornelor, with full SKI.

We really enjoyed our days at the property. The location can be taken every day for a walk in a different area, the garden is wide and equipped and the girls really liked to play outside. The house itself is spacious, comfortable and clean and felt thoughtful of the hosts to allow for a pleasant space for guests. Highly recommend

Aura made us feel very welcome. We were a group of 10, with children, everyone with different needs and questions, which Aura answered promptly. It’s worth knowing the cabin is on a busy main national road, giving it great access to the whole area; the traffic sound is audible from the property. The cabin is situated next to a car demolition site, with shells of old cars, and construction works are taking place on the fields on top and below the house. So the beautifully designed building is not as remote and tranquil as it might appear from the photographs, which was a little disappointing. However, the cabin has great bbq facilities, jacuzzi and sauna. We were particularly thankful for Aura sending someone to turn the wood heating system on late in the evening, when the children were cold. The children were also super excited at Aura’s generosity sending local delicacies for breakfast.

A long hallway is visible, featuring a dark carpet running along the floor. Bright light filters in from large windows at the end, illuminating the space. A plant is positioned by the doorway, and mirrors are mounted on the walls. A radiator is also present.

The property corresponds to the description, it is very well heated and comfortable. The location is good – next to the park and just 3 minutes to the slopes. The host is extremely responsive and kind, ready to help with any question. I highly recommend it.

Note 10 for this place to stay. Really impressive. We loved it. Very nicely arranged and equipped with everything you need. A big plus was the fact that the area is very quiet. Also, the breakfast and lunch (optional for a fee) were great. It was totally worth it and we will definitely want to come back.

★★★★★ A Dream Stay in Vatra Dornei! Our stay at Ionel’s beautiful holiday home was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, Ionel’s warm hospitality made us feel at home. He made the fire for us every morning and evening, ensuring we were always cozy. The house is incredibly spacious, featuring six large, comfortable bedrooms, a beautifully designed living room, and a charming traditional aesthetic. I especially appreciated the two bedrooms with desks, which gave me the perfect space to work with my laptop and monitor. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the essentials, so was the walk-in pantry. The outdoor BBQ gazebo was a dream—perfect for cooking and dining with family and friends. Ionel was also kind enough to let us bring our pup, who stayed warm in the entry hall. Every detail was thought out to make our stay exceptional. We truly can’t recommend this place and Ionel as a host enough. We’ll definitely be back!
