If there’s such a thing as 11 out of 10 this is it! Me and my family have stayed at places all over the world and this may be our top Airbnb yet. There were 8 of us and we had no idea as to how great this place was until we stepped in the door. Pictures don’t always do a place justice but this location exceeded all of our expectations. We stayed for 5 days and we all felt like it wasn’t long enough. We loved CHANIA but we couldn’t stop talking about this House. Everything was clean and new and we will definitely go back in the near future. We are still in disbelief there are places like this that are rented that are so nice. Thanks again to all the who helped us during our stay and can’t wait to visit again! Mark

Just back from 10 amazing days at Casa del Mar - an oasis of peace and quiet, from wherever you're coming from. The house sits atop a hill, with the most wonderful views across the sea to an island and the rest of the Cretan mainland. That view was the backdrop to many meals, family conversations, and fun-filled evenings. The house is large, with plenty of room for the 8 of us who stayed there. Great facilities throughout, with AC, 4 clean bathrooms, and two kitchens. We used the outdoor grill one evening to make BBQ and it worked well (charcoal). The infinity pool was another meeting place throughout the week. Deep, clean, and with that same incredible view, we spent a LOT of time in it. The family also enjoyed a very unique aspect to this house - direct access to the sea from the path that winds down from the house. We spent hours snorkeling here, up and down the coast, and saw a large number of fish and other sea life. Overall, an oasis of calm. Run, don't walk!

One of the best villas I’ve stayed in as it felt so homely, and the outside area is gorgeous. We all loved it! Nikolaos was an amazing host and was always recommending places to visit and days out for us to try. The pool cleaner was easy to use, just put it in first thing in the morning and it will clean for around 2 hours. As well, having the robotic lawn mower mow the lawn while we were there too was a nice feature. Nikolaos was always responsive and made us feel right at home, as well as even leaving local olive oil for us to take back with us from our trip! The local taverna just at the bottom of the villa was sensational, and I would really recommend trying as much of the food off of the daily cooked menu as possible. Would stay here again!

This house was absolutely amazing – just like in the pictures, if not even better! The location right by the beach is truly breathtaking, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting. All the furniture and appliances are top-of-the-line – everything was spotless, high-quality, and incredibly comfortable. Ria was a fantastic host – super friendly, always quick to respond, and very helpful. We really appreciated how kind and welcoming she was. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would recommend this house to absolutely everyone. A perfect getaway!

Breeze House was prettier than the pictures, very large and well laid out and decorated. So much deck space to dine lounge read etc! Easy and convenient location to drive to beaches and attractions while not being in a crowded tourist part of town. Well stocked kitchen that was great for breakfast before heading out for the day.

What a fantastic stay! The place itself is gorgeous - even better than pictured and lots of nice details, like high quality outdoor furniture, automatic sunshades, and a well-appointed kitchen with everything you need and more. We brought our baby and it was perfect - they even provided a baby cot. The beach is a lot rockier than expected from the photos, but still really nice with the sun beds and umbrellas and you can hear the ocean from the house. The hosts were absolutely lovely, very sweet and responsive and proactive about checking in. Parking is easy with a free lot next door. The only drawback is that it’s on a very busy main street and can be quite loud at night, so I’d recommend bringing earplugs. The walk into town feels longer than anticipated with the summer heat, but there are also some very nice restaurants a 5 min walk in the other direction that are worth checking out: Taverna Galera and Prima Plora are both great!

I truly recommend staying with Niko in this beautiful villa! The house is very modern, the outside area spectacular and private and the communication with Niko was clear and helpful. The accommodation works for both families and friends. The house is located around 30mins from Chania which is easy to get to by car. Can only recommend renting this villa.

ComfiNest was exactly what we pictured from the listing - nothing hidden. Special touch was the huge basket of welcome gifts on arrival. A studio flat within easy walking distance to everything in Chania, but out of the way enough that you don’t feel you’re in the middle of all the tourists. The patio was great but does get slightly hot in the middle of the day (to be expected in June). Parking was a bit of a worry, but we were lucky enough to find spots at the Theatre parking near the old city walls a 5m walk away.

Always responsive and provided recommendations for parking which is important in that part of Chania. Nice place to stay in a quiet part of town - easy to walk to lots of nice shops and restaurants.

We had the most fantastic family holiday here and can’t thank Giannis enough for being the perfect host! Her place is exactly as described and we will definitely be back! Thank you again for having us!

The Villa at Almyrida was in a lovely peaceful location up the hill from Almyrida. We hired a car as it was a good distance from the beach but the peace and quiet and the view made up for that. We explored more inland the villages of Vamos and Gavalochori but had the beach and restaurants handy. Had a lovely stay and Michael was very accessible if we needed.

Absolutely perfect. Calm, private and beautiful location. A traditional stone house with modern equipment. Overlooking the valley and sea on the horizon. Surrounded by olive trees below and only the mountain top behind you. Super clean. Nice fresh food like fruit, drinks and bread were ready in the fridge! Lefteris was considerate and friendly. Responded quickly if there was anything you needed. So nice! Lefteri's brother Rafael owns the olive grove and holds tours. Warm, local and informing 10/10 highly recommend it. Book it as soon as you arrive, it's worth seeing! Heads up you need a car to stay here, and the final street leading to the house is super steep at 2 points. Get a car with high ground clearance, a low car will scrape! Also in Greece hotels and rentals need identification by law for tax reasons. So name and id or passport number. I would recommend that during the stay for 1 day you just enjoy the property and views. Relax, take it all in. Just perfect, book it!

This was definitely one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in! It was like a home away from home in the heart of Chania. It’s definitely as nice as the photos - new, clean, comfortable, amazing design and renovation, and surprisingly spacious. Perfect. Thank you, Evi! I wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Thanks for having us. Very good home with everything you need to be comfortable. We appreciated our stay, and would 100% recommand this house. Loved it ! We appreciated a lot the snacks given (cheese/milk/bread), because we came from the airport at 10PM and it saved us.

The house has one of the best views of Crete in its price range. It was clean, cozy and many amenities were present; plenty of cutlery, seasonings, ice cubes etc. The communication is perfect, Maria answers within 5 minutes. The only negative point of critique I am able to give is that the bed is a little bit hard. This is the best airbnb I ever stayed in. Thank you Maria for the amazing place to stay!

A short walk from downtown Kalyves, but far removed from the hustle and bustle of the town of Kalyves. Several good places to eat, with some services such as medical and a pharmacy, a couple small markets with enough provisions. The location had absolutely amazing views of the bay of Souda, very private and quiet. The property is secured by an electric gate, to keep wandering tourists away, in that this accommodation appears historical in nature, maybe all that’s left of an old kastelli, based on the rock walls. I could be wrong, but I would guess that the actual accommodation is what used to be the powder magazine for the old fort. We enjoyed the place immensely.

Der Aufenthalt gefiel uns sehr gut und wir wurden sehr herzlich und persönlich empfangen. die Wohnung befindet sich direkt oberhalb einer Bar. Je nach dem hört man in der Nacht die Musik etwas, uns hat das aber nicht gestört, da es nur sehr leise war.

La communication avec Anna et Christina a été parfaite. L'appartement est très bien, propre et lumineux et très bien placé. Tous les produits de premières nécessités sont là. Sans compter les petites attentions supplémentaires. L'endroit idéal pour passer de bonnes vacances, à 10 mn à pieds pour les petits restos, magasins et port. De plus un parking à 200 m avec voiturier 24h /24, le personnel était vraiment gentil. Nous avons été enchantés de notre séjour et le recommandons sans hésiter.

The house was lovely and very convenient to get to from the airport. The surroundings were idyllic and we had a very peaceful stay here. Kostula was a brilliant host, always very responsive when we had any questions. We were supplied with basic amenities for cooking which is always a bonus as we didn't need to go straight to the shops for oil, salt, coffee, etc. There was also a homemade cake waiting for us on arrival and we were given some fresh eggs from their hens when we met Kostula and her husband! All in all it was a brilliant stay with wonderful hosts and we would love to visit again!

we stayed in mid may 2025 for 9 nights the apartment is modern even usb charging sockets built in air con excellent Jacuzzi comfortable for 4 adults kitchen easy for cooking main balcony around 25feet by 12 feet with 2 sets of comfortable seating two lovely bathrooms even a dishwasher. Restaurants are 10 min walk as well as coffee shops etc. There are 3 large supermarkets 5mins drive and Chania is 15 mins drive by car and around 3 - 4 balconies NETFLIX and GOOD WIFI oh and did I mention the VIEW you WILL NOT BE WATCHING THE TV sunsets and vino . You will be living amongst local families and parking is outside. On our travels we like to have a modern apartment with large balconies and amenities near this apartment DELIVERED many thanks for the host for having us and best wishes to you all Declan and Mari

Absolutely stunning architecture, one of the best Airbnb experiences to date. Hosts were extremely helpful and responsive, went above and beyond. Will absolutely be staying here again when back in old town Chania.

This place looked just like the photos, we were very comfortable here. Our host was very proactive in making sure we had everything we needed such as new towels and sheets throughout our stay. All in all it was very much work the money and I would 100% recommend.

Highly recommended if you want to partake in the experience that is old town Chania. Lots of cute bars and restaurants around in a cute alleyway. Perfect for people who enjoy the muted sound of enjoyable night life.
