Places to stay in Cimarron County

It was a great place to stay and ww had wonderful, friendly hosts!

Ok If you are a Gen X’er who visited Grandma and Grandpa out in the country as a little kid and you want to step back in time and remember what it was like; this is the place for you. It feels just like you’re staying at Grandma’s for the weekend. It is very clean, quiet, and peaceful. We came out to hike Black Mesa and both the Mesa and this place didn’t disappoint. Would definitely stay here again.

Cute little place and she isn’t kidding when she says there is a huge movie selection! Even with single digit temps the heater kept us comfortable through the night.

The location was beautiful with absolutely stunning views of the mesas. It was super peaceful and secluded and hearing no sounds of the city, just wind and wildlife was so refreshing. It made it really easy to relax and enjoy time with my family. Cerita was kind, welcoming, and responsive, and she even left us some thoughtful gifts. She and Eddie stopped by and shared some very interesting info about the land and buildings, which we really appreciated. We took some lovely walks and saw all kinds of amazing birds, lots of cows, and even heard wild turkeys in the trees near the house. The turkeys did talk back when I called to then too which was so funny. The prickly pears were blooming and they looked so much more fresh and vibrant than the ones we see in the Sonoran desert. We also really loved using the grill and outdoor tables to really enjoy the fresh air and the scenery. I had such a great time with my family and absolutely loved the house. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Our recent stay at Grandma’s Little House was a five star rating. The cozy little house was very comfortable, stocked with everything you would need, and very clean. The location is close to downtown and located on a quiet and peaceful street.

The place is adorable. We really enjoyed ourselves and felt like we were right at home. Very well kept and comfortable.
