Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Coronado

Our family enjoyed our stay in this adorable home. It had everything we needed for a weekend stay and was very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and centrally located. Lindsay was super responsive and the home had great bonus areas such as the rooftop. Thank you!!

The hosts were very accomodating and communicative as well as the place exceeded our expectations. It is beautiful, well kept, and has everything you’ll need and more. The beach and plenty of restaurants and corner stores were within walking distance. The sleeping arrangements were super comfy and clean. Snacks, water, coffee, toiletries, laundry, and beach supplies for the family were provided and made us feel taken care of. We especially enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. 10/10 recommend! My family and I are looking forward to making it an annual stay.

We had a wonderful stay. The place was very clean and comfortable. The location was great. It was very close to the beach and it was very peaceful throughout the day and night. We would definitely like to come back someday.

Our stay at the Carter Cottage was beyond words. We struggled to find a home that could accommodate our group for the weekend we stayed and we were overjoyed to find such a perfect retreat. Not only was the home well positioned in town near the sunset cliffs and local eateries, it was hard to leave because the house was designed so beautifully. Every detail was thoughtfully done. We really had a hard time saying goodbye at the end of our stay. We will be making this our destination going forward. Thank you Ashlyn and Travis!

This place literally felt like paradise. If you didn’t know you were in San Diego, you would feel like you’re in Hawaii! The backyard was so beautiful that we spent the majority of our time out there in the pool, hot tub, and tiki bar! The upstairs patio was fantastic for outdoor eating. The hosts were super communicative with any questions we had prior to and during our visit! We definitely can’t wait to stay again in the future!

Overall, Jessica’s place was exceptionally clean and had a lot of thoughtful details I appreciated, especially the family friendly things they offered! Really loved the blackout curtains, beach, toys, and chairs, books, and bath toys. There is a perfect space for the pack and play in the main bedroom where it is out of the way. Appreciated the makeup towels and q tips. The neighborhood was very quiet despite being very very close to all the neighbors. Close to everything - but neighborhood itself isn’t really an area to walk around . Check in was annoying . You have to sign a bunch of online forms and put down a credit card in order to get your code to get in. the place markets itself as very family friendly, however, they have probably 30+ breakable vases all around the place at kid level that I had to promptly remove because I was afraid my toddler would break them accidently- especially since we had to put down a credit card for damages …they look nice but not kid friendly .

This space was perfect for my friend and I when we were in town for a wedding. It looks just like the pictures and was very clean. The host, Kay was also, very friendly and communicative. Overall, a great B&B!

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Tamara’s Airbnb. The property was exactly as described—beautifully decorated touches, and best of all, it included access to a private beach that felt like our own hidden getaway. We had originally planned to stay at the Gaylord Hotel but stumbled upon this listing—and we’re so glad we did. Choosing Tamara’s place turned out to be the best decision. The spacious layout, multiple comfortable beds, and well-appointed bathrooms offered a level of comfort and privacy that far exceeded what a hotel could provide. When we weren’t relaxing on the private beach, we explored the charming local town and rented electric bikes from IB Bikes, which was a perfect way to take in the area’s attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, stylish, and well-located retreat!

I love this cottage-y attic apartment! So cozy and cute w plenty of blnkets and pillows. The space was so relaxing and perfect for a vacation stay. I appreciated how clean it was without any nasty cleaner smells. It really felt like staying at a family’s place. At 5’8”, there were moments i felt a bit tall for the space (ie the wonderful tub and it’s an attic w some slanted ceilings) but it didn’t really hinder me from feeling happy here. Highly recommend and i hope i can stay here all the time when i’m in town. Hell, i wish it were my permanent apartment!

This is hands down one of the best stays my husband and I have ever had! Not only was the place super easy to find, but it was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The host, Connie, was extremely kind and flexible with us when our check in was late. She made us feel right at home and the value of the stay far exceeds the price. I highly recommend their granny flat in La Mesa and hope I can come back again very soon!!

Perfect base to attend conference, trolley stop just down the road which was only a few stops away from gaslight area and conference center. Bed was really comfortable, and whilst there was occasional street noise I found it quiet at night and slept really well. Rachel has decorated the apartment beautifully and having a kitchen is fabulous. The rooftop terrace is great to chill out and the washing line was really handy to hang out handwashed clothes, if you are lucky you might get a visit from the friendly cats next door. Rachel was really responsive to questions, great restaurants near, and a few small grocery stores.

As a home base for your La Jolla adventures, this spot can't be beat. You have the ocean on one side and all of the shops and restaurants in the village on the other. Bonus points for how clean everything was.

Our family of four stayed for a week. It’s a great area away from crowds. The place has everything you would need. A plus to have beach gear to borrow during our stay, chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, and sand toys. We had a small/mid size suv we were able to fit in garage, we had to get a little creative on how to get in and out of the car but it was not an issue. I would book this place again, you can’t beat the location if you want to be in the quieter section of mission bay. Communication from host was great.

Great place. I recommend if you need a quiet and comfy place to stay. If you have a car, they have a parking spot if needed :)

I had a great time staying at Thelma De La Paz’s place! The space was cozy, very clean, and exactly what I needed for a comfortable stay. Thelma was a wonderful host - polite, welcoming, and super responsive to any questions I had. Highly recommend!

This was a wonderful place to stay. My wife, my two children, and myself stayed here for three nights. Everything was a breeze, and we had everything that we needed. Mugs, glasses, plates, etc. were all provided. This is so conveniently located. You are within a three minute walk to Starbucks, a four minute walk to the beach, and a four minute walk to outstanding restaurants nearby. The area is safe, clean, and quiet. This place is ideal for a small family that is bringing only one car. If you bring more than one car, you have to park publicly on the side of the street, which is very inconvenient in my opinion. Geoff provided everything for us, including an extra twin size bed, sand toys for the beach, beach, chairs, and beach towels. We would love to stay with Jeff again.

We loved this apartment- it was beautiful and had everything we needed! It was even bigger than the photos make it seem. Gorgeous decor and beautifully maintained/cleaned. Lots of extras/amenities like kitchen items, toiletries, beach stuff, and linens. The host’s communication was very hospitable and helpful! Location and view is incredible - right on the beach and walkable to so many cute cafes, grocery stores and bars. Comes with a parking spot too, and pool and hot tub access! Would definitely book again!

Our stay at Tony’s place was too short! It’s a great place with everything we needed AND walkable to so much in the super cool neighborhood. We loved that coffee and laundry supplies were provided. Anything else we may have needed was available just a short walk away. We didn’t have the opportunity to cook but it appeared as though everything needed was there. Plenty of towels and other supplies on hand too. A designated parking spot was another bonus. We loved all of the windows and being able to open them and feel the cool breeze.

Amazing place! I love love the area and my kids & family enjoyed the view. The rooms were very nice. In my end, I should have did more research as we did not know the beach was contaminated. Unfortunately we couldn’t get in the water due to sewage and contamination issue. Overall it’s a great place but if you have small children that love the beach and going to the water then not really a place to swim. I was just sad as the lifeguards told us it’s not safe to go swim, although I did see surfers in the water. The Host was so sweet and kind. She was very quick to respond and very helpful.

Incredible location right on the beach! Great restaurants and eateries all in walking distance, including coffee shops, bakery, and convenience stores. Emmy's welcome book included great tips and recommendations for the area. Both the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed, both well stocked. Highly recommend.
